Andre was charismatic, fun, but also completely professional.  Trying to "explain" a haircut to someone is so difficult, but Andre nailed it.  I had the cut and beard trim and both were excellent.I travel a ton for work, and finding a barber is so very difficult.  I'm happy to say that I've found my new spot!  I'd highly recommend this establishment and look forward to giving you my future business. Every haircut I get here is the best! I had been going to lower-end hair salons for years. I figured if someone messes up, it'll grow back - but at the same time I like my hair to be a certain way. I went to 18|8 for the first time last Fall and haven't gone anywhere else since! You get exactly what you pay for here: top-notch, high-end quality and its worth every penny. Andre is my regular stylist (every 2-3 weeks) and he is nothing short of exceptional! He takes the time to focus on the smallest things to make sure ever single cut is perfect. Andre is extremely knowledgeable and is willing to answer any questions and I have and give me some ideas about new styles that might fit my hair type. Do yourself a favor and stop paying $10-$20 for a cut. It's definitely worth it at 18|8!! More...

I'm not typically one to pay this much for a haircut. But the service here is excellent and friendly. The stylists (at least from what I've seen) are knowledgeable and quite capable. The atmosphere is perfect for a guys haircut place--not overdone, but you can tell they care about the small details. I consider myself very picky when it comes to finding a good place to get a haircut. After trying different places I finally found this 18|8 location and I just knew this was exactly what I was looking for. They are super professional and friendly. You can get a complimentary drink while you wait or while you're getting your haircut done. From water, soda, or a coffee to a beer or something else. I have been coming here now for 3 months and have really enjoyed Jillian and the culture they have created specifically for men. A few things that I like are the hot stone massage, hot towel on the face, beer to help yourself to, and straight razor cut around the neck. I went in there not knowing what to expect. I was immediately greeted and offered a beer while I was waiting. I can instantly tell the atmosphere was fantastic. This was not only an awesome gesture but I've never received this treatment from a hair salon. Kim cut my hair and I really didn't know what I was going in for. She walked me through a few options and the end result was unreal. She really took the time using precision for each cut and really cared to give a flawless cut. I didn't really know what to expect my first time going but now that I have, it was a great experience. It is a very nice place inside. While you wait, you're provided complimentary drinks which include water, pop, and even beer. Depending what you go there for, you can expect to be there for 40 minutes to an hour so don't recommend going if you're looking for a quick haircut. The stylist that I got was Kathy. She was great and wonderfully explained the whole process. The spa experience that came with the executive haircut wasn't too long which was perfect for me. She did a great job on my hair and did a good job at explaining and suggesting what I should should do with my hair when I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. The cherry on top of the whole experience was at the end of the haircut. Usually at most places, the stylist will tell you that they're finished and then you go pay. At 18|8, your stylist will wait for you at the register to make sure you enjoyed your experience and double check that you were pleased with the results. They also show you what products they used on your hair if they ended up styling it. I really loved how they do that. Most places don't do that so it really shows that they truly care.The only small negative for me was the price. $40+ for a haircut might be somewhat pricey for some people. I don't mind too much since I get my haircut close to every two months. Other than that, I highly recommend this place. Even if you only go once, it's nice to go just for the experience and wonderful people. More...
