The 1842 Inn is the former Gresham mansion - where young Leroy Gresham penned a diary throughout the Civil War - before his tragic death in 1865. The Inn is magnificently restored and is a very special experience ... especially if you sleep in Leroy’s room (Magnolia Room on left at the top of the stairs). A wonderful breakfast is served on the patio behind the Inn. The staff are professional and pleasant to deal with - and they will treat you just as if you are Oprah Winfrey - who has also stayed there. More...
