Loved it! Both the service and the food were excellent. Try the polenta or the au gratin potatoes, both were wonderful. Steaks were cooked prrfectly.

Nice ambience, excellent service, great food. Started with chargrilled oysters; light, tender, flavorful. Husband got the NY Strip with Demi glacé, tender, well seasoned, flavorful, a prime cut of meat. I got the filet, same review. I love the wood grilled flavor. I even got seconds on the creamed spinach - it comes family style. Husband ate every bit of his key lime pie. My NY Cheesecake was huge, but tasty. We had to try the sage lemon creme brûlée, and it was delicious. We will go back. More...

This was our first visit at 117 Prime. Â We made reservations, but they weren't required for a Monday night. Â There were very few occupied tables during our 6pm dinner. Â We wanted to take our son to a nice dinner before he left for college. Â We weren't disappointed. Â We started with the chargrilled oysters. Â They were good but a little heavy on something that tasted like Tabasco sauce. There were only 5 of them per order. I was expecting a dozen. . My husband and I shared a 16oz Ribeye, loaded baked potato and a side of grilled asparagus. Â We still came home with a doggy bag. Everything is a la carte. Â The sides are very generous. Our son got the catch of the day which was Red Snapper- which was served with sides. Â He had no complaints with his dinner. The steak was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Â The baked potato was huge but a tad undercooked. Â The asparagus was probably the best I've ever had. Â The other tables had yummy looking rolls but we weren't offered any. Â My husband had a premium bourbon. Â I just had water. I'm not sure if the glass had an odor or the water just tasted bad. Â The server was very friendly and attentive. Â The manager came by our table to check on our dinner. Â When I mentioned this was our first visit, he offered us a free dessert. Â He and the server both suggested the rhubarb/strawberry pie. I was skeptical but we felt adventurous. Â They baked it fresh after it was ordered. Â It took 10-15 min to come out but was definitely worth the wait. Â The serving was plenty for each of the 3 of us to have a decent sized serving. Â It was also served with a creamy, premium vanilla ice cream. Â We were all very pleasantly surprised on how great it tasted. The manager came back to Our table to see if we enjoyed the pie. Â The meal was pricey but was a great splurge for a special occasion. Â They partner with the Orpheum with special menu and pricing on show nights for season ticket holders. Â We will definitely come back. Â There was a very cool looking bar in the rear of the restaurant. Â There were comfy chairs, love seats and sofas to relax. Â It looked like a great place to hang out with friends. There was a smaller bar in the front as well. . The restrooms were clean and well stocked. Â There was a comfy chair in the ladies room which would be great for a nursing mom. More...

Excellent ribeye steak an heirloom tomato salad. The bone marrow and grilled asparagus were good. Must mention the blood orange Manhatten too. Located on Union just east of main Street. Staff was wonderful, I believe our servers name was Stephanie. Manager spoke to us a couple times too. I would consider 117 Prime before a show at the orpheum. They had some kind of pre selected menu for orpheum Memphis goers. More...

Food and service are top notch! Scott went above and beyond. We had the filet, loaded baked potato, and a phenomenal (but seasonal) salmon. Best meal I've had in a long time. I'd go for the carrot cake or key lime pie next time. The cheesecake wasn't my favorite. More...

First impression was that it was a smaller more intimate restaurant, which is always nice instead of a chain. From here we were seated and waited on by Stephanie. Very nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. Now to the amazing part the food! We began with char grilled oysters and shrimp cocktail, the shrimp were large and very fresh as were the oysters! We then proceed into the main course with a ribeye and a sirloin along with bone marrow, loaded baked potato and creamed spinach. Everything was perfectly cooked and let me tell you if you never had bone marrow it is a must try. I was continuously impressed by the food as the night went on. Everything was fresh and made on site from the sauces for the steak (which didn't even need it) to the cheesecake. 12/10 would recommend to any and everybody. More...

Been here a couple of times. Â Food is 5 stars, best steakhouse in Memphis except for Flemings perhaps. Â Last night, I had an impeccable ribeye and my friend had a delicious pork chop. Â The scalloped potatoes and sauteed mushroom side dishes were perfect. Â Our waiter was a bit inexperienced and needed some more training about the dishes and wines. Â The valet parking was perfect. Â I suspect I was simply unlucky with a new server. Â Overall, we had a wonderful evening. Â Highly recommended. More...

Great service, knowledgeable waiter, quality food with lots of options for steak toppings. Oysters were delicious for appetizers. Shareable family-style sides. Husband and I split a steak and sides which ended up being plenty of food. More of an open atmosphere without much privacy unfortunately. Also not the most convenient location being downtown without much parking near by so we walked a lot, but it ended up being great weather at sunset which turned out lovely! More...

Service was very good. Food was very good. Nothing fancy or innovative for a traditional prime steakhouse restaurant. There are plenty of prime steakhouses in Memphis. This is a good one. Our overall experience was a 4.5 but I went with 4 stars as the prices were on the high end of Memphis prime steakhouses. You expect expensive at a prime steakhouse and this is very expensive and I have very high expectations with these prices. You will not be disappointed. More...

Super nice place, very clean and extremely attentive staff. Â I like the noise level...the music and crowd is loud enough to not feel too quiet but not so loud that you cant have a normal conversation. Â I would say just right. The lunch menu is reasonably cheap for such a nice restaurant and the burger/ fries did not disappoint...cooked perfectly and loaded with toppings. The oysters were good (raw and char grilled), Â the sides were good, Â great bartenders, Â mediocre steak, Â sub par carrot cake. Â That pretty much sums it up. Â 117 strives to be a four star steak house but falls short of what it takes. Â Is it bad....No, Â is it great....No! More...

This was a surprisingly cool place. It was recommended to me by a fraternity brother that lives in Memphis. It's a midscale place with upscale pricing and a very limited menu if you go to the back bar area. They have a different menu than the front of the restaurant. I had the8OZ COULOTTE STEAK with blue cheese and it was absolutely fan-tabulous. It was $26 at the time that I ate there. The char-grilled oysters were really good also. The ambiance is quite and comfortable. It's great for a quaint date night in the front of the restaurant or a chill hangout date in the back bar if you're in town. The service was awesome as was the food. There is parking across the street that you must pay for until 6pm and then the garage is free. I do recommend this establishment. More...

Went there last night for Valentine's dinner. The food was very good. The staff was very pleasant. Only negative was there is a little sitting area towards the back of the restaurant located next to the kitchen. This was where we were seated. It was very bright due to the kitchen lights. It wasn't exactly the atmosphere you would expect from an upscale steakhouse. More...
