I've eaten here a few times and somehow have just tried the red chile today. It's life changing. Or, life affirming. Or, life giving. It'll do something to your life that will be positive! Get the red chile and smother everything you own with it.I only give it 4 stars because the service can be a bit slow. Food is great! But one of the staff ladies will grab your chair and pull it out from under you when you're  moving the chair out of the way of the side of the table. The staff will not apologize.

Ate at the Chile Pod today, red and green sauce was delicious, service was good and we were seated fast. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen with the cooks, I lost count of how many F words I heard being screamed across the restaurant. That was a first for me!

I am not exaggerating when I say that I visited The Chile Pod every day (other than Sunday) while visiting Farmington. Walking in, you get a sense of community and home with local items and art for sale. The salsa is some of the best table salsa I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. I've had a few different waitresses/waiters and all have been incredibly friendly. The prices are totally reasonable. My favorite menu item is absolutely the Green Chili & Beans with Chicken. It comes with two sopapillas on the side which is a perfect touch. The bowl of chili doesn't look big but it is absolutely filling. Since my visit was in January, nothing sounded better than Chili for dinner each night. All menu prices were reasonable. I have nothing but great things to say about The Chile Pod!
