Sunshine Builders remodeled our house and they are everything you want in a contractor when remodeling your home. The owner, Joe, came to our house to inspect the job every day. He checked everything and the job was never left unattended for even one day. It shows how diligent he is. Our backyard was an ugly jungle and Joe transformed it into a tropical paradise. Our kitchen was the size of a closet and Joe enlarged it into a gourmet kitchen that any top chef would be thrilled to cook in.Joe is an expert in what he does and he only hires the best people to work for him. He is conscientious and attentive to every small detail.I don't know where these negative reviews came from. They obviously didn't have Joe doing their construction jobs. They seem like fake reviews to me. It certainly doesn't describe the excellent work Joe does.I would hire him back in a heart beat for any job in the future. More...

One of my friends went through a traumatic experience when they had to deal with a remodeling company. I will say...that at first I was hesitant about using Sunshine builders because of their experience. It wasn't just specifically sunshine, but any company. I made peace and decided to give them a shot rather than judge a book by its cover. Thankfully, all went well and through the process we were able to feel comfortable to use sunshine later on, which we did. The Sunshine Builders came out to our home to do some work. Before the work started, we asked them to do an estimate so we can get an idea of the price, since I had a budget in mind. The estimate was free FYI, which was great. Some of the companies I wanted to have come out wanted to charge and I didn't want to spend more. Jo was really nice when he mentioned to me that he would beat the budget price because he values his customers. This project included some roofing due to the rains as well as a repaint and refinish of the interior. The easiest and most simplest company to work with. As far as any legit company should be. They give you a print out and an emailed version of the estimate that they took the first time they came around. We first came in with the thought of just redoing our bathroom, but we wanted the house to look alike so we decided to make the cabinets the same in the kitchen as well. We wanted a more modern look to our home and Sunshine Builders did just that. They listen to what you want and always clarify something before they proceed, which I really appreciated. Jo with Sunshine Builders recently renovated my kitchen. He came highly recommended after I asked a friend who did their kitchen. They mentioned that I wouldn't regret using Sunshine builders if I ever decided to remodel. Through their work, I was able to trust this company for the remainder of the job and for any future decisions I might make that involves any type of remodeling. Performed just an amazing job for me. About a month ago I redid my whole entire bathroom with Sunshine builders. They were a great company to collaborate with. My dad and I were very satisfied with how the team handled it all. We switched out the tile last minute and chose a different style and they were able to accommodate it. So happy i chose it last minute and switched it because its much nicer and better this way. This review is long overdue. Let me start off by saying how quickly Sunshine builders respond. I contacted about 4 different places to do general construction on part of my home and Sunshine Builders was the only one who responded within a couple of hours, while the rest took days. He started off my taking measurements in the areas I wanted done, which was the bathroom and bedrooms. In order to give a reasonable and accurate quote, you need to take measurements. After a couple of days, he had come back with a 3D image of the areas. So dope and so accurate. You would think a huge company who has the time to spend and do 3D imaging on what your house might look like is expensive. They are reasonably priced and comes along with great quality staff and work. All members were clean and professional.They are so appreciated by me and already gave my friends and family their number. More...

After doing some research and asking around I came across sunshine builders. I have previously dealt with great companies, but my parents were very specific on what they wanted and what kind of company they wanted. They were looking for certain characteristics and qualities a company could offer and not many of them have that. With Sunshine builders specifically, they checked off everything we had wanted within a company. I was very impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their work. I knew from the moment we spoke over the phone and scheduled an appointment to meet that I would choose them. Once they met with my parents and I, we were able to make an executive decision and choose to use their services. I called in generally just to schedule an appointment with Sunshine Builders. I had a great first impression of them once we started speaking over the phone and emailing about scheduling an appointment. Once they had stepped into my home, i felt i had chosen the right company. They remodeled my home and made it look amazing. It is all modernized, which was to my tasting and style. They didn't leave one ounce of a mess in my home...it felt like they never even came in! It took about a month and a half to finish this huge project we both had in mind. I decided to redo my 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the home remodel we just recently had. Sunshine has clearly been in business for a long time and it shows how they handle their craft overall throughout the years. I was a bit indecisive throughout the process and it never seemed to be a problem with them. Most companies would get upset or get mad at the fact that I would change my mind so quickly. I have some more work I plan on doing in the future and I'm certainly happy to use Sunshine builders again. I give them five stars for everything they have done for me the past month or so. I had a wonderful experience using sunshine builders for a complete home remodel. The experience was top-notch. Every single person I interacted with was just amazing. So professional, so friendly and so much more. They all seem to have such great personalities as well as great mannerisms. The whole process took about two months to complete and the project stayed on budget as well as on schedule. There were numerous changes we made through the process and they handled it very well. Most companies I have dealt with in the past has either been rude or given me attitude. But I hired the right team for these services and I am sure you won't regret them either. I have worked with this company before and it never fails to satisfy. I was looking to redo my daughters bathroom for her special needs. My daughter has trouble getting around and I was looking for something very specific for her. I discussed my project and concerns with Joe and he assured me he can do exactly what I wanted. My house always have an electric bill issue with the AC going all summer long and everything we used today being electronic. This issue caused me to start and look for a company that can lower my bills by installing a solar panel system or any other type of a solution. Since switching to nuclear power was frowned upon by my neighbors and the federal government, I decided solar panels would be worth a try. After looking and researching on several companies, I decided to meet and talk to the representative from Sunshine builders. Benny and his staff over at Landmark Construction were great. Benny walked me through the whole process and he was completely honest and accurate with the pricing and time schedule. The system that he recommended me was a 3.1 kW system with panels on the roof of the house. He had the time to tell me how will it go and what will be the final results after the system will be fully installed and working. I have a past experience work in the construction industry and I know competence and good workmanship, these guys know what they are doing and do it well. I was very satisfied with the work and with the system that they installed at my house. My utilities bills came down as Benny said they will. I would recommend them to anyone considering solar power. Picture this: your elderly mother's 1950's house has been neglected for years and is slowly deteriorating around her (to call it a Zombie house would be kind). Despite years of begging/pleading/threatening she refuses to do anything about it. Finally, you can't stand it anymore and during a visit to Mom's take matters into your own hands. Not knowing any contractors in the area, we were at a disadvantage. We were so fortunate to find Sunshine Builders on Houzz! Within 10 minutes of submitting our request, Raquel called and set up an appointment with Gil, our project manager, for the next day. Gil was polite, patient, understanding and non-judgmental from beginning to end. Over the next month we had the roof, windows, siding and stucco replaced. Gil and Joe were at the job site multiple times and always accessible by phone. Everyone associated with the project was professional, courteous and on-time. They clearly recognized what needed to be done and the best way to do it. The house looks great and we are confident it will be a safe and comfortable place for Mom in the years to come. We needed a reliable contractor to do complete master bathroom and bedroom remodeling project at our house. We met Yehuda and we had the feeling that this will be a great experience. The first time we met at the house, Yehuda went over everything with us and it was in such a perfect and easy way that we felt very happy right away. Yehuda was at the house all the time to answer our questions and to provide solutions to the issues that came up. Their crew was also terrific and very productive. The work included the removal of a wall, place tile all over and redo the shower while in the master bedroom, they installed new light, reconfigured the electricity, new paint and special wood work. While they were taking apart the old bathroom wall the outside wall cracked. Yehuda was on it, fixed it so good that we could not tell that anything happened. The communication between us to Yehuda and between Yehuda to his crew was the main key. We called in Sunshine builders so they can help us with our renovation after we heard great things about them from a friend who recently hired them for their house and they were very happy too. We wanted to renovate our kitchen including the install of a new floor, new cabinets and island, new appliances and lighting. Our kitchen had a problem with the subfloor that was uneven and we needed to level it before installing anything. The flooring was the beigest problem and Yehuda with his workers removed and demolished the whole kitchen, fixed the big problem of the floor and started to rebuild it from zero. The kitchen cabinets, backsplash, island, lighting and the appliances were installed in such a professional way that we were really surprised and happy with the way it came out. Yehuda did a wonderful job and his management skills were really noticeable and presented the quality of this company. Guy was extremely planned, well-mannered, specialized and easy person to work with and mainly to dealt. He helped us from the early stages of the remodeling by planning the new layout and selecting all the relevant materials and finishes for the two full bathrooms remodeling project. All the materials that he provided for us were of high quality materials. He also was very reachable by phone and he visited our house each day during the week in order to check the work of the crew, approving each stage and addressing all of our questions, comments and concerns. More than that, the working crew was reliable, prompt, hard-working and organized. During the work, we noticed that they always focused to the original plan making sure that each item of the remodeling will be no less than in perfect condition, but also very open to our suggestions when we had any. We hired Sunshine builders after meeting with 4 additional contractors that were specialized in kitchen remodeling projects. During that whole remodeling, Guy the contractor was very easygoing with us and he never tried to rush us into a decision or to try and sell us things that we didn’t need it. At the end this method made the overall experience very enjoyable and appreciative. The style that we were looking for was a modern look with all the appliances that we wanted. Guy suggested that we should go with custom cabinets that will be much better and will fit 100% to our kitchen space. The remodeling work started with the complete demolition of the old kitchen and progressed based on the schedule that was assigned by Guy before. We were lucky enough by not to have many additional problems that will ended up with additional costs (this is happening very often when walls are being removed and due to old plumbing or hidden leaks). The workers were always on time and very professional while managed and supervised by Guy. What made it easier was the fact that all of them have been working for Sunshine builders for long time and we noticed that they work from the heart and putting attention to all the details and perfection of the work. This type of approach when Guy was the main person during the remodeling and we dealt with him mainly. We must mention that this was extremely important to us because we didn’t want to deal with all the scheduling, workers and mainly with sub-contractors. Our kitchen project was completed after 5 weeks (only one week beyond schedule). Our kitchen is truly the envy of all our friends and guests that visiting often the house. Sunshine builders exceeded our expectations much more than what we expected or anticipated. We purchased a house that was semi old and we needed an entire remodeling for many parts of it such as the bathrooms and kitchen. Because we knew that we have a strict budget, Eran at Sunshine builders came up with some ideas for the bathroom for example, that allowed us to some money by leaving the old subway tiles in parts of the bathroom that were still in excellent shape and to build around them the rest of the bathroom. This created a new/old bathroom that looks great and within the budget that we had. In the kitchen area, He recommended us to remove the separation wall between the dining room and kitchen which will give us an open space and larger area for cooking and dining. Eran was so very helpful in listening to us and understanding first what we want and need. This approach was perfect because the remodeling project came out extremely good and it was well coordinated and we absolutely admire and love the new kitchen and bathroom. Benny was a great help when we needed to plan and remodel our bathrooms at our investment house. Our bathrooms remodeling project was based only on Benny’s suggestions and ideas due to the fact that our main home place is out of the state. His ideas and suggestions were all the way from selecting the materials, colors, type of style all the way to paint colors and all of them were excellent and we loved it very much. More than that, because it’s our investment house, we really cared about the time frame for the work and his projected time for the remodeling project was excellent and achieved. Yosi of Sunshine builders is definitely the best contractor we have ever worked and dealt with! This was not the first time we hired him but the second. We have been totally happy in both remodeling projects. Yosi was well organized, professional, and honest and always answers or returns our calls quickly. When we met with him, we noticed how patient and helpful he is with everything from listening, understanding planning and handling changes that came up during the work. His crews arrived to the house on time each day and they worked efficient with quality. Our latest remodeling included major repairs/remodeling after a flood that happened to us while we were in a vacation, and we decided to live in the house while the work was in progress. From our first phone conversation that we had with Guy at Sunshine builders, I understood that this is a different company that work differently from all the other ones. Guy really understood the value of the relationship that must have when a remodeling project is achieved and he understood clearly our expectations. During our meetings at our that house, Guy didn’t relied just on our personal design concepts and more than that, his design process started with our design preferences and included additional solutions to several items that we wanted to have but unfortunately they couldn’t be implemented. One of the ideas of Guy was to take down one wall that separated our kitchen from the rest of the house and we loved that idea because it made the house with a much larger open space. The remodeling went fast and Guy made sure that the crew will work at the house on a daily basis making sure that the daily tasks will be accomplished. While the work was in progress, Guy went with us to several vendors in order to select the right materials for our remodeling. We worked with Guy and his team and sub-contractors from Sunshine builders on my master bedroom and master bathroom remodeling project that also included the addition of a walk-in closet. The remodeling project has been finished 2 months ago and I am still very happy and satisfied from the way it all came out. The master bedroom needed to be upgraded by removing the old carpet with a new modern hardwood floor, new coat of fresh paint, nice crown molding and wood shoe base, LED lighting all around with home automated switches and outlets, and new wiring for my home entertainment system. In the bathroom, they basically did everything from the removal of the old shower all the way to a new relocation of it with nice double sink vanity and lighting. The new walk-in closet was created by shrinking the master bedroom in few feet and extend it to the outside of the backyard. Guy put on all his skills and designing expertise and this was the main reason (to my opinion) why my remodeling project came out in such a success. When I asked his advice for the type and style of the new tile floor for the bathroom, his outstanding idea and suggestion was very impressive and his communications skills meet my needs too. All of the involved personal were very detailed and focused on the timelines and quality while making sure that the work will be completed as scheduled. We recently bought a new house and we wanted to update several sections at the house including some cosmetic updates. During our research for the right contractor for us, we met and interviewed 6 contractors including Sunshine builders and at the end, we decided to hire them for our remodeling project. Our requirement was that we will do all of that BEFORE moving in and on top of it, we wanted to move-in A.S.A.P. Our interaction with Sunshine builders was excellent and we dealt with Guy (who took care of everything). Guy advised to us outstanding choices starting with design ideas all the way to the type of cabinets and paint style including the finish hardware. On top of that, Guy came up with a great schedule timeframe for the entire work that included: A complete new kitchen, new master bathroom, master bedroom with walk-in closet and new flooring throughout our home. Guy’s communication skills were very good during the work and he addressed all raised issues quickly and efficiently. Even now which is few weeks after we moved in to the house, we notice few small issues in the kitchen and Sunshine builders sent their people to check and solve them within a few days. We invited Benny to our house in order to check and provide us with a plan and quote that will include:
-Demolition of the old backyard

-Completely redesign the backyard in our vacation house.
In addition to meeting with Benny, We met with 3 other landscape companies.
The original plan was to:
a.Build a spa with a water feature
b.Stacked stone fireplace
c.Patio flagstone flooring & cover
d.Design the whole landscape and trees that will fit the new hardscape.
Benny plans and design were much more detailed and included all the explanations for the project. In addition to that, Benny came over to the house and went over with us only about his quote while he wanted to make sure that it covered everything we needed. This approach made us understand that this company is serious one and that the satisfaction of their clients is the main priority. The work was completed as Benny stated in his estimate and within the time frame that was estimated. During the work we didn’t experience any problem that Benny didn’t solve in a normal time frame. The main thing that we liked about Benny was that he seriously took our input and even the bad ones. Like everyone that do any improvement at his house, we also had a lot of ideas, but some of them didn’t fit the overall work. I truly feel that we were very lucky and fortunate to find and hire Sunshine builders to completely remodel our kitchen. The new kitchen is nothing less than a gorgeous space that include everything we wanted to have. The new kitchen was started with the designer who besides generating a new design of the kitchen, he also went with us on a managed trips to many suppliers so we can pick out all the cabinets, tiles, new floor, hardware and appliances (stove, dishwasher, microwave, hood and more..). After meeting and interviewing many contractors and home improvement companies to renovate our investment townhome in woodland hills, we decided to hire Sunshine builders. The remodeling project was to completely demolish and redo the inside of it, small part of the outside such as the stucco around the view windows and paint with the same color of the rest of the walls. The remodeling work took 2 months to complete and allowing us to move back to the townhouse. We are very happy with our decision to hire them! Sunshine builders did more than what they promised they would, and the final price was the same as the price we were quoted before we started the work. All the workers and sub-contractors had very high standards and mainly the subcontractors (which we understood that all of them have a very long term relationships with together). Our project manager Guy was at our townhouse each day and oversees the work. The communication between us and Guy was very productive as well. He made sure to inform us about any glitch or problem that occurred during the work, Guy called us and informed us about it and how he will solve it with an explanation. We constantly received photos via text messages and emails of the progress. Even during weekends, we got responses to our concerns and questions.
