Blake Therapy is an awesome practice. I have seen 2 practitioners there and they helped me tremendously. The information they gave me about nutrition truly changed my life and now I am equipped to take care of my body in the way it’s intended to be taken care of. They also hold groups which is super helpful for me. It’s super clean, all of the practitioners are so nice, and there’s free coffee too! If you want a place that’s compassionate and not pushy, go here. I felt like I had a lot to do with my treatment plan and that was empowering. More...

My family and I are very happy with the services provided by Blake Psychotherapy. We have been to several therapists trying to find the "right" one for my little sister, and we finally found her. Sara is wonderful, caring and my little sister is looking forward to her next session. I highly recommend Sara and her services! More...

It took me years to finally get myself to go see a therapist. I was always wrapped up in the stigmas, and well, afraid. I've been living with an eating disorder since I was 16-years-old. It's been a struggle. Anxiety has become an issue as well. However, with the help from Sarah, I've learned more about the disorder and myself. I feel comfortable talking to her and I recommend her 100%! More...

My sister and I both saw therapists in this practice. Everyone was so kind, and said hello to you, even if they weren't your therapist. When I would wait for my appt. time, I used their complimentary coffee/tea station and sat quietly or I went in the group room to add to the puzzle project Sarah has for her patients. I have had 3 therapists in my life but Sarah I feel did the best work with me. She empowered me to overcome the issues I was facing in young adulthood and encouraged me to practice self-advocacy to reach my most authentic self. Blake Therapy and Associates is usually my families go-to clinic for mental health issues. We have also referred many friends and family members here as well. More...

Blake Therapy and Associates literally changed my life. I was nervous about seeing anyone, but what made me chose them was that Sarah, (the practice owner) told me if I decided they were not a good fit, that she would personally help me locate a therapist that was. It immediately took the pressure off of me. Her approach made working on myself a little less painful. What I liked the most about her was that she used analogies for the tools I was supposed to use in times of panic. This worked so great for me. I can't thank her enough, now I am enjoying life way more than I was when I started. Stop looking for a therapist, go here! More...

Sarah is awesome. I had a family member use her for years and the change in his demeanor was tremendous. She brings her dog to work sometimes, which made my nephew happy. She is strong, independent and values the opinions of others, while constructing the best treatment plan for them. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for an honest, open, loving therapist! More...

Q&As

I love helping people and connecting with them in a meaningful way. I know I am doing my part to make the world a more peaceful place.

I enjoy the flexibility of making my own hours and not being under the constraints of an agency. I have always been independent and enjoy knowing that I have created my practice the way I want it to be.

Well they should only choose me if it's a good fit. There are lots of therapists out there with many different approaches and it's important to find the right person! I encourage "therapist shopping" and want people to get the help they need. I do offer a free 30 minute initial consultation to determine if we are a good fit.

I prefer in-person sessions but I do provide telehealth appointments if in-person isn't possible. I can only see clients who reside in Maryland even for virtual appointments.

I am fully vaccinated. I have an air filter and plexiglass partition in the office. I sanitize surfaces and furniture with U/V light in between sessions. There are very few people in the building besides myself and I don't share an office with anyone.
