Until a friend of mine told me about her amazing boudoir session with Valerie, I hadn't really given the idea too much thought. It was something that felt WAY out of my "comfort zone". But after hearing how comfortable and fun Valerie made it for my friend, and with my 5th wedding Anniversary fast approaching, I started warming to the idea and eventually took the step to contact Valerie. From our first correspondence, I got a good feeling. Valerie was great at communicating and making sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed. Even though I was technically doing the photos for my hubby, I got the impression that Valerie wanted it to be an empowering experience for me as well, which it absolutely was. I took my BFF with me for support, and even though I was initially nervous, within minutes of being at Valerie's house I felt like I was with someone I'd known for years. She is truly such a warm and open person. She helped me with posing, (which I was terrified of) and knew exactly the feeling and "look" I wanted my photos to convey. The photos came out AWESOME (and this is from someone who's overly critical of herself!) I will be gifting them to my hubby in a week for our Anniversary and I know he is going to be over the moon, but truthfully, this is something I'm so glad I did for myself more than anything.
