We had a excellent experience here the day after Christmas 2019! I was excited to see once I walked in the front door how on point the decor and ambiance was! Our server was super friendly and attentive with a great knowledge of the food and drinks. The Foie Gras Tourchon was so smooth with the perfect accompaniments and a glass of Prosecco. I had the Pho and it was spicy and married with the best ingredients o match my Pinot noir perfectly! My entree was the Pho and it exploding with flavor as a perfect match in the Pinot noir I had. Love this place and hands down one of the best spots in Knoxville! More...

I’ve had the luxury of eating at a lot of great places all over North America due to my work. My meal here stands out. It’s great atmosphere, the service is good but it was the menu. I enjoyed everything, every last bite. It was an excellent dining experience and one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. More...

Fantastic dessert! Steak and accompaniments were small, but tasty. Chef went above and beyond for a Vegan member of our party. I would definitely come back.

The location of the Oliver was great. It is right off Market Square. Close enough for everything but you were not bothered by the noise. The Staff was outstanding. I made my reservations wrong but they adjusted them and welcomed us right away. Our room was large, had a fridge, ironing board, safe and a comfy bed. It was a bit soft but so great to lay in. The hotel has a coffee machine but also has coffee in the loby in the mornings. There are bowls of apples throughout the hotel which is a nice touch. This is located 1/2 block from Market Square, and about 2 blocks from the main street. When you stay there you have access to the speakeasy. It's just fun I would stay here again if i was in town. We had a delightful stay at this old school boutique hotel. The rooms were spacious, very well appointed, and comfortable. The beds were luxurious and cozy. The staff were polite, helpful and timely. The location is ideal for downtown or UT activities. Only negative is the water pressure in the shower was too light. That said, highly recommend and would return! More...

We are from the greater Knoxville area but we wanted to stay at the Oliver Hotel following the recent Garth Brooks concert at Neyland Stadium! ||Concerning the location, the hotel is literally surround by some of the best restaurants in Knoxville and its location gives you and opportunity to experience the energy of the downtown activities. Additionally, it is easily within walking distance of Neyland Stadium and Thompson Bowling Arena at the university.||The hotel is very well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, you must try the speakeasy at the hotel...a great experience!!! More...

It's a hip little upscale joint with high end cocktails, and better than average food. The drinks really are the stars here though. I'm not into craft cocktails all that much, but every single drink I have ever had here really impressed me. The food is also well done. They menu changes regularly, and I like that. It makes you try new stuff. Check it out. More...

Super cool hotel with a spectacular restaurant and separate bar attached. Had the ramen twice and the bar (speakeasy) has a killer old fashioned and def get the meat and cheese plate. ||The rooms were clean and cool, funky decorations. Staff was super helpful and you can tell love the hotel and what they do. Downtown Knoxville is a really cool place to visit. I would highly recommend this place and this hotel. ||They give you day passes to the local YMCA (which is a beautiful location and restored old building with a ton of great equipment). ||If you come to Knoxville don’t stay anywhere else. || More...

Knowing nothing of Knoxville, I rolled the dice on The Oliver and hit the jackpot. It's perfectly located in the heart of downtown on Market Square. It's quaint and classy, with a killer speakeasy and a couple of excellent restaurants. The Oliver is the perfect antidote to big corporate hotels. It's a great home base for everything from pub crawls to romantic getaways. Highly recommend. More...

This is a little secret. The Oliver has a fantastic bar, it's a small setting but delivers excellent quality and service. Unique and expansive selection of specialty cocktails, great appetizers (loved the clams and mussels), delicious main course (the burger was outstanding and my wife really liked her bolognese) and the banana bread dessert was incredible. This is hands down one of the most interesting places I’ve been to. The atmosphere is NOT a typical bar atmosphere as “bar” implies bawdy drinking crowds- it is a very small and cozy area to share a couple of fine, handcrafted drinks with a friend or two (so larger parties should really look elsewhere). The bartenders were extremely knowledgeable, and the bar is stocked with a great variety of spirits as well as handcrafted infusions. And if you ask I’m sure they would be happy to create something specially crafted to your tastes! Looking forward to visiting again. More...
