Our group is (for lack of a better word) special. We are in the service industry and after a mind melting peak season we had a brief window to get together, say we appreciate you, and enjoy one another's company on a day that did not involve food and deadlines. We spent a lot of time trying to find something that would work for all of us (interests, cardio, cartography, competition) you know the usual stuff but nothing brought it all together. Except Mr. Treasure Hunt. Imagine the amazing race (minus the cameras unless you too have some gopro addicts), and some ingenious puzzles in an area that is as scenic as Fisherman's Wharf. There were other locales but this fit our bill. It was great fun blending our teams, and creating a fun and vibrant interaction. No bloodshed, just good times. I highly recommend it! Dan at Mr Treasure hunt was great to work with. We did the Exploratorium hunt with ~45 people as a team building event. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible. 2 hours was just enough time for a team of 5 to solve all or most of the clues. And we burned some energy "running" around he exploratorium. What a great experience! We had 7 hotel managers that attended a fun filled day at the San Francisco Exploritorum. Since it was pouring down rain, we opted for a inside event- really just please this was an alternative! We arrived-soaking wet- and there was DAN! Patiently waiting for our group as we dried off and got settled in. Dan was knowledgeable in all things about the venue and helpful while we got our bearings. The course and tasks were amazing! There were photo challenges too (my favorite part!) While we raced through the venue we discovered the best traits of our management team- a very rewarding experience for all who attended. Our team of 15 from work had a blast last week with Mr. Treasure Hunt at the SF Zoo. I contacted Dan from Mr. Treasure Hunt about a month ago expressing my interest in planning a treasure hunt at SF Zoo for my colleagues. Dan was very prompt at sending a response and was able to get us a favorable time quickly. Our company had a fantastic time on our treasure hunt in the North Beach/Chinatown district in SF! We broke up into 11 teams and off we went. The hunt was interesting, challenging and fun! It was such a pleasure to work with Dan. He was extremely prompt in getting back to me with any questions I had before the scavenger hunt as well as being early and prepared on the day of the event. Budget friendly and the best offsite fun event ever! Can't beat this fun adventure-some opportunity. The allotted time for participating in the treasure hunt was perfect as well. Our team was 25 folks and we broke up into 4 teams. Boy, were they engaged 100% and energized all the way through! Can't thank Dan enough for putting together such great puzzles and clues! Dan was so great to work with, super responsive and made it a breeze to set up! As I organize many events, I know the usual details that take time to get together. With Dan, I barely had to set up anything except our Happy Hour spot to finish at :-)The team had such a great time running around the city working together to solve the questions and puzzles. Dan was great to work with and made this team building event for our departments fun, engaging and easy to manage.  Dan's clues truly challenged our very intelligent group and the teams that worked together really reaped the benefits.  This was an opportunity to bring two different departments, that rely on each other professionally, together for a fun and active exercise.  Everyone seemed to enjoy it.  If you are the coordinator you will want to know that Dan was always responsive; arrived early, was on-site for the entire event and did a great job quickly tallying up the winners.  I recommend this highly for a workplace team building event. The first event with Dan for a corporate team building outing was so successful, I've scheduled a second event with Dan in which he created all new clues! The clues are challenging enough to keep teams engaged. It was a lot of fun to see what strategies each team took to solve and find the clues. Dan was AMAZING!!! I wanted to put together a fun event for a group of 12 people that got us  outside a bit since we're a technology company and sit in an office all day. We ended up splitting into 3 teams of 4 and that was perfect. The clues themselves were not easy at all, they really forced you to think creatively. What I especially liked was that these are the types of clues that you can't answer by dropping something in Google. Another great and fair point of the hunt is that having local knowledge really doesn't help you or give you an edge.I hands down recommend Dan to put together a hunt for any size group. More...

Dan arranged a treasure hunt for a 16 person group in Golden Gate park. The event was very well arranged. We were a bunch of techies who love solving problems. This was the second time I have used Dan for a company hunt (2 completely different locations). Each time, the clues were very specific to the area chosen and pretty tricky. These hunts are challenging and all the employees I have worked with had a great time. Dan is super-responsive with any questions you might have. I organized a team-building event for my team with Mr Treasure Hunt in downtown Palo Alto. We all had a great time. Dan is very friendly to work with. He gave us precise directions and tips before the event, met us promptly at the appointed time, and gave some great tips on how to proceed. His pricing model is very simple, so it's easy to get upper management approval for the event.We all had a blast, and it was a fun way to spend the day seeing your co-workers in a different light, solving clues together. Our company recently did a Mr Treasure Hunt event in downtown Palo Alto and it was a so much fun from beginning to end!Dan was great to work with. He was very responsive and communicative as we planned the event. Everyone had a fabulous time and could not stop talking about it. The treasure hunt appears hard but not impossible. I am a fan of the idea. However, i just called inquiring about different locations and some other options for our staff. Dan, literally refused to answer my questions and directed me to the website for each inquire i had. Some advice Dan, when an interested business is inquiring, that is a sales opportunity, don't send them away to the website (which also has some strange navigation properties, the information is not easy to find within the email or website.) I found the interaction with Dan to be unpleasant, i am unsure if we will be conducting business with this company due to this. More...

We worked with Dan for our quarterly event. We had such a great time! The booking process was extremely easy. Dan followed up before the event to get a final head count and that was all! We met with him and he explained the game extremely well. Then we were off! The clues we're challenging enough to make us think, but not too hard we would give up. Mr Treasure Hunt set up a fabulous adventure for our company offsite. Our treasure hunt took place at the Cantor Art's Center on the Stanford campus. Dan was easy to communicate with, always quick to respond to any questions, etc prior to the event. On the day of the event, he was there bright and early to be sure nothing in the treasure hunt area had changed. Every aspect of the event went smoothly. We had an absolute BLAST today solving clues on a Mr. Treasure Hunt afternoon in N. Beach/Chinatown.  The clues were difficult but not impossible, and required us to work together and strategize how to best maneuver around and not waste time etc.  Dan was great and clearly enjoys what he does. My company used Mr Treasure Hunt for a social event that was part of our annual summer leadership program for college students. There were about 20 of us, half college students (accounting majors) and half professional staff (accountants and consultants). Our hunt was in Downtown San Jose.We all had a great time, and we had great feedback from the students and staff as well! The hunt was the right amount of challenging and absolutely incorporated team-building as we worked together to figure out the answers to the clues and then run around Downtown San Jose to find them! This particular hunt covered a wide area, so we all felt like we got some good exercise :) It was also the right amount of competitive as we went up against the other teams to see who would win.I would absolutely recommend using Mr Treasure Hunt. Our Company Treasure Hunt was so much fun!We were looking for a company team-building activity to do when our sales team (spread out across the U. S.) came to visit our SF HQ.  We didn't have a large budget, and Mr. Treasure Hunt fit the price for an activity that would split our 21 person team into smaller groups.We opted for the Golden Gate Park Treasure Hunt - and lucked out to have a beautiful sunny day.  Dan was waiting for us and was a great mix of fun and professionalism as he handed out the maps, clues and gave the game instructions.The game was well thought out - each clue was the "right amount" of challenging (actually pretty hard for a group of 20 educated adults) and varied enough that it was necessary to collaborate with team members.   Some clues would be puzzles, some would be trivia - all led to a spot on the map where you had to find something.We met at the end and Dan gave out prizes to the winning team.  It was a great experience that forced us all to work together, get out of the office, and use our critical thinking skills.  We would definitely use Mr. Treasure Hunt again! Our Firm has used Mr. Treasure Hunt four times within the past few years in San Francisco and Palo Alto.  Often times, when employees see a  team-building activity on the agenda they are not very excited but Dan has proved them all wrong each time we have used him.  Our last group of 120 people had a custom "treasure hunt" in downtown Palo Alto and everyone enjoyed it.  Dan does an incredible job from start to finish and communicates everything clearly.  His treasure hunts are challenging, creative and most importantly FUN!  I would definitely recommend him to others and we will definitely be using him again in the future!  Thanks Dan!! I used Mr. Treasure Hunt for my birthday at S.F MOMA.  Ten friends, two teams, and a ton of fun.  I received PDFs of the clue sheet and answers, and had someone at work print them out and put them in sealed envelopes so I couldn't cheat.  (He also let us know we needed to bring pencils, rather than pens.) At first, I think people were a little intimidated looking at all the clues, but it wasn't that hard when we worked together.  It just took some good puzzle solving skills, some knowledge (fortunately, one person on our team could positively identify the city shown in a map on one of the clues), and perseverance.  They clues were very clever and had us running all over the museum.  It was also fun to compare how the two teams had gone about finding the answers.   Our team finished with 7 minutes to spare; the other team came in at exactly two hours--the amount of time we had been told the event would take. All in all--absolutely perfect.  I couldn't have had a more enjoyable birthday. More...
