My Background
In addition to being certified in various holistic practices, I have training in existential counseling and positive psychology. I hold a B.A. in Human Developmental Psychology from Eckerd College and I am in my final year at the University of the Cumberlands for my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Additionally, I am obtaining a specialty degree in Expressive Art Therapy from the Sarasota Expressive Arts Institute. In 2021, I will begin a second M.A. program in literature from Harvard University, followed by a Ph.D. in Expressive Art from Lesly University. I am the CEO and founder of A Home 4 Art, a nonprofit that provides art, music, drama, and literary services to impoverished and disadvantaged youth. I am an author and founder of The Barrie Patch, where I publish motivational children's books and game applications. Moreover, I am the creator of S.P.A., an online community for those suffering from dermatillomania and trichotillomania.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Growing up, I was exposed to harsh settings spurred by poverty, domestic abuse, drug addiction, and mental illness. As I grew up I explored creative outlets and became driven by educational opportunities. I gained experience as a professional voice-over actress, commercial model, published author, singer, Disney entertainer, pre-k teacher, gymnastics instructor, nanny, inspirational youth speaker, and as a group home caregiver. Eventually, I found a way to combine my life experiences, education, and passions in order to create a holistic practice centered around self-love and exploration. I believe that it only takes one person to create a ripple, that we are all capable of change if we desire it, and that healing can occur in more ways than one. I stand behind the idea that anything is possible and I am a strong advocate for finding ways to thrive.
