What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Anticipation.
As a photographer, when you're on your game, you get in a zone (like anything else). Things slow down and you feel what's coming next. Obviously, this manifests differently shooting a live wedding or shooting studio portraits. But in either situation, there is a "right moment" to take the shot. Successful photographers find that moment a lot.
That's usually how a beautiful portrait begins. A truly great portrait has to have good "bones." Then we flesh it out with design and advanced retouching—you'll hear us talk about "perfecting" if you connect with us. That's what we mean. Advanced retouching doesn't mean heavy retouching. It does mean designing a portrait with the right touches to deliver an effect or look that is somehow beyond the sum of its parts. We'll talk about that in advance, and we'll show you some examples/options. We have our idea of what makes a great photograph. In the end, it has to be great to you.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
The questions we ask go to scope and feel. In a wedding situation, for example, this lets us know if we should bias toward a more Formal or Contemporary style. Candids vs. Setups. Or Both. All of this goes to presenting the client with a budget and a plan that makes them excited about what we will create for them. Of course, we'll talk about budget and time, too. No matter the final scope and feel, our process is designed to over-deliver.
What do you love most about your job?
You. We love our clients. Followed closely by doing really really great work. We love that our growth has been exclusively through our clients recommending us to their friends & associates. Bark is the first tech referral program we've tried. We're hoping it's a good thing that leads to great clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We are serial entrepreneurs. We are a married couple. We've always worked on businesses we believe in and/or started ourselves. We are relatively new to Las Vegas, so this chapter of our journey is fresh and fun. All of the portrait examples we've included here are local.
Why should our clients choose you?
If they feel we are a good fit for their project. If they sense they would enjoy working with us. If they see themselves in the examples we've shared.
If not, then they probably shouldn't. We want to work with wonderful people on beautiful project.

Each Bridal Portrait project is custom designed around the needs and desires of the Bride. Of course, we will guide and inspire with options and examples, but we will remain open to new ideas and specific requests.
Gymnastics & Dance Portraiture
We have extensive experience is Young Athlete Portraiture in Dance and Gymnastics. We are routinely hired and trusted by premier programs across the United States (and locally) to provide their families with uncommonly superior Athlete Portraits. This is the fastest growing segment of our services.
Documentary and Promotional Video
Jaime has extensive experience as a documentary film/video producer in the not-for-profit sector. We take a limited number of these projects (1 or 2 per year), as they tend to include lots of travel and time. Projects have taken us all over the world, including the Brazilian Amazon, Irian Jaya, Malaysia, Canada, Mexico, and The Republic of the Marshall Islands. Plus many projects in the US.
Web Design & Development
Quite often our photography and video projects lead us to Clients with web design needs. Because the web is such a visual medium, the photo and video assets that we develop for these Clients are often perfectly suited for and leveraged for their new or upgraded website. Again, we only take on a limited number of web development projects each year.
Wedding Day Photography
There are few events in life as important as a your Wedding. Your Wedding only happens once. In real time. No do-overs.
So, we want it to be perfect. And we want your wedding photos and videos to show off how perfect it was. Or, if it wasn't perfect, it should at least look like it was.
