Brit was so helpful with my crazy mix puppy and my anxious shepherd. My shepherd used to be so afraid of everything that she would take it out on my other dog. Now she is calm and collected and a better girl for it. She looks to me for guidance in tough/confusing situations rather than reacting, which is safer for her and others in the long run. My puppy is young and bouncy. Teaching her basics and working on her recall is important for me to be able to give her a good life, as she is half bird dog and half sled dog. Brit helping me with this training allows me to exercise her regularly without fear that she will run away. Keeping my dogs safe and loved is my number one priority. Brittany is amazing!!! I went to her with my 6 year old pit bull based off of a recommendation and she exceeds every expectation. My pup is reactive to other dogs so I always worry about group lessons and super populated places but Brittany is so on top of things that there's never an issue. She finds out exactly what you want to work on with your dog and trailers every lesson to your family, she'll bring materials, meet in different places in your community and such. We have worked with other trainers and they don't come even remotely close to the same professionalism, knowledge, integrity or honesty as Brittany! In-Line K9 is the best decision we've made for our family. Brittany is hands down the most knowledgeable and professional trainer I've encountered. What I love most is that she deeply cares about animals. She's a fantastic teacher and extremely passionate about her craft. Our dog was a bit of a disaster -- high energy, fear and a lot of fur! Brittany taught me that our beast just needed some confidence, boundaries, and a boost to her obedience. We opted for a 4-week stay and train. Addie is now very well behaved but has maintained her personality! While it is an investment, the transformation to not only our dog but lifestyle is priceless. A few months ago I would have been leery to invite friends to stay at our home. This is my girlfriend's company and I have seen firsthand just how skilled, and passionate yet rational she is about dog training. Long before Brittany Straw chose dog training as a career she was fully devoted to K9 rescue, and she still is to this day. She has personally rescued, fostered, and rehabilitated, as well assisted in the rehoming of many dogs and Wolf-dogs. Brittany recognizes that a dog who behaves out of line, is a danger to itself and others, and is skilled in behavior modification. I know it breaks her heart when she sees dogs get labeled as "dangerous" or put down because of accidents that happen as a result of poor or no training. I am amazed everyday at how she was able to rescue our Husky "Fred" from death row and transform him from a destructive, territorial, reactive, escape artist, into a go anywhere, meet anyone, do anything off leash kind of dog. Owner Brittany Straw has been developing her craft over the last decade by acquiring the necessary hands-on experience it requires to handle any K9 at any level. Volunteering her time working with wolves, rescuing, fostering & rehabbing homeless pets is not only beneficial for her handling skills, but more importantly it’s extremely rewarding and fuels her passion. After successfully helping dog after dog, she realized that dog training was the career that she wanted to pursue. Fast forward to 2019 ~ the decision to make her goal a reality came to life, leading to In-Line K9 Academy!
