If you haven't been out to the Project Reo Collective to sample some of Spencer's lumpia from his signature Lola's/ Lia's Lumpia pop-up shop, then get your arse out to the hood NOW! This is Filipino and Filipino Fusion at max level! I mean the *Sisig Lumpia* is a Filipino cuisine loaded into a Filipino food. Not only that, but it's freakin' mouthwatering. It's not just sisig on the inside, but garlic rice, and damn well made, CRUNCHY garlic rice to boot. The sisig is juicy and crispy, so is the outer wrapping. The calamansi aioli drizzle on top offered a pleasant creamyness with a pop of citrus. I ordered the next heaviest item in the form of his *Mac n Cheese Lumpia* ($10). These were *loaded* and oh-so cheesy. To add another layer of complexity, Spencer provides a heavy spillage of this smokey, rich black pepper bbq mayo over your lumpia. Incredible! I wouldn't let the price scare you either because you get a ton! I mean, I ordered two with the intention of taking it home to the mom and pops later, but one alone could feed two people. I took a peek at their weekly specials too so I must become a repeat offender! I'm looking forward to trying the Chicken and Waffles (with adobo maple syrup) and the Adobo Wings some time in the near future. Hunter's Home Kitchen catered my wedding and it was amazing!!!!!! Chef/Owner Spencer Hunter was so wonderful to work with from beginning to end. Spencer was so patient and flexible throughout the planning process. He truly takes pride in his work and genuinely wanted both my NOW husband and I to be happy with the outcome. Spencer custom designed a menu to fit our wedding food dreams. The menu was so creative and the food had so much flavor! The food was served in different methods (tray passed and family style) which I feel really brought everyone together. When guests requested more food Spencer and staff quickly provided more without hesitation. Spencer had so much finesse in the way that he worked with me. He allowed me to express my ideas and worked off of that to share some of his. His staff was so great with the guests and it felt like we had family cooking our wedding food. To say his food is amazing does not do it justice!!! Â Wow. We had the please of using Chef Hunter to be the private chef for our wedding on the Adventuress Luxury Catamaran this weekend. I saw their post on FB before the Taco & Tequila festival and I accidentally found them at the fest when I stood in line for food. My husband thought I was getting him carne asada tacos and was disappointed when he got the lumpia....until he tasted them. And then he didn't want to share 'em with me! Chef Spencer Hunter is a culinary artist!He did a fabulously wonderful job creating a custom menu for my Hawaiian Wedding. Best Hawaiian luau ever!He knocked it out of the ballpark touching every single unique spinoff for something Hawaiian from fresh Ahi poke appetizer to main courses of kalua pork and wild boar including  beef poi stew and coconut rice,  sweet poi and shrimp curry. And a fabulous ending of freshly made malasadas and Filipino bibinka. My dad's heart was very touched to have something Portuguese like malasadas in honor of his mother.  Our guests felt like they took an island vacation. Why cant FB have more stars? Chef Spencer is a culinary artist who orchestrated a masterpiece luau for our Hawaiian themed wedding. He made unique spinoffs of every Hawaiian dish for our guests. From Ahi poke on freshly made taro chips appetizer to beef poi stew, smoked kalua pork and wild boar, sweet potato poi, shrimp curry over coconut pandan rice. My father's heart was touched when he tasted Spencer's homemade freshly made malasadas in honor of my dad's Portuguese mother. His mom, Benelia Hunter a seasoned event coordinator was our wedding planner. She listened and then turned our vision into a beautiful tropical Hawaiian reality. Guests were also served a signature cocktail created by Pierce Hunter. It took our guests breath away! These fabu-licious memories will last our entire lifetimes.
