Hendri's is amazing! It was the best choice in caterer we could have made and definitely one of our best wedding choices. Dan and his team were so wonderful to work with and very patient with all of my questions and requests . They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and taken care of at the wedding. I received TONS of compliments on the food, many guests said it was the best  food they've  ever had at a wedding,  and I was more than happy with the menu that we all came up with together. Hendri's was the best caterer ever for our outdoor wedding this summer! They are extremely responsive, friendly, and professional. Of the seven catering options our venue provided us with, Hendri's definitely had the best tasting food and as an added bonus was the most affordable. They did a beautiful job setting up the tables, linens, food, bar, and place settings the day of the wedding and the food was delicious. Our Daughter's Wedding Reception - from start to finish - was a very pleasant experience. We met Dan, who walked us through the space, talked about the party and the possibilities. He made us feel very comfortable and that he had everything under control! I interviewed a number of venues and Hendri's stood out. The value for your money is top notch and I don't really know how they do it! The food is prepared right there and can be tailored to your tastes. We received 100% compliments on the food and the space. We even had one family member who told us he had NEVER had good reception food and had low expectations. He made a special effort to tell us he was eating his words - AND going back for seconds! Bartenders and servers (Maria) were the best - they knew our names and our preferences that evening! We were even allowed to pick up all our decorations and odds and ends that Monday which made leaving the party so much easier.

Our daughter's wedding reception was held at Hendri's in July, 2014. The décor of the venue is very beautiful and elegant, yet definitely has a very comfortable old-world charm. Dan and Steve Sulz, the owners, are very professional, yet very nice and easy to deal with in all aspects of the reception. Mara Sulz is very artistic and was very helpful in all the planning stages. The wedding reception details were handled wonderfully, and eliminated much worry and stress for us. Our dinner menu was absolutely delicious, and Hendri's offers many selections from which to choose. Their staff was very courteous, efficient and always accommodating to all the guests' needs. The service was excellent all evening, especially from their staff serving drinks at the beautiful, antique bar. The décor and table settings were outstanding and added to the wonderful ambience of a fun-filled, joyous reception enjoyed by our guests. Our son-in-law is an Air Force Captain, and many military and out-of-town guests were in attendance. All were quite impressed with Hendri's, and we are still receiving many compliments from them. We have attended many events at Hendri's, including having our son's wedding rehearsal dinner held there, and each time the word "quality" comes to mind. We would highly recommend Hendri's for any special event or celebration, as their reputation is very well known and highly respected in the St. Louis area. More...

Hendri's was a perfect place for our daughter's wedding reception on May 2, 2015! We met with Maria to choose the menu and went with her recommendations ( make sure you ask for pasta, mixed with red and white sauce). Maria was there when we set up and the night of the reception and came up to us at different times to see if we needed anything. Make sure you ask for reserved parking cards for handicapped and immediate family. When we picked up containers, etc on Monday, everything was packed up, ready to go! More...

Our daughter's wedding and reception was everything we wanted it to be!! Hendri's catered it and the food was exquisite! !! We received numerous compliments from our guests. They said it was the best food catered at a wedding reception they had ever had!!! The staff went above and beyond that evening for us also. I can not say enough good things about Hendri's. Dan and Mara are wonderful. This venue is absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing. So many of our guests complimented us on our choice. Hendri's made sure we were fully accommodated, even when we were being a little picky. The staff was GREAT!!! The night could not have gone smoother. We got delicious food off of real plates and drank fantastic beverages out of real glasses. I contacted Dan multiple times throughout the planning process and he was always quick to answer me back. We are so happy we chose Hendri's Events to cater our daughter's wedding! Working with Dan and Mara was a wonderful experience from the first phone call to the clean up afterwards. We had our wedding reception at Hendri's and it was the most amazing night I could have imagined. Everything from first contacting Hendri's to picking up my decor after the wedding was a total breeze, so easy to work with. AND THE FOOD. Literally the best wedding food I have ever had - we have been getting non-stop compliments about how amazing the food was. The bar is lovely and they have so many options - my guests were very pleased. The venue was beautiful and intimate while being spacious - they even put my decorations up for me and set the tables (which a stressed bride really appreciated) and they did an amazing job. I was so so grateful for the care they took with our wedding. We cannot recommend Hendri's enough - I would give them 10 stars if possible. Me and my husband used Hendri’s for our reception venue and catering. We loved Hendri’s! The food was delicious, the drinks we great, the atmosphere was perfect for us, and best of all, Hendri’s is a great value for the price! I constantly get compliments on picking such a wonderful caterer! I heard about Hendri’s through my aunt, who picked Hendri’s back when she and her husband got married. They have a long history of providing a great venue for all sorts of events. My favorite part of the reception was the bar with a close second being the fire place. Hendri's was terrific and we are so glad we chose them for our venue! Dan and Mara were very accommodating with all our different requests, helping us adjust the menu for special diets, working with us as the guest count changed, and letting us visit the space several times to get a better idea of how to decorate and arrange things. Working with Dan was excellent. He did the samplings, planning, calls, and consultations with us. He was very professional and accommodating to work with. There was some bad information from another worker that met with us to show us the venue. She told us we could have a head table and that they would be able to bring the decorations, flowers, cake, and dessert with them. Upon finding out from Dan that this was not possible, we had to find someone quickly to fill that role. Otherwise, Dan gave so much excellent advise and was wonderful to work with. My wife and I attended a wedding reception of a neighbor's daughter a few years back at Hendri's. While the outside is unimpressive, once you step inside it is warm and inviting, attractive and comfortable.  The room is intimate and comfortable, the burning fireplace so homey. Dan was friendly and listened to our plans. He, his wife and his staff answered our questions, were open to our suggestions and were happy to do the little things we requested.The atmosphere is warm and somewhat intimate even with a crowd of 100. Lots of wood, with a black and white tiled floor and a fireplace. The lanterns on the table (supplied by Hendri's) added to the charm. We did minimal decorating, the room has so much character it really isn't necessary. We heard many of our guests comment on the quality of the food, one neighbor even saying it was the best food he had been served at a banquet. The desserts we had planned were so good they were gone before all our guests had the chance to get to the dessert table. Hendri's staff came out with additional desserts without us asking. My wife and I would understand if they had not, since it was just that some had more desserts than planned and Hendri's had not planned to add more desserts. We would highly recommend Hendri's. Hendri's is the kind of catering gig you dream of, seriously, when you're a party planner.Their company helped up throw an amazing "Back to School Party" for staff and faculty and everyone was relaxed, cheery and happily reconnecting after a long summer. This was in large part due to Dan/Maura and their outstanding staff AND their fantastic foodstuffs!The menu does not shy away from trying current or trendy flavor profiles but also has an arsenal (and I do mean arsenal) of tasty, comfy, time-tested foods both finger and plated.Unbelievably gorgeous and multiple flavors of Deviled Egg, crispy Adobe Beggar's Purse, Brie Quesadillas with fresh Mango, Satays, Chipotle BBQ Burger Bites (addictive), Sushi (Maki) Rolls, Hummus Boards, Spanakopitas with just the right seasoning and just the right crunch, and our absolute favorite was the Mini Roasted New Potatoes filled with the creamiest of Goat Cheeses (topped with or without Chives or Bacon).For me what is one of the biggest take-aways about Hendri's is the price point. St. Louis is weighed down with TOO many catering establishments that overcharge by two and three times what they should, holding their customers financially hostage while only offering tiny doll house food that can NEVER be served at the temperatures they ought. Hendri's takes the high road leaving them all behind and gives you all the gourmet you can handle without the gouge.We will happily and hungrily be employing Hendri's for our next party. Hendri's catered our wedding at another venue (not their venue). The food was absolutely fantastic! All of our guests were so impressed and I got many, many requests for the caterers' name. They were super helpful leading up to our big day, helping with room set-up and planning while staying within our budget. They set up everything just the way I wanted it for our reception, from table signs to escort cards and they worked with the bakery and florist to coordinate their deliveries as well. Let me first start off by saying the reason a chose this venue is because I had attended a wedding here that was fabulous. My Mom is also friends with a man who is friends with Dan so that also gave me more confidence that we would have a wonderful reception. My husband and I had a great time the night of our wedding. I opted to have open seating with a few reserved tables for parents and grandparents. Tables were clearly marked reserved. None of the brides family were at those tables. Not one person. My mom MOB was in the back of the room. When I realized this that night the Hendri's representative I was expecting to oversee our event was not there. So, the night continued. I later found out guests left hungry, and with no cake. I gave away almost the entire display cake (700.00) the next day which is very upsetting and frustrating. We had 160+ guests, the buffet was out for an hour which leaves 22.5 seconds for each guest to get through the line which is just not enough time. Especially considering there are elderly guest who do not move quickly. I really feel like our day was neglected. None of the staff said hello or that they would be taking care of us since the Hendri's representative was unable to be there. Bar service was excellent, food was delicious, Every detail was set up perfectly and taken down. I would recommend Hendri's based on others experiences and the previous wedding I attended. More...

Hendri's catered all the food for our wedding reception at the Sheldon Concert Hall and we were extremely happy with them. I can't tell you how many people came up to us and expressed how much they enjoyed the food and how delicious it was. We were so happy to find Hendri's! We just had our 9/20 wedding at Hendri's and everything was perfect! Dan and his team were easy to work with, very professional, and exuded a very calm, we-do-this-all-the-time-so-don't-worry presence. Dan and his team worked to accommodate all of my ideas and provided helpful suggestions throughout the planning process.

The venue itself is amazing - striking with it's dark wood decor, black/white dance floor, full wood bar, and beautiful fireplace. The food is prepared on-site and seemed to be completely customizable. Best yet - it was delicious. We got RAVE reviews over the food!

The staff was super helpful, friendly and polite. Everyone knew my name and my drink preference...and that wasn't just because I was the bride. This happened all night for most of our guests.
