To all of you visiting Maggie Valley, and even Asheville, make a stop to this gem. I got the 2 meat combo: beef brisket, which was perfectly tender with such good flavor, I only used a touch of sauce (strawberry chipotle. ..um, yes!). The ribs had a rub, and fell apart once I bit into them (just as they should). They were generous with sides, like Mac and cheese (so creamy!), and the coleslaw that is flavorful, without being overly wet or runny. Potato salad was a wonderful compliment to the smokey flavors. They have about 5 or more types of sauces, from NC sweet or vinegar, to jalapeño hot. All went down great with 2 glasses of local craft beer (sorry, can’t remember the name, but it was a Waynesville beer). Save room for dessert, because the bourbon chocolate pecan pie did not disappoint. Make sure someone else orders the banana pudding so they will share with you! Visiting the area from New Orleans and decided to try this place. The BEST PRIME RIB ever (only served at 5 pm till sold out). The sweet potato casserole was amazing, try the jalapeno apple bbq sauce with brisket. A place I will def keep at the top of my list of all time best BBQ. Out of towners!! What can I say. Best bbq ever. The pictures honestly don’t do this place any justice. The food was absolutely amazing. Wife had brisket and ribs. She raved about the meat and the Cole slaw. I had the brisket quesadilla and the collard greens. I will tell you I absolutely loved, loved, loved both. This is the second time I’ve been to a Haywood Smokehouse (visiting NC on vacation). They didn’t disappoint again! My husband is so so picky about his pulled pork and had their Fine Swine meal and LOVED it! ! I had a bite and it was delicious!! I had the brisket burger and it was great as well.
