It's a little inconspicuous but don't be fooled. The pork steak is fantastic, the empanadas will blow you away and the MOJITO flight is amazing!

Ok, so, I'm originally from Tampa, FL AND I'm Cuban! I go home about twice a year and that's when I'm able to enjoy my Cuban food, other than when I cook. I was told about this place a few days ago; the only Cuban restaurant in Arkansas. Obviously, I didn't even know we had ONE. I drove from Cabot, AR to Rogers, AR today (3 hours) just so I could try it. I was skeptical; because I've found it to be a joke to have "Cuban" food outside of Florida. Well, we had 2 appetizers to share; I had the Yuca Frita and my friend had the Camarones al Ajillo. Her appetizer, alone, was worth the 3-hour drive, y'all!! For an entre, I had the Pollo Havanero. Not the best fried chicken I've ever had, but still very good. She had the Taste of Cuba and loved the 3 main entres. The ONLY thing we had that wasn't good were the black beans, no flavor & watered down. If today's frijoles negros were representative of how they taste. I don't recommend getting them and they might want to even take them off the menu even though frijoles negros are like a Cuban staple, so that's a shame. This place was phenomenal, the atmosphere and service are amazing.  We ordered the Arroz con pollo, and the Vaca Frita.  They where so good, the rice is cooked perfectly as well as the flavor of both dishes are so pleasant and refreshing.  We will def be back.

Was delighted to find a Cuban restaurant so close to home and decided to give it a try. Had dinner on Wednesday night and was so impressed with everything. Great Cuban Churrasco and Pollo Mojo, good mojitos and excellent service! I can easily say it was the best Cuban I've had outside of Florida.However, I decided to go back the next day and get a Cuban sandwich to go for lunch and was so disappointed with it. The sandwich was $16 which is a pricey lunch, but the biggest issue was it took 45min to get to me. The ingredients should all be prepared, so all they had to do was assemble and griddle it. During those 45min the staff never offered an explanation or apology.I love this place, but that lunch experience has tainted what would've been a perfect place. More...

Hype is evident regarding Havana & they have loyal clients in amass to prove it!  Two lovely classic cars are poised outside & the sign is bright & current state invites patio guests as a large seating area is out front with Roman style shades in front to shield sun, but, could use umbrellas for shading.  We sat on the cute patio & were politely acknowledged as being present;  as it is seat yourself & it was 20 minutes from seating until water was provided & drink orders were taken...  Server was sunshine & out of breath so I truly know he was legit & apologized stating they were short staffed.    Mojito flights & drinks followed swiftly & were spectacular with fresh juice, mint, lime, muddled meticulously & refreshing with perfect ratios to peak premium taste!  Conversation was afire and lacked no lull but, 1 hour 15 min later, we were @ on alert & no service in between....  Then 5 minutes later the food arrived & is just sooooooo delectable & truly distinctive that you almost want to forgive the wait...  The sticky rice mounds are something which showcases the essence of one of many intricate delicacies of their cuisine! My dish was accompanied by large marinated pork cubes, battered & fried golden brown, plantains with similar batter & fry.  Nothing is spicy but perfectly seasoned & I could be wrong as I want to wield respect for different cultures' perspective of crafting centuries old cuisine but, I yearned for a sauce.  Probably just me?!!!  Anyway, food is everything ppl describe & then some & if your looking for a job..... Kind of pricey but good flavors that we don't get everyday.  I love places that know how to season the food!  E. is really picky and he LOVED the arroz con pollo.  I would like to try the mojitos so I think it's worth another trip.  Here's what we got:Tamales:  Different than Mexican tamales in that they use fresh corn, grind it and then mix the meat with the corn.  Softer than expected with a great flavor.  Arroz con pollo: really flavorful and larger portion than expected.  We actually made  to-go boxes for both my aunt and my mom to try.  The salad was good with the dressing and I enjoyed the plantains.  Black beans were meh.  Pollo al Mojo:  Good flavor, but overcooked and dry.  The onions had a really interesting seasoning too.  This would be safe for a picky eater.Cuban toast:  Strange.  It tasted like smashed hotdog buns. After scoping out the reviews and seeing they had some vegetarian selections, we headed over here for dinner.  Good layout, very friendly staff, and an overall good vibe. I had the veggie Cuban with the tostones and a pretty decent IPA.The Cuban was spot on. Well toasted bread, really good veggies and a sauce that had kind of a hint of course mustard. Very welcoming staff. They were able to set up our table for 7 quickly. Our waiter, Christian, was amazing. He was very attentive with refilling our drinks, patient with explaining the menu, and giving good recommendations. The plates seemed like smaller portions, but it was fully packed with flavor. The quality is definitely there. I recommend the mofongo with vaca Frita or the vaca frita that comes with white rice and black beans with plátano maduro. Since making an appearance on the Yelp Top 100, I immediately had to prioritize visiting Havana Tropical Grill, and I will say that it was worth the hype. First, you have to understand that this restaurant is located inside of what appears to be a little retro building in Rogers, but as soon as you step inside you're not in Ar-Kansas anymore. From the decor to the music to the food, you are transported to a different little world of Cuba. We opted to sit inside, but the patio was hoppin' because it was such a nice day.We waited a few minutes to be helped, but we're honestly enjoying the atmosphere so much that we didn't mind. They have a ton of mojito options and other "Havana favorite drinks" that I'll have to go back and try.We first got the Cuban sampler which was the perfect way to get a taste of each appetizer item so that we know what everything on the menu means/tastes like. We liked pretty much every item and we're glad to try it all (and the sauces). The fried plantains are different than the plantain chips and guacamole, so I'll have to try the chips next time.For dinner, we got Arroz Con Pollo and a Cuban bistec (steak) sandwich. Both were very large portions and we took home about half of both. The Arroz con Pollo was my favorite with all of the flavor of the rice and chicken and peppers (AND it came with some additional fried plantains and an avocado salad which is made of greens, avocado and sauce). I was VERY full upon leaving.Such an exciting and cute restaurant right by downtown Rogers. You all, I can't even!! If anyone ever needed an intervention for a restaurant addiction, it is me with Havana Tropical Grill. You can take the girl out of Miami, but you cannot take the Miami out of the girl. Back home Colombian and Cuban food were staples. I found Havana Tropical Grill and I just can't stop. First of all, did you see they made it on the Yelp's Top 100 places to eat in the USA for 2021? Uhhhh deservedly so, ammirght?!We don't need menus. The servers know our order ahead of time, and the service is always on point.You enter and just close your eyes and imagine you're whisked away for a meal to a small, tropical island in the ocean.Mango mojito? Yes please! Muddle that mint - and oh do they know how to muddle!Ceviche? Saturdays and Sundays, you know that's gonna be my order. That lime, cilantro and avocado. HOW in the world do they balance the flavors so perfectly, and can I have the recipe? Served with plantain chips? A side of vegetarian black beans and white rice. Havana, you make me cheat on Paleo, but I don't care. If cheating is wrong, I don't wanna be right! Oh - bring me those maduros so I can chop 'em up and mix up with the frijoles negroes con arroz. This is the stuff dreams are made of, kids!Hubs always gets the arroz con pollo - no peppers, no onions. That's right. He loves it.Went in today. This is a really cool little spot in downtown Rogers. I have tried Cuban food on a few occasions and have never been a big fan but wanted to support this local restaurant. The service is excellent and the menu has great options. I went with the Shank Steak I believe it was called.
