My cousin just recently purchased an old house in Palo Alto and asked for my help in finding a contractor to upgrade the kitchen and bathroom. I called a few contractors I found online and was also recommended GoodFellas by a friend. GoodFellas were very responsive and professional, so we scheduled a time for them to come out to the house. I was on FaceTime with the guys and my cousin the whole time, and he walked us through the work that needed to be done, and gave us a ballpark of the prices we were to expect. Then a few days later, he sent us a quote with a breakdown of the items. He mentioned that they guarantee their work, which made us feel comfortable with selecting them for the job. Currently, we are in the second week of work, and the cabinets have been totally replaced, and the kitchen looks like a completely different place. My mom recently got her entire home redone by goodfellas so after I moved into my home I decided to use them as well for my entire home since I had a lot of work to do. They were able to give me an excellent price especially since my mom already got her work done with them. After reviewing my top 3 bids I decided to go with goodfellas which my co worker had gotten work done and I was able to see the craftsmanship which was wonderful. They were able to do 2 bedrooms, 1 small side bathroom and a partial kitchen exactly how I wanted it and they even finished a day earlier then the contract stated. Their offer was just more serious than from other contractors for my basement remodel. For me lowest price is not most important but the quality of work is priority and Goodfellas provided that. My wife wanted a new kitchen look and I also agreed with her and wished some modern kitchen so I called some companies to send me offers for kitchen remodeling. Goodrellas Construction gave us the most serious offer with very interesting project and acceptable price so we made a deal. They were also available soon after we sign a contract and that was very important to us.

Working with Shelly and her team on our home renovation project has been very good. She must have a thing for helping pregnant families because I was due with my second 2 son a few months after we started the job. The work started mid-March and once the rain stopped the addition to our house really started to take shape. Her foreman and his team worked quickly and efficiently. Any questions I had were answered and she was always available via phone or email. Now that we are in the final stretch of our whole house remodel I am starting to see the finishes come in. Our tile work was done by Miguel and it looks beautiful. It's very professionally done and I am so excited to show it off. The paint is also on the walls and even though Shelly didn't like my colors, I love the way it turned out. Sometimes you can just tell when things are done well. My biggest advice would be to ask a lot of questions. My husband and I went into this with no construction experience so we didn't ask in-depth questions on what was being covered and what wasn't. Don't be afraid to look dumb, Shelly will help clarify anything you are confused about. If you are looking for a great framer and someone who has a lot of connections to get the "finishes" done you are in the right spot. More...
