Dom was our DJ from Good Mood for our wedding in San Clemente, and we highly recommend him! From the very beginning, he was extremely informative and helped guide us through the process by holding an introductory phone call. After the call, we were immediately sold!We had curated playlists for each portion of our wedding including Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Dinner, and Reception, shared them through Spotify, and he had included all the songs we wanted, mixing them to be even better than what we imagined! We had some classics, international beats, 90's throwbacks, R&B, Disney songs, and hip hop/trap incorporated throughout the night and all our guests raved about our music! The most unique factor of Good Mood is the fact that they want to tailor the music to ALL of your wedding guests. Yes, you can have a LIT wedding with dance music, but Dom wanted to make sure that our parents, aunts/uncles, and even grandparents were part of the action too. And... they really all did dance on our wedding night! He started the reception night with a group photo and kicked off the dancing portion of the night with classics so that everyone could join in on the dance floor. By the end of the night, all the dirty hip hop (censored, of course) and dancing music were reserved for our friends who stayed until the very end. Dom was amazing to work with! He works with you to create the perfect custom playlist that all guest will enjoy. For those looking for more guidance on music selection, he has playlists of all genres to assist with the process. I have been to many weddings where the DJ just runs through a pre-set playlist with little effort. Not Dom! Dom mixes the music like a true professional and plays to the crowd at all times. Dom was amazing from the first phone call through the final song at our wedding.  He took time to understand us and our music preferences beforehand, and it was great to see that he builds a relationship of communication and back-and-forth exchange of playlists.  By the final weeks before our wedding, we were at the point that we'd simply send him a few songs in a playlist or tell him we'd like a section of the day built around a specific song and could trust that he "got it."  He was so organized and helpful during our last phone call that it truly calmed us down and got us excited for the wedding day.  Day of, he was punctual, friendly, dressed appropriately, and absolutely NAILED the music from pre-ceremony to the dance party.  So many guests came up to us at the reception (and continue to email us) to praise his song selection (which were both in line with our previous discussion and being chosen on the fly) and we couldn't be happier. I don't know where to even begin with how amazing my experience with Good Mood was from start to end. My wedding coordinator recommended Dom and after talking to him on the phone I felt confident that he would be the perfect DJ for our wedding. Of all the vendors I worked with, he was without a doubt my favorite. Dom was extremely responsive via email, professional, personable, so sweet and comforting whenever I got nervous about what kind of music to play at my wedding. I was very particular about what music I wanted because my family is persian and I wanted to be able to do a mix of persian/american music. Dom KILLED it. After making my "inspiration" playlists he was able to determine exactly what kind of music I wanted and kept the dance floor packed all night. Not only is he an awesome and talented DJ, but he is also a great person. He constantly made me feel comfortable throughout the year long process and reassured me that everything will go perfectly which it did. My wife and I had a wedding reception in June and were lucky enough to have DJ Wes from Good Mood create the perfect vibe and atmosphere for our event.  We actually met Wes for the first time at our friends' wedding in 2018, and he did such a great job we knew we would need to hire him for ours. Wes was extremely communicative throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding. He routinely responded to emails within an hour of us sending them. We met for a preliminary meeting a few months before our event, so we could talk about our musical tastes and the soundtrack for the party.  We were a bit all over the place, and my wife and I have very different tastes in music, but the whole time Wes kept us focused and organized. He encouraged us to come up with a list of songs we wanted to hear (and a list of song/artists we didn't want played), and effortlessly created a setlist and flow that made sense throughout our big night (e.g., chiller music during cocktail hour and dinner, up-tempo and dancing music when it was time to get our party rocking).  And as we got closer to our event, Wes continued to followed up with us to keep us on track, and made himself available to meet in person or discuss any questions over the phone.Good Mood has extensive Spotify playlists that helped us pick songs for certain events during our night. Don't know which song to use for your grand entrance? They have a list of suggestions for that. Don't know which song to use for your cake cut? They have a list for that too. Bouquet toss, garter toss, first dance, last song of the night. All of the above - you can look at their recommendations if you ever feel lost. And if you wanted to ignore those recommendations and pick something completely different, they were 100% accommodating.Our reception was at a hotel rooftop in West Hollywood. Due to noise ordinances, music can't be played outdoors past 11 pm. Wes came prepared with a second system so once the ordinance kicked in, the party simply moved downstairs to the penthouse and kept going for another two hours.Wes was willing to switch things on the fly. Last minute, we wanted to do the Hava Nagila and dance the horah. Wes had it playing within 5 minutes of our request. I wanted to end the night serenading my bride with a rendition of What's New Pussycat - Wes handed me the mic and laid down the track. We are so grateful to have had Good Mood be a part of our night. Wes of Good Mood DJ'ed our wedding in May and was truly THE BEST!!! Not only is he the nicest person ever, but he is super professional. He is communicative, understanding, and organized, which made working with him one of the best parts of wedding planning!On the day of, Wes really delivered everything we wanted in our wedding music. His process is very thorough and collaborative, which assured us that he truly understood our taste and personalities. He took note of all the important songs (and the "do not play" list!) and fused in ones we didn't even know we needed. Dom from Good Mood DJs was an AMAZING wedding DJ to work with as well as an all around great guy. He made the entire music planning process extremely easy so it was one less thing for my husband and I to worry about. He was always reachable and every conversation felt like talking with a friend. He really understood our eclectic taste and the vibe we wanted to have. During the wedding reception, Dom proved he is extremely talented in how he transitions from one song into the next to make everything very fluid. He was genuine and professional with the emotional moments of the event, but also created an extremely fun atmosphere with the open dancing segment of the night. I cannot thank Dominic enough for being so awesome at our wedding!!! So glad my wedding planner recommended Good Mood because it was probably the best decision I've made. He had the dance floor packed the entire night, and apparently multiple guests have told me days later that people who don't normally dance or claim they don't know how to dance (this includes my mother in law) were out on the dance floor!! From the very beginning Dominic was very attentive and totally knew what vibe or music to play based on the playlist we came up with and he did an amazing job filling in the blanks for us. My husband and I had the opportunity to see Wes in action at a close friend's wedding a few years back, and we were immediately impressed by his professionalism, lack of cheesiness (no chicken dance? hallelujah!), and the skillful way in which he was able to read the room for just the right mix of vibes.  ...We knew instantly that he was the DJ we needed for our own wedding a few years later!Wes is exactly what every bride or groom hopes for in a DJ-- he is, as I said before, incredibly sweet and professional and takes the quality and effort of his work very seriously.  He sincerely wants to do his best for you and for your guests and will work with you in the planning process to make that as smooth and successful a venture as possible.  He is also very easy to communicate with and prefers to meet in person at least twice before your event, if possible, so as to get a feel for who you are and the atmosphere that you hope to create.  For us, this was very helpful; we were able to freely ask questions and collaborate on the ideas we had well in advance of the day of the wedding, so there were no surprises or last minute changes to cause us anxiety...  Instead, we had the peace of mind that comes with knowing you're working with someone who is organized and who truly knows his craft.  Ultimately, Wes somehow found the balance between my husband's indie/alternative preferences (he's a total music snob) and my own top-40 and 90s/2000s throwback aesthetic...  And made it all flow together beautifully!  Our dance floor was consistently PACKED all night, and so many of our guests (of all ages and backgrounds, mind you) complimented us on finding him.  Wes is amazing, and my husband and I would recommend him a million times over if we could! Working with Wes was a total dream! He took the time to explain his process, he had worksheets and online tools ready to help us pick music for our wedding, and he made the whole process easy and fun! Right from the get go, I could tell he knew what he was doing and we were in capable (talented!) hands. I've worked with Wes a couple times in the past (for work events) and did not hesitate to reach out to him to DJ my husband and my wedding day and I'm glad I did! Working with Wes this time around on a more personal level (rather than for corporate functions) was wonderful. A friend of ours had hired Dom, loved him, and recommended Good Mood to us when we told them we were getting married. After listening to the mixes on the website, and seeing some of their reviews, we reached out to get pricing and more info. We had a Skype meeting with Dom the day after emailing and he was so cool and easy to talk to, he immediately put us at ease. And after speaking with him about music we knew we had found our DJ! Dom knew exactly what he was doing every time we talked or asked him questions. He is a pro. He was highly organized throughout the planning process and was always quick to respond to our emails - like the next day quick. Whenever we had questions about music or needed to know if our ideas made any sense at all, he was always there with some perspective, and helped point us in the right direction.When it was time to dance we were expecting a fun party, I mean that's why we hired Dom. But our expectations were exceeded over and over, again and again!! I've never, ever, been to a wedding where the DJ put the music together like Dom did. I know there's a lot of great reviews for Good Mood but I truly have to say that DJ Wes made our wedding an absolute home run. We got married at an outdoor/indoor venue in East Hollywood in late September and Wes was involved not only during the reception but also provided music for an early cocktail hour, a late cocktail hour, and during the ceremony. He catalyzed one of the most packed dance floors I have ever seen. More than just an amazing DJ with an endless library of great popular and more obscure music, Wes worked with us every step of the way (both on skype and on the phone) to organize the timeline down to the minute so that everything flowed perfectly.  The day of our wedding was absolutely perfect. Not only was Wes well prepared, but he arrived early to get set up and prep us specifically on the placement and use of the mics, etc. - he made sure everything would run smoothly. We were wow'd at his ability to create and maintain the right tone at every moment of our wedding.  It's nearly impossible to find a DJ who truly knows how to read a crowd and keep them dancing but it's even harder to find a true professional in handling the stress and timing of a wedding ceremony with ease. Wes was able to comfortably navigate that and so much more - taking the lead whenever it was needed. He was right on-time for every meeting, followed through on every promise, executed everything he said he was going to do and more!!!  Wes understood how important music was to my husband and I immediately. We loved working with DJ Dominic for our recent wedding.  He was an absolute pleasure to work with and did an amazing job! Dom was great to work with. We switched wedding planners half way through and he handled the transition like a pro, catching up the new planner and transferring contracts and whatnot. I think these guys could handle anything you throw their way.The process is super organized and allows you to be as involved as you want. You can pick every single song if you'd like, or pick a few for them to work off of. If music is really important for you (it was for us), it can be difficult to let go and trust they'll pick the right stuff, even if you provide guidance! But Dom did a great job reading the room and playing the right stuff.One of my favorite things was that you can put together a "do not play" list of songs for them, well... not to play (I swear, if I go to one more wedding featuring "Marry me" by train...)Dom is also really fun and flexible. My husband and I have a kind of odd sense of humor and thought it would be really funny to tell the wedding party they'd be walking in to one song, but then switch it to cotton eyed joe half way through. I would give Good Mood 10 stars if I could!! Dominic DJ'ed my sisters wedding 2 years ago, and after my now-husband proposed we started planning our wedding. Right away I knew exactly who I wanted for our DJ. We reached out to Dom and agreed on a time to talk. He was just as professional, easy going, and knowledgeable as my sister had said, and he made us feel comfortable and at ease about the music. We knew we were in good hands from the start and felt like Dom was one of the few vendors we didn't have to worry about. With our busy schedules and with the rest of the wedding planning, this ended up being very important. During our first meeting he walked us through the collaborative process of selecting the music, and even had great suggestions for what would work well for each part of the day. At our next meeting, we gave him a few artists and suggestions we liked, and Dom worked his magic from there!The day of the wedding went absolutely perfect! The ceremony music was exactly what we had planned and everything went right on cue. I felt super particular about the music for our wedding day, so it was my job to look into getting either a band or a DJ. Not completely feeling the hefty price tag that comes with hiring a full band, we opted for a DJ and it was 100% the right decision !Let me preface this by saying that I've already been to multiple weddings this year, and I can say with complete confidence that our wedding had the best music by far!!! Dom completely exceeded our expectations and was so attentive to our dance floor. The songs never played too long and he was always switching things up to keep everyone dancing. It's hard to find good people when it comes to planning a wedding, but Wes of Good Mood is the real deal. Wes came highly recommended by our wedding planner, who had generally recommended a few DJ companies and then specifically highlighted Wes as someone that she absolutely loves working with.  We reached out to Wes and the rest is history! Dom had an incredible way of knowing what we wanted even when we couldn't articulate it. Planning our wedding with him was stress-free and fun. In making our musical choices for our wedding, Dom gave us helpful suggestions and pointed us in the right direction but was also responsive to our preferences and choices. We worked with Wes after seeing him at our friend's wedding. He was amazing from start to finish. My wife and I are pretty relaxed about most details until you get just below the surface where I'm a control freak and she's a worrier. I don't know if he recognized that right away or not but he did an amazing job of reassuring us along the way.The day could not have been more perfect, I'd go so far to say that the entire process from selecting Wes all the way through the very last song was...I mean, saying "perfect" has almost been cheapened by online reviews but I couldn't possibly think of one single complaint. We love to dance and our wedding was during a heat wave so it was tough to get people on the dance floor, but once they were out there, Wes kept them out there. His music selection was exactly what we had discussed. I will say this, and it's very important to me, he was a total pro on the mic too. I've seen this done poorly countless, countless times, but not with Good Mood. He said what he needed to say, he didn't go overboard, nor did he undersell anything. He got us the mic and sound system we needed so that everyone at our wedding heard every word of the ceremony including our vows.I know that everyone has heard other people say "my wedding was the best night of my life," and I'm now one of those people. DJ Wes from Goodmood DJ'd our wedding earlier this month and he was absolutely brilliant! My wife and I have lots of musical tastes from many genres & decades, Wes was on point the whole time. Throughout the cocktail hour he blended really great jazz and modern tunes and seamlessly matched every song into dinner and finally on to the dance floor, where he really worked his magic. We had an incredibly memorable time thanks to Wes, he really set the mood and kept it going strong till the end. He made our night magical, but it was simply the result of a professional taking his craft seriously. He prepared with us extensively and not once kept us in the dark. I would have been so embarrassed to hear the Chicken Dance at our wedding. GoodMood came highly recommended by my wedding planner and the entire process - from our first phone conversation to the wedding night - was lovely! We live a few hours from LA so our planning was all via Skype and phone. We actually met Wes for the first time on the day of the wedding! This was not an issue at all. Wes was organized and super helpful during our planning calls.Like most of the couples have already said, my husband and I considered music a very important aspect of our wedding. We wanted guests of all ages to enjoy themselves on the dance floor - and that's exactly what we got. My mother was dancing to MJ and Bruno. DJ Dom was amazing at our wedding this weekend!!! We spent just one or two quick meetings to give him some sample songs to work with and talked a bit about the music we like and he created the perfect energy for the party the entire night. He was super professional and also helped in a small role as MC for us as a courtesy which he handled very well. We knew Dom was the best wedding DJ when we attended a friend's wedding over a year ago, and he confirmed it again at our wedding this past weekend.  He helped us with everything from the pre-ceremony music to the last song of the night and created our perfect wedding ambiance.  It's so hard to find a DJ that can cater to the entire wedding, especially during the dancing, but Dom kept the dance floor packed the whole night with dancers of all ages.  Not only was the music everything we could have asked for, but Dom has a great presence on the mic and helped guide the wedding along seamlessly.  On top of all of this and most importantly, Dom was always quick to respond via email/phone/Facetime, kept us on track during the planning process, and worked with our venue and planner as necessary.  We are so glad he was a part of our day! DJ Dom from Good Mood was really awesome to work with for our wedding. Admittedly, my wife and I fell behind in our wedding planning, but DJ Dom was patient with us as we came up with a solid gameplan/music setlist just 1-2wks prior to the actual date of the event. In addition to being super friendly and easy to work with, DJ Dom is very professional and most importantly for us, he was very flexible and willing to play the kind of music we asked him to play. So if you know what kind of party you want to have, and what kind of music you want to play, DJ Dom will work diligently with you and accommodate you. Surprisingly, we heard not all DJs are willing to do that!On top of it all, DJ Dom is just a good dude. My wife and I got the sense that he genuinely cared to put on a good show for us and our guests. He never came on too strong with his recommendations, but he also had some good suggestions when we needed them. You could just tell that he knew our wedding day was a very important day for us and that he was willing to work with us in making sure that we threw a good party for our guests. Dj Wes from Goodmood is THE BEST! When my wife and I got engaged we were a little hesitant to reach out to a DJ because we had no idea how to hire one or what to ask, and the idea of planning a wedding was already intimidating. But from our first phone call to our wedding day Wes was professional, easy to collaborate with, helpful with options when we needed them, and was totally open to all of our ideas. Being able to have a good relationship with our vendors was really important for us, and with Wes it turned into a bromance for me and my wife! He instantly grasped the vibe we were going for and our musical tastes without us having to give him a really a long list or explain things too much. He really cared about getting all the details right, and he spent time working with us on our event songs and found ingenious ways to fit in our more unusual requests, including a university fight song from my wife's alma mater, which was an awesome moment on the dance floor! And if you've read the other GoodMood reviews about Wes they're exactly right! The dance party was amazing. He knew exactly what to play and he mixed in all the music we wanted and none of the stuff we didn't (yes I'm looking at you "YMCA"). We gave him a short list of our favorite dance songs and he ran with it. My parents danced, my little cousins danced, and all of our friends we're out there sweating late into the night! He kept everyone on their feet having a great time the whole night. Having a DJ like Wes spin a dance party that had so many of the songs we love was the more than we could have hoped for! We got compliments all night about the music, and we were so happy that everyone danced so much!It means a lot to have someone really care about getting it all right on your big day, and that was exactly what Wes did. He's a super good guy, amazing at what he does, and I could not be happier that we hired him. Wes is the best. In the lead-up to the wedding, Wes was super easy to work with and helped us along in creating playlists that would serve as guides for our events. In addition to our input, Wes also had a lot of great ideas and recommendations that we would never have thought of.On the day of, Wes got set up and going very smoothly. The music was well attended to and he would make great adjustments to the music based on the vibe of the guests.In the end, he had our guests up and dancing until we closed the place down. We are so incredibly grateful to have had Dom DJ our wedding. We were a little behind on our planning and were thrilled he was still available, even with our date only a few months out. We are super busy with work and our kids, and as anyone who is in the middle of planning a wedding can attest to, it can be a full time job! He made the whole process super easy for us. We used Spotify to build a few small playlists for him, and from there he worked his magic! Everything sounded exactly the way we wanted, and how we wanted it to feel, and without a whole lot of work. Both Jenny and I were extremely pleased that we could be a bit 'hands off' givin our schedules. On the day of, Dom was very on top of everything, working closely with our coordinator to make sure the day ran smoothly. His announcements were spot on - he was never over enthusiastic nor was he underwhelming. It was very balanced and approachable in my opinion.After dinner was said and done, and dancing finally began, we were completely blown away by the outcome! Dom did an incredible job of keeping all of our friends and family on the floor, which I can assume is no easy task. Believe me when I say, it's quite a feeling when you see your grandma and your wedding party all getting down at the same time! I kept getting compliments the whole night about the DJ. "Where did you find him?" and "Wow, I never knew a DJ was so important at a wedding." Choosing DJ Wes from Good Mood was one of the best decisions we could have made. He was perfect. PDuring the planning process he was professional, easy to talk to, and organized. And when it came to the actual day of our wedding, he exceeded our expectations!We reached out to Good Mood after they were recommended by our photographer and right away we were impressed by Wes's professionalism and ability to communicate. By the end of our first meeting we knew he was the perfect fit. We hired him for our Palm Springs wedding, and when the day came he showed up on time and had all the equipment set up (in 3 different areas) before any of our guests arrived. The sound at each area was great and the music was incredible! Not just for dancing, but for every part of the day. We were taking pictures away from the guests during the cocktail hour, and we could hear Wes's music playing and were kept saying, "Ahhhh, I want to grab a drink and get back to this party!" Wes absolutely nailed the soundtrack and we got compliments on the music during the entire wedding!Now, for dancing I consider myself to be an addict for current music - I love Indie Vibes and Hip-Hop - but I knew going in that my tastes might not work with the older crowd. This was a concern because we wanted to make sure my parents and their friends could enjoy the dance party as well. Wes took care of it. Literally from the time dancing began to the last song of the night, the floor was packed! Wes found the perfect balance, with great older stuff when more parents were dancing and perfect Indie and Hip-Hop tracks when things got more "party", and he did it at just the right moments. He also did't jump around randomly between songs like I've heard DJ's do before (please don't play "turn down for what" followed by "sweet caroline"), he mixed songs that fit together and included tons of music from our list, and that was really important to us.
