Cool bar to hang out at, it would be my home bar if I lived out there. I go there every time I'm in town. BBQ is as good as I've ever had and I'm a bit of a snob. Staff is always very friendly.

Great barbecue place. Best I've been to so far. For appetizers we got the wings and the ABTs (a twist on jalapeño poppers) and the ABTS were amazing, the wings were great but the ABTs were definitely unique and a must get.
The burnt ends grilled cheese is a must as well. We also ordered the pulled chicken, grits, mashed potatoes, waffle fries, and mac and cheese and they were all delicious. We then got the banana pudding and we were deciding between that and the chocolate peanut butter pie (because chocolate peanut butter anything and I'm sold) but the banana pudding was THAT good. It was the best I've had hand down.
If you haven't gone here you should. I wish we weren't just visiting the area and we had one near us in Florida.

Easily the best BBQ in DC. I have been to this place numerous amounts of times trying something different each time. My all time favorite if the Belly Buster as it has the best of all worlds and can be shared. One of my favorite things about Petes is the brisket and the homemade sauces. We stopped last night after the Zoo Lights.......Everyone must have had the same idea as it was PACKED. The place smelled great as we walked in. I had the sliced brisket -- the flavor was good, but it was still a little tougher than I like. The BBQ Beans were thick and very tasty. My girlfriend had the pulled pork and that was good as well. The sauces they have on the table are a little thin for my taste, but had good flavor. All in all......great flavor and smoke on the meat. We would go there again. More...

Server was awesome and very friendly. Chopped brisket, greens and corn bread was awesome. Sweet tea was to die for. If I lived closer than 2 hours away I'd be broke from eating here almost every night.

We've loved Cleveland Park Bar & Grill for years, and were so excited to hear that the owners were opening Fat Pete's. We went last night and it didn't disappoint!
The brisket was amazing, as were the ribs, fried green tomatoes, and ABT's (appropriately described on the menu as "BBQ crack"). The corn bread was maybe the best we've ever had, including in Austin and Nashville. All of the homemade sauces were fantastic, especially the Alabama White and the Carolina Mustard. Can't wait to make it through the rest of the menu and the awesome beer list!
Looking forward to our next meal and to hearing some live music. We'll definitely be back soon. Great job Jeff and team!

Fat Pete's is a down home country bar. They put the hospitality in southern hospitality. Our bartender Joe was a social butterfly and just full of witty commentary the entire night. He was one of the best parts about me and my wife's experience at Fat Pete's. Their BBQ is amazing. I am a Kansas City man and we take our BBQ very seriously in the home of the Chiefs. My wife ordered the burnt end grilled cheese with the hush puppies as her side. I had the pulled chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese on the side. The food was phenomenal. The head chef Hundo really knows how to smoke some meat. Will definitely be back!!!!!! More...
