Carla is amazing! I hired her and her team to do my hair as well as hair for 7 others on my wedding day. I actually found her on the Knot, and based on all of the positive reviews decided to go with her even before we scheduled a hair trial. A month before the wedding, I got together with Carla for a trial, not knowing at all what hair style would work for me, and she was extremely patient and walked me through all the different styles I was considering. She was super thoughtful and took a lot of notes and pictures throughout the afternoon. On the day of the wedding, she arrived right on schedule with two assistants, and for the next six hours they worked nonstop to make sure everyone looked and felt their best before the ceremony. Carla was amazing to work with! From the first message I sent to her, I knew her and her awesome assistant Erin were very professional and responsive, because they sent such a detailed reply and were quick to answer any and all questions I had. During our trial, Carla was very patient with me and showed me hair and makeup options, which helped me decide on what style I wanted for my big day. On the big day, Carla was on time (definitely a plus!!) and was very patient with all 8 of us girls that were getting ready! Her and her assistant made all of us look absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I worked with Carla for my wedding in September and am so glad I found her! I was particular with my hair and makeup not because I wanted a fancy and rare style but because I only wanted very subtle changes from my regular style. Due to this reason, I went to see Carla for two separate trial sessions but she was so patient and helped me find out what that subtlety I was looking for my wedding day. She was also extremely professional - she stayed longer than what she was supposed to just because she was able to so we could do a touch-up for the cocktail hours. Carla was fabulous! From the first message I sent her, she was detailed, thorough and so helpful. I really didn't have a great sense of what I wanted for my wedding hair/makeup but she was very patient with me at our trial and showed me options I hadn't even thought to consider. There were some in-process changes over who in the wedding party was getting their hair and makeup done, but Carla was flexible and helpful throughout. On the wedding morning, she was prompt and ready to go, despite the fact not all of my people were likewise. I loved my hair and makeup and my friends and family loved what she did for them. Carla went above and beyond the whole day. She even offered a makeup touch-up to a wedding party member who'd previously and adamantly declined professional services, which really meant a lot to me. Carla came with us from the hotel to the venue and helped keep everything looking fresh and beautiful in the August heat. And throughout the day, as I dealt with family drama and nerves Carla was always there with a kind word or reassurance. And she laughed at all of my jokes! I've known Carla for years so when I got engaged I knew exactly who was going to do my hair and make up for my wedding day. Carla and her team are the calm you need in an often hectic bridal suite. She took the time to make sure me and my entire bride tribe including our moms and flower girl looked their absolute best. The weather on my day was perfect (though a little hot in the sun). Carla was right there with an umbrella to shield my sensitive skin from the rays. She thinks of everything!!! THIS LADY IS NUTS!!! Straight baller right here. Got our hair and make up down as a bridesmaid for my beautiful friends black tie wedding. Carla was so sweet, very calm (as we were running about an hour and behalf behind due to us arriving at the venue later than planned --- not by any means her fault!) yet super funny and helped make sure we all looked fabulous and managed to get everything done on TIME!!! She set a very good vibe for us while we were getting ready and it was just the perfect day to remember. My hair looked boss and so did my make up. Carla did any amazing job with both hair and makeup for my wedding day in June. She has such a calming and positive attitude that really set the tone for the entire day. She carefully listened to everyone's preferences and looked at inspiration pictures to get an idea of what each person was envisioning for their look. I can't recommend Carla enough! She did hair and make-up at a wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. I loved how I looked so much, that I hired her for my own wedding! Obviously on your wedding day people say you look good, but I can't tell you how many compliments I got at my friend's wedding. It also made it super easy for my own wedding to just hire "one company" to do both hair and make-up. I'm not very girly or into wearing a lot of make-up, but Carla listened to what I wanted and helped to keep everything very simplistic while still making me look amazing and glam. She also came to my venue during pictures because it was extremely hot that day and everyone was sweating! Carla is fantastic! I was lucky to meet her in the year leading up to my wedding. At first it looked like she might not be available for my wedding date, but she did a makeup/hair trial for me anyway. Fortunately, her calendar cleared up for the weekend of my wedding and I was able to hire her to do my makeup and the hair and makeup of my bridal party. My makeup looked amazing and I felt so beautiful. She had a fantastic report with my 5-year-old niece, who doesn't often sit still. My wedding was August 2018 and I hired Carla to do hair for my bridal party, as well as make up for my mom. I came to her home for a trial, and I immediately felt welcomed and relaxed. She was a great listener and very honest when she shared her thoughts on the look I wanted! I could tell she cared a lot about her clients feeling comfortable, and I really appreciated that. I had a large bridal party (she had to style 6 girls including me) and an early ceremony to get to, but she was great at easing my stress and letting me know exactly how much time she'd need for each girl. Everyone's hair turned out beautiful and simple (just how we wanted it), and my mom's make up was perfect. Carla is extraordinary! I hired her for my early September wedding to prepare me, my bridesmaids and a few family members. First, I'll say that she is a lovely person - starting at the trial, she was just really wonderful to get to know - interesting and interested in the world. Second, her hair and makeup skills are amazing. I wasn't totally sure what I wanted, but she worked with me to find the style that I loved. She also made recommendations that were really great! Everyone that got their hair and make-up done with her loved the outcome. Third, she is also easy to work with - she's punctual, responsive and is able to manage the getting ready process smoothly. My daughter talked me into this. I am a 67 year old artist who has her my own sense of style, very little interest in fashion trends and marches to her own drummer. I wear almost no makeup and wear my hair gray and natural. As I have gotten older I have started to feel kind of faded and washed out. I started observing how great some of my friends looked who knew how to apply their makeup in subtle ways that looked natural. Everyone commented at the wedding on how gorgeous the bridesmaids, MOB and me looked thanks to her! You are in such good hands with Carla! Carla and her lovely assistant did hair and makeup for five bridesmaids, two moms, and the bride and got everybody ready to go right on time - even when we added two additional services to our original order. The makeup and hair was exactly what we had discussed, a soft, romantic look that wasn't too fussy. But here's where she really went above and beyond - to all my brides, add the additional touch-up period. Carla stayed about an hour after the ceremony to make sure hair and makeup was perfect for all of the photos and for cocktail hour. She also helped make sure my dress looked perfect, held champagne glasses, and was a super calming presence when I needed one. Worked with Carla Pressley as part of a modeling portfolio shoot with photographer, Tim Coburn. Tim and Carla took time to understand what we were looking for in the session, they selected outfits from the many that we brought, Carla worked her magic with hair and make-up - making sure that my 16 year old daughter still looked 16, but a very glamourous and put together 16. Carla did my makeup application for my first formal event. Magnificent at her craft, she is also very sweet and knowledgeable in her field and possess a plethora of techniques for skin and makeup. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease and really took the time to listen to my wants and needs for the look while also giving her suggestions and input. Carla used high end products and really took her time to make sure that everything was truly perfect! I was ecstatic with the end result and couldn’t have been happier. I cannot possibly say enough good things about Carla. After a couple of hair and makeup trials that went rather poorly, Carla really hit it out of the park from day one. She was super responsive to emails and even texts messages. She was receptive to what I wanted and made suggestions to tweak it to what would look best with my skin and hair, and what would last the longest throughout the day. I met with her for two trials to really nail down what I wanted, as I'm kind of picky when it comes to makeup, and on the day of she really delivered. Carla did updos, blow-outs and make-up for my daughter's recent wedding. When we met Carla for the trial, we both knew that we had picked the right person. She was attentive to what my daughter wanted. She even fixed her curled her hair before we left because she and her fiance were meeting the photographer that day for engagement pictures. All of the bridesmaids loved their updo. Carla did make for the bride, MOH, MOB and GMOB. We all looked great! She did blow-outs for MOB and GMOB.
