What makes a great website?
Depending on the website, be it informative about your service or ecommerce where you can sell products, it really is the flow and aesthetics of what the website's purpose is. If it is getting leads, then it is up to the website to get that contact information. If it is for selling a product, it is for making the process so streamlined and easy that a customer doesn't have the chance to even think of abandoning a cart.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I would ask what the purpose of the website is; be it gathering leads, informing of a service, or selling merchandise. I would also ask if there are other website's they've seen that they liked the aesthetics and "theme" of. Then we could easily discuss how to accomplish this as well as work together for updates and edits in the future.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the freedom of being able to work from home, raise my daughter, and make my own schedule. Sometimes it is 40 hours.. sometimes it is 80. I just love what I do.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started the Carey Kidd Group, LLC in 2010 after watching my parents work tirelessly their whole lives, hating their jobs. I wanted to be able to take care of my family without having to have the added stress of working in the corporate atmosphere.
