Hands down one of my Too 5 favorite sandwiches of all time. In fact, we drove from Winston-Salem NC to Orlando with Zunzi's as our only "must-have" food stop. What are my other Too 5? Katz's Deli in NY for pastrami, grossly overpriced, but still awesome. John's Roast Pork in Philadelphia, The Hat for pastrami in SoCal and Padrino's for a Cuban in FL. The chicken is so tender and flavorful. The bread is crispy and fresh and those sauces are addictive. We picked up 3 more bottles of sauce to take home, one of each flavor. Love, love, love!!!!!!!! These sandwiches are to die for. I’m not kidding. Absolutely amazing!!!!! Wow oh wow!!! They even have vegan options. We got the “The Johnny Roll” . This uses Frikkadel Vegan "Meatballs", Hummus, Spinach, Onion, Bell Pepper, Sheba Sauce. Can I tell you it was ummm umm good. We almost went back after we left. But let me tell you something that was even more amazing....The service and the people. We had four lovely employees to help us with our order. Their names were Kai, Tracy, Sarah H, and Que. They made our night. It was raining outside and we had walked from our hotel. We had no idea what to order as vegans and they helped give several suggestions. They also welcomed us with open arms and entertained us. I have never had so much fun. They asked us about our trip, likes and dislikes, and we laughed so hard. We had such an amazing time that we knew the food would be incredible and of course it was. I got the Conquistador it was delicious. Tried my daughter's Godfather which was only great. A lady cane by and offered popsicles to my kids, which was a nice touch. Worth the wait! Zunzi's host Zunzifest once a month on the 26th of every month to celebrate their team, the community, and a charity. The organization I work for was the charity of the month. For Zunzifest they give our free full size Conquistadors and 26% of sales goes to the charity of the month! This deal led to lines being wrapped around the building all day. The discount for the sandwich did NOT equate to a discounted quality. The sandwich was amazing with both sauces! The service, although burdened with a continuous line of hungry bystanders, did not waver or cease to be excited. The staff, which operated like a close team, provided exceptional hospitality and service while I ate on the patio. This place popped up on so many "must go" lists, I had to be sure to check it out. Now I'm not a sandwich fan, but I made sure to get a platter. I ended up getting rice, chicken, and sausage. I got French bread on the side, some voodoo chips, and made sure to try all the sauces. I wasn't as much a fan of their most famous sauces, but there was one that I really liked that I can't remember the name of now. I don't how they marinate, cook or spice up that chicken but it's basically one of the best tasting thing's I've ever had. Got large CONQUISTADOR and it's two solid meals. Best part is the bread and they smartly line the inside of it with a single huge piece of romaine allowing you to enjoy the next day without any sogginess.
