This was the best decision my partner and I ever made, he's a Software Engineer at Intel and 20 year Army Ranger Veteran, I'm just a mom, full-time student and very particular about details , as is He. With Young's Electric , right from the first phone call you could tell you were about to feel a whole lot better , I mean this , and then - same day - We met Josh, first, he talked to us and treated us like family, just so approachable and pleasant ,second, he used our names, made efforts call PG&E and do what was needed right away. From the start, we wanted to pick this company having already had a few companies come out, we had the phone call , met Josh and that was it . We didn't wait long and on our appointment day we then got the pleasure of meeting Mark and Danny- just wow - We got great service , conversation when we initiated it and a real nice attitude from both men. They never hung out together . One, Danny, was diligently working under the house and Mark was just a pleasant, positive man inside working who loves his family and his job!! - go figure ! We told these men ,we could tell ,that, 'who ever owns your company makes sure to hire really 'good' people, you all have been so nice and efficient. We loved Young Electric! They were referred to us by our friend who recently had a plug in electric outlet installed in their garage. We just bought a Tesla and also needed a garage outlet to charge our car. Thanks to young electric the whole process took around 1 hour and they cleaned up after they were finished. In fact, I think they left my garage cleaner than when they arrived! I used Young Electric in 03/03/2018 and they were very professional. I was especially impressed w/Mark. All of my communication was done through text, email and phone. This was an easy, peasy transaction. I had an outlet by the stove that didn't work and needed them to coordinate w/my renters. No issues there. When Mark came there was confusion as to which outlet wasn't working. No worries though! I had my hot water heater short out on a Monday and was replaced that Friday afternoon (The soonest the plumber could get to me). After the plumber replaced the water heater, we discovered that it also blew the line going clear back to the electrical panel. This discovery of course was after hours. I called literally every Electrical company in the area and left a message explaining to them the problem and that I had now been without hot water for a week and was in desperate need of a Electrician. Most did not call me back. Two did. Chet's Electric said they could get to me in six months (I considered that response an insult since they knew my situation). Bend Electric said they could get to me in three weeks (another slap in the face). I had given up all hope until I got a call from Jeremy Young on Sunday....on a SUNDAY mind you!...who stated he would have someone out the next morning to run a new line. Not only did they keep in constant communication with me, Bob (who was assigned to my job. I hope I got his name right) even contacted me that he was running a few minutes late and then contacted me again when he was on his way. He worked quickly with a very professional and cheerful nature. Not only did the job ended up being $400 UNDER the quoted price but I got a 5 year warranty on the work performed! WOW! Oh yes. Great service, highly recommend! I had Mark come over to add a new cricut (a completely new installation) and he was very professional, focused, and detailed. ..he even vacuumed at the end to leave the area as clean as it was previously. Price was fair and they provide a 5 year warranty! Prior to Young I received 3 other quotes, one being from Roth Electrical which their price was excessively high and didn't even provide a warranty as Young Electric does. Only down side was that the actual work didn't start until at least 2 hours after the time I had scheduled, but Mark made up for that time and completed the work fast and professionally. On several previous projects I seemed to have a hard time finding an electrician in Bend. I am having WebFoot install cables on my roof to prevent ice damns but I needed an electrician to connect them to the house wiring. They recommend I contact Young Electric. I can see why they were recommended.Young Electric sent Bob to help connect the wiring. My experience was very pleasant. He was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job running all the wires and setting up all the connections. Outstanding service and quality work. You really can't ask for anything better.We had a blown circuit at our house and I called Young Electric at around 7:30 a. m., expecting to leave a voice-mail message and hoping they'd get to me in a day or two. Not only did the owner, Jeremy, answer my call but after I described our problem he carefully explained the charges and promised to send someone out later that day. As it was, one of Young's electricians finished a job early and a few hours later I got a call saying he was on his way. Young was selected to preform several repairs on a home I was helping a buyer obtain and there were some differences between the listing agent and electrician about work to be preformed. After my client closed on the house, Young came back out and walked through all of their electrical corrections, reminded buyer of a 5 year warranty on their work and offered fair pricing for the items we needed done. Young Electric did a great job on my service upgrade. I had them put in a new 200amp panel, meter socket, service entrance, and a 60amp circuit for an electric-vehicle charger. Everything was professionally done and I've had no problems with my service whatsoever. Adam VanderBloomen did the install and he was out on the roof in the rain finishing up.The city inspector said he's not supposed to have favorites but he thinks Young Electric does great work.Communication could have been better. Let me begin with customer service, I called for a quote and immediately I was impressed with the service level. They sent someone out and walked the property and inspected each electrical panel. It's something to be said about inspecting, I had other companies come out and look at the panel but did not inspect it. We knew there were issues with the wiring since it was on the home purchase inspection as a problem. Young electric identified the problem immediately. The work involved several coordinated trips to the house. The first was to route electricity to the gates. That was accomplished without any issues within a hour. (Adam) The second trip was to replace one electrical panel while removing the sub panel added by the previous owner. This is where wth work really became interesting. Nothing was marked in the panels so it was a search and find mission. Mark handled it without sweating or missing a beat. The third trip was to replace the second panel. It was great to have Mark follow up on this as there were noncode wires running through the box. His knowledge from the previous panel helped sort out the mess in the second panel. The last trip was to finalize the electricity to the gates. The new gate motors were installed and now we needed to trace the electricity from the panel to the outdoor outlet to the gate motors. Where we thought it would be a full day process, Mark knocked it out in a few hours. Young Electric will be my go to team for all of my electrical needs here in Portland. More...

These people were very professional. I called to have a switch fixed that I was baffled on. They got me in quick. Coordinated with my tenants, even showed up early. Gave me courtesy calls. Let me know in advance an estimated cost. There was a small mix up on what I needed done, but Mark, was super awesome! Instead of getting mad that he had to come back out he just said, "No problem" and came and fixed it. This is how it should be. Good company, quality work, nice people. Very easy even when things don't go perfect. I'd work with them again and again. They're pricey, but so is all electrical work. They don't try and hide the fees from you which is nice. I originally called them for an emergency visit because the power in my house went out and there were sparks inside the breaker box. They came out in less than an hour, got everything back on and safe. They needed to replace my whole breaker box and fix a bunch of stuff I don't even know (I knew I had wiring issues and it was a matter of time) but I was going out of town the next day so they told me what it would cost and set an appt. for the next week. The electrician Mark was very nice, explained things well, charged what he quoted me and even fixed a minor problem I had. He also showed up on time and was done much faster than I expected. It's hard to find dependable people when it comes to having work done in your house so I am very happy to recommend this company to anyone who needs an electrician and will use them again in the future if I do. I am not electrically savvy at all and needed help with a couple of faulty light switches. I needed fairly immediate assistance and was not getting anywhere fast until I came across Young Electric. 1. Jeremy answered the phone (as advertised). 2. they were able to come the same day. 3. The thermostat that manages the heat in the tile floors in our master bedroom died. I called the company that put the heater etc in and they could not come out until January. I really wanted it fixed ASAP. My neighbor has used Young Electric for various projects and has been very pleased with their work so I called them. Jeremy answered the phone!!!! He is the owner which I only discovered when the Electrician came out. Jeremy was amazing, we live in the same neighborhood and chatted a bit. I had ordered the replacement thermostat which was due Wednesday night...Jeremy scheduled Mark to come out to install it at 7:00 am Thursday!On Tuesday that week they had a break in their schedule and wanted to know if they could install the thermostat then, unfortunately we did not have the thermostat yet so we stayed with the Thursday appointment. He was able to come out in a timely manner and fix my electric issue, then also had some time to do an update I had been wanting to do for some time. I hired Young Electric to replace an attic powered vent fan.  A roofing company installed the original one, it ran for a few years, then stopped.  The roofing company quoted $1,200 to replace it.  I called Young Electric because of great internet reviews;  their person talked with me over the phone to isolate the problem.  We agreed that it was the fan itself that was bad.  A Young Electric electrician showed up, on time, with the right fan and other materials he needed.  Working in the attic means stepping into the loose fill insulation and finding the joists to work on;  their electrician was experienced in this work and had no problems.  He had to customize the mounting bracket because the new fan was slightly different --- again, no problems.  Final bill was well under half of what the roofing company had quoted.  Electricians aren't cheap, everybody knows that, but plumbing and electrical work are critical and paying for experience is worth it.  I'd hire Young Electric for any future electrical work. Young Electric replaced three bathroom exhaust fans and added a dimmer switch for me and I couldn't be happier.  Darin, the electrician, was on time, courteous, capable, informative, and otherwise a delight.  The "Tesla" patch on Darin's shirt suggested to me that this business is on the cutting edge of practical application of matters concerning residential electricity. Darren, our assigned electrician, was just great and very friendly! Not only was he very professional and explained exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to do it, he was also courteous and and worked quickly to get an outside plug installed that we could control from a switch inside the building. He kept the work area, which is a main entry for patients, clean and clear which was greatly appreciated. Also, he spoke very highly of working for Young Electric and I could tell he has a lot of pride in his company. The technician Darin was not only on time and a bit early but also Very knowledge, efficiency and pay attention to details to find the problem within a short period of time. So these guys are awesome. I was having some issues between LED bulbs, LV cans and WiFi dimmers. He was, over the phone, able to tell me that I had a compatibility issue with my setup and save me plenty of $$ by solving my problem over the phone. I got everything working just fine after my call. Highly recommend this company. They promptly responded to my request for a quote, provided a clear explanation for the costs and scheduled someone to come out within a week. Then they called to let me know they had an opening and I could have someone in just a couple of days. The young man who came out was very thoughtful in how he went about determining how and where to install the new outlet I needed in the hall bath; he explained everything he was doing and why; and he kept me informed about what he was going to do next. I also had him check something that had shown up on my inspection report for this house purchase, and he explained why the recommendation from the inspector was not needed.
