Yoki

This is my go-to restaurant in the area. I could probably eat here every day of my life and be content. The drinks are delicious, the white sangria is probably my favorite. The service from bar staff to wait staff is excellent, laid back, yet still professional. I've been here countless times and never had a bad experience. They have an amazing rewards program, events, and amazing music. The weekends tend to get pretty busy and sometimes you may need a reservation, but on a weeknight it's very cozy and romantic. In the summer they offer outdoor seating which I just love. The food itself is always delicious, consistent, and flavorful. My favorites are usually for tapas - the Gyoza (pan fried or steamed, equally delicious), the yoki street corn (corn on the cob with spicy mayo- um, yes please ), and the California sunrise maki (more spicy mayo with cooked fish over California rolls, very good). For entree I usually go for the fried rice (very generous portion  - chicken or shrimp is the best) or the ramen noodles (my absolute favorite, the broth is so delicious). I've had the teriyaki chicken and the chicken curry katsu as well, which were both out of this world. I'm sure anything ordered of their menu is delicious, they are seriously an amazing restaurant. I went to the one at porter square and the ramen is delicious. I got the ramen with chicken, asked for it to be spicy and it was, and everyone was super nice. I hope they introduce bubble tea! I absolutely love the lychee martinis here! I've ordered it at a few other places and no one does it the same as Yoki. Both the Bruins and Hawaiian Maki rolls are my favorite. The pineapple makes the Hawaiian maki both sweet and savory. Their chili Rangoon rolls are amazing as well as their soy garlic chicken wings. The only reason why I put 4 stars is because of their prices. I've had similar dishes for cheaper. Yoki will sometimes do scratch tickets, which is a great way to win a free roll.. Also I wouldn't recommend Uber eats as I found it just doesn't taste the same (temperature and sauce wise). There's also lots of parking which is a plus. More...

One of our favorite places, the sushi is always use grade "A" cuts. I had some pad thai, ask them to make it spicy...so good. The staff are friendly and attentive. The music and lighting make it a perfect place to forget about your troubles for a while. A must if you get the urge! More...

Every time I am in town I do make it a point to come here. They have basically become my extended family. .Food is always great, served with a smile and staff are always super attentive. I have no idea how someone could make no sense comments such as "airplane" food as I fly 150k a year and never had food like this in flight. I love this place! Everything is fresh and great quality.  All the way in the back of their menu they have my favorite dish their chicken or beef ramen. hands down the best ramen I've had. You really should sign up for the loyalty program they have to enjoy those perks, it's worth it and free. Even without one they have sales like any other place example $1 oysters on Sunday! This place is extremely busy which explain the wait. If you wanted fast food & cheap quality go to Macdonald. But if you wanted quality, then you need to have patience. Thus the reason why this place is busy. The bar is like it's own world with TVs from every angle to watch sport games if your into that. Bartenders are amazing, friendly, and apologetic taking ownership if they didn't hear you. For the most part they're quick are making mix drinks, and even have some custom ones on menu. Mangers are always roaming around checking up on every customer just to make sure your experience is great and if they're anything they can help you with. Don't believe the bad reviews on yelp. I definitely will have to come back for the $1 oyster Sunday. Even before tasting the food, I was excited to read that they have a rewards program! Our waitress was nice and attentive. The raw sushi were fresh and the maki rolls were rolled tight. I also loved the fact that they don't bother charging extra if customer prefers brown rice instead of white rice for their sushi. I do wished they used a lesser lean part of the chicken for their teriyaki. But aside from that, it's a nice family friendly place.UPDATE: I did take the family and went back for $1 oyster night and it wasn't great. The oysters were extremely tiny/skinny. Barely any oysters.
