I loved the fact that a lot of the machines with the same focus were sorted together (or atleast they seemed to be). The facility was clean with a large variety of machines. I just wish they had a sauna.

Fantastic. Our 3 year old is extremely energetic and doesn't exactly have listening, down pat. The ballet instructor has been a joy. So patient and so knowledgeable and even though she has to correct Athena numerous times during the class, she understands that Athena is 3 and shows no malice and the teacher makes the class interesting, fun and very caring.Tony H. Love this place very much. I had been searching for gym with child care service. They have nice child care while mommy is in the class with good teachers and clean child care room. The Y is, in my opinion, the best fitness facility option in the Bel Air South/Abingdon area. The facility is clean, the staff is generally polite if not overly friendly, the equipment is up-to-date, and the on-site childcare is decent. The only real drawback is that the childcare has a gap in afternoons from 1:30 - 4:00, which is actually my preferred time to go. I'm sure they do this in order to save on operating costs since the gym tends to be quieter around this time. It's not a total drag, just a minor inconvenience. Since joining the YMCA I have experienced an excellent report with staff they have excellent equipment their pools or clean the soltys or very clean I would give them in a plus plus plus rating I am a former member of planet fitness and would not recommend them at all join the Y! James Price
