Our first time at Wood N'Hog last night. We thought we'd give the new store on University a shot. It won't be our last visit! Tips were to die for, and my daughter got territorial over the fries and sauce. We tried the jerk tips as well, and they were excellent! Macaroni and cheese was also a hit. I had some of the best tasting food from here yesterday! The young girl at the register greeted me with the best smile and offered a sample of the sauce as I never had it. I wish I could have caught her name how sweet she was to me. She was very polite and even brought my food to my table. The food was cooked perfectly. I definitely would recommend this place! My husband and I working our way through their menu! Everything we’ve tried so far is outstanding—ribs, turkey tips, pulled pork, bbq chicken, gizzards, catfish, sides. Food was delicious. I got the Wednesday special which is a half chicken for only 7.99 and it comes with fries and toast. Also got the fried okra. Staff was friendly and fast. There's a lot on the menu so I'm looking forward to trying more. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The sauce was flavorful and there wasn't too much or too little. The okra was great too. First time coming here, and it just happened to be their anniversary. Tried the pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches, and they are phenomenal. Especially the pulled pork.
