I had a great experience with Windy Painters.  I had a crack in my ceiling that other painters were not able to patch properly.  Andy was very responsive when I reached out for a quote, he came by to provide an estimate to patch and paint my ceiling and scheduled the work within a week.   His painter, Rafa, came by Sat morning with all supplies, covered all my furniture, patched, sanded and painted my entire living room by 3pm. Andy and team provided a smooth, transparent, and easy process to paint my condo.  Their quote was very competitive and clearly laid out what was included, so there were no surprises. The entire job took 3-4 days and Chris showed up everyday on time.  He protected all of our furniture / floors, fixed drywall holes, and cleaned the area every day.  We have 13-15 foot ceilings so the job was probably a bit more difficult than the usual home, but the team did a great job.Even after the job was complete, Andy and Chris came back twice to fix some touch up areas and were very accommodating with their schedule.  The entire team was extremely professional and would highly recommend them for any painting job. I had absolute fantastic experience with Andy and his team.To schedule an appointment and proposed several dates and time slots. He arrived on time and prepared very competitive quote for my ceiling water damage repairs.Chris and Rafal arrived around 7.30am. They quickly moved and protected all furniture, covered floors, fixed drywall water damages, painted the ceiling, cleaned everything and were done around 4pm.I thought it would take 2-3 days. I had four big holes in the ceiling, peeling tapes, water stains everywhere. Now I cannot tell where they were.  One day and I have my place back. I can cook. I can watch TV. This is (unfortunately for me) the second time in just over a year I've had Windy Painters over to my condo for drywall repair due to water damage from upstairs neighbors. Andy's price was always very reasonable, either on-par or slightly lower than other quotes I had received. And best yet, he was able to schedule my repair very quickly! Other companies couldn't fit me in for almost a month.Kris did the repairs on my units both times, and he was extremely prompt and friendly. He did excellent work repairing the drywall and painting, and my unit was always left very clean. I have posted this review of my recent experience with Andy and his crew on Nextdoor Neighbor addressed to all my Lake View neighbors it reads as follows: January 23,2019Painter Suggestion. ..I just wanted to post a very positive experience I had the last two days of a painting company I had repair,bring to prime and then two coats of paint to just my ceiling. Let me say that I had not painted in 13 years and I know that sounds bad and it is.( They say you should paint at least ever five years. Its like moisturizing your skin everyday.) I was happy with the walls but the ceiling was a mess. I live in a condo and I had numerous stress cracks,peeling paint and just plainly a mess on my hands.The ceiling and walls are concert.  I had consulted with three company's two of the bids for just the ceiling (I can handle painting the walls) came in at $2000.00 (I have at least 400 sq ft maybe a little more, of ceiling I needed done in the main room) the third bid came in at less than $1000.00. I told him "No, its a big job and I will give you $1200.00 just do a good job."  All company's were licensed and insured in case of anything going wrong (picturing myself on Judge Judy) plus my building association likes that kinda thing although they do not require it for painting, I wanted to be safe. Andy and his team were great to work with! Very prompt, accessible, reasonable rate. We had a water leak from an upstairs faucet that caused some water damage down to 1 wall in our dining room. Andy promptly came out and gave us an estimate. We initially scheduled one of his team to come out to do the job, but they called quickly after we had left saying the wall was not yet dry. When the owner of the home above mine left the water running in his clogged sink for the better part of a day, the result was a disaster. A water mitigation crew cut out drywall, hauled away water-logged insulation, and hooked up blowers to dry my very wet ceiling. Then began the battle between the insurance companies--the upstairs homeowner's, the association's, and mine--about paying for repairs.The bright spot in all this was the excellent job done returning the ceiling to pristine condition. Oskar and his associate replaced insulation, patched enormous holes, and then expertly applied two coats of paint. Andy and his team are great! He got back to me right away with scheduling an estimate which was a completely fair price. Andy answered all my questions and provided me with several different options but was never pushy. The project was completed in two days and i barely noticed the painter was here! Within exactly one week of contacting Andy, he had come over to give us a quote and had the painting job in our condo completed. His communication was excellent and he was always very quick to respond. He gave us a very clear quote so there were no surprises and everything was handled very professionally. We bought our new construction house two years ago and of course they used cheap builders paint, so we needed literally our entire home interior to be repainted and we had never had so much as a single room painted so we had no idea what we were doing. Andy and his team helped with recommendations, color matching, etc. We got three quotes and they were very on par with other painters in the area but clearly more knowledgable and professional. I couldn't be more thrilled with the paint job Andy and his team did.  I purchased a lofted condo (13 ft ceilings) in December. I closed on the 6th and wanted to move in on the 15th and have it repainted before I moved in.  When I purchased my condo the prior owners had it painted very dark.  The second bedroom was a blood red, living areas dark grey and the hallway was a textured orange and brown paint. I am more of a light grey, white and blue person so I had to have all but two walls re-painted in my 2 bedroom condo.  Andy came and met me the morning after I closed on my place and gave me an honest quote.  This was my first home that I purchased so I guess I did have "sticker shock" but Andy was obviously very knowledgeable, explained where I could save money on paint selection and also when I should splurge more.  I spoke with a couple other painters and Andy's quote was very similar to the others I received. I turned my very dark condo to a much brighter one (I went with light grey and a light blue in the second bedroom).  I also had Andy's team wallpaper my hallway.  Before they were able to do that they had to sand the wall of the hallway to remove the textured paint.  I closed on a Wednesday, met Andy on Thursday, picked out my paint colors Friday and Andy had a guy out at my place painting on that Saturday morning. With only one man on the job, he finished my entire place by Wednesday.  I have had sooo many compliments on the painting in my condo and I cannot say enough good things. Excellent, prompt, clean, efficient, professional.  I had a relatively small job and contacted a number of painting services.  Many struggled to find a time to even meet with me to see the space.  Andy promptly returned my call, set up an appointment to see the space and give me an estimate, and he was able to schedule a painter to do the job within that week.  It was one accent wall in the living room, and one bedroom wall in the master bedroom.  However, the living room wall had a fireplace with a lot of white trim and the paint color was navy blue.  Andy's painter Kris arrived promptly at 8:00am on friday morning and I left for work.  I arrived home to a beautiful space, and not a drop of paint anywhere in my home.  It was as though no one had even been there.  Andy's team even picked up the paint for me and saved me a trip...  I would highly recommend Windy Painters, and I will be using them again for my 2nd bathroom, as soon as I pick out the color. I wanted my 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo painted before I moved in. I had a short pocket of time and was on a budget. Turns out, you can't get it all. I am not gonna lie, if you're looking for a cheap paint job, move on and look elsewhere. Windy Painters are QUALITY painters! I always believe you get what you pay for.  I had a verbal contract with a painter who quoted me $2200 for the job. Told me it would take him a week, no less. And then the guy didn't show up and never called me back, ever. Lol. I knew it was too good to be true. I met with Andy, who quoted me a bit higher. But Andy is honest, to the point, responsive and knowledgeable. They did the job in 3 days! His guys, OSKAR and RICHARD are AWESOME!! (Richard is very quiet, he maybe said 1 word the whole 3 days... Oskar seemed upset at Andy on Day 1, when he saw the condo. Said it wS impossible in 2 days). But they finished it all, and did an extra bathroom for me  Professional, experts and they don't smoke or make a mess. I now notice how much of a difference a good paint job makes. Andy and his crew recently redid all of our iron work for our 3 flat condo unit and they did an amazing job. They were on time, clean, and courteous to our property. They cleaned, ground and then painted all the iron around our back porches and the results are perfect. Their not cheap but it was well worth it for a quality job. I called Windy Painters Chicago for an urgent paint job on Monday, and Andy was able to fit us in on Wednesday that same week. I was a little skeptical cause I had told him that all our stuff was already moved in and that we might have people coming in to take things to storage. Seriously, as good as it gets! We hired a crew of contractors who's specialty was supposedly drywall and paint. They destroyed our condo over the coarse of 3 weeks with a crew of 4-6 people. Had to re-do everything twice, absolute nightmare! I finally fired them and called Andy since he had the highest ratings (Rightfully so!) on yelp. Andy came by, pointed out everything that needed to be done to repair the damage done by the crew and finish the rest of the job they didn't get to. Quoted me literally half the price of these so called experts and had one guy fix all the terrible work the previous contractors did and the job they didn't finish. We had Windy Painters paint a few rooms in our house last year after another crap contractor ditched us. They were quick and mostly good. My only issues were that the painter they sent out painted our kitchen walls the wrong color. I provided all the paint, indicating what colors were to go where, and he still somehow managed to paint it wrong. I contacted Andy, and though he was far from amiable as I explained the problem, he did eventually agree to send his painter back out to remedy their mistake. In addition, about a month later I discovered a section of trim they were supposed to have painted that didn't get done. I didn't feel like having to argue with Andy again, so I painted it myself and ate the cost. In summary: quick and mostly good work, but if you have any issues, you may have to have some unpleasant arguments in order to get it done right. More...

I can't say enough about how great these guys are! Andy got back to us immediately with a quote which was extremely reasonable for painting 4 large rooms, wallpaper and crown molding touch up. Andy was super easy to work with! I had an expensive plaster lighting fixture from Paris for a client that needed a few dents filled in and scuff marks removed. I was afraid to send this delicate plaster shade to just any painter, but after seeing all of the positive Yelp reviews, I thought I would ask the Windy Painters team for a quote. Andy answered right away, and we arranged for the repair work to be done right before Thanksgiving. One of his workers went to the warehouse where the lighting fixture was, and it turns out the pendant was not only repaired but looked even better than how it originally was received from the Parisian artist! We couldn't be more pleased with the work Andy and Peter provided,  Andy came to our house and gave us a very thorough estimate, even helping with suggestions where needed.  He left and said I'd receive an estimate by that evening, which I did.  His estimate was very detailed and his price was fair.  Peter was our painter and painted most of our one bed one bath condo.  We have very high ceilings which I thought would be tricky, but he did a fantastic job.  He also painted our fireplace- it looks seamless and modern.  We will absolutely call them again in the future. I got quotes from a few different places with high yelp ratings (including Windy Painters), and not only were they the cheapest quote I had, they did the best job of explaining exactly what it was that they would be doing (eg. taking down decorations for me, sanding my plaster walls where bumps existed, etc.). There were also no tricks with them; the quote they gave me is exactly what I wrote them a check for when it was all said and done.Andy was incredibly responsive with any questions I had and with scheduling a date for the job. Our job was initially scheduled for early June, but the job was completed a couple weeks early because he had a crew become available due to poor weather for an exterior project.The guys finished the job in less than a day (for nearly an entire apartment), and it looks fantastic. I couldn't be more pleased with the plaster and paint work Andy and his team performed in my condo last week. I'm overwhelmed with amazement at the quality of the work, the timeliness of the project, and his team's attention to detail. They are beyond fantastic. Windy City Painters went way, way beyond my expectations.I have a 910 sf one bedroom hi rise condo on Lake Shore Drive that had some very serious stress crack issues (because it's a corner unit) plus water damage in the bathroom. Besides the 6 or 7 floor to ceiling stress cracks, at some point in the building's 53 year lifespan, there had to have been some kind of catastrophic leakage from above. The building was constructed back in the day when the floors were 14 inches of steel and concrete; beneath the plaster more concrete. In the bathroom, a chunk of ceiling the size of a volleyball broke off and crashed into the tub.On the day of our appointment, Andy arrived on time to give an estimate. He is extremely personable, friendly and professional. He also brought many years of professional expertise working in hi rises. For example, because the stress cracks in the walls were caused by deeper cracks in the concrete behind the plaster, he gave me several options.His estimate for the project was less than I budgeted for and the artistry of the plaster repair was beyond what I thought could be done with an old apartment.The water damage repair in the bathroom is absolutely beautiful.Am very grateful to Andy for his patience with my many (simple minded) questions when he came to do the inspection. We met with three painters and ended up choosing Windy due to the attitude as well as price.  Andy was a very nice guy.  The painting job they did was very good.  My sister just had a nightmare with her painters and that really showed me how fast these guys did their job.  2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in a few hours.  The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that they booked one day but it actually took two days so we had to come back the following day, which we were not expecting.  This was to do all of the baseboards.  However, the next day they were done in about five hours so it was very quick.  I would definitely recommend. Andy and his crew were remarkably accommodating with our schedule and our needs. After realizing that an injured back would keep me from being able to paint the remaining rooms in our house, Windy Painters were able to come in and do the work given a two week lead time. Andy and his team are fantastic. I needed some water damage repaired on the ceiling of my studio apartment, as well as having the whole ceiling repainted (it was awfully dirty and had mismatched paint colors throughout). The job was done in a single day while I was at work. I came home to a clean apartment and beautifully repaired & repainted ceiling! Andy and his team are absolutely fantastic.My husband and I are first time homeowners, so it has been a little overwhelming trying to make the right choices and really do the right things to take care of our home. Windy Painters were hands down one choice we definitely got right!Andy came by to do the quote as soon as we had access to the place. He gave us an extremely fair and honest quote, sent us a same-day, detailed summary of the work they would do, and spent a significant amount of time just explaining to me what to think about with respect to taking care of a home and its walls.
