This is a long belated review!  We had the White Lotus Dragon and Lion Dance perform for the Asian and Pacific Islander Pride Lunar New Year banquet this year.  Scheduling was easy, communication was great, super affordable, they were patient till we were ready to have them perform, they did an amazing job, and we really enjoyed it!  We will definitely be hiring them again for future banquets! We asked the White Lotus Group to be one of our performers at our first annual Multicultural family event. Our goal was to bring in different groups that represented the students at our school.  We definitely met our goal since we had more families attend that had never been to a school event. The dancers were highly entertaining and super interactive with our audience.  it's almost a week later and students are still talking about how AWESOME it was! We were blown away by this performance group.  We are a Vancouver Retirement Community and had them during a special themed meal.  They arrived early.  They were professional young people.  We had them do the Lion Dance with instruments.  Wow!  It was charming and exciting. The lions teased the audience and circulated the whole room letting each table see them up close.  The lions tails wiggled and the residents giggled...oh it was so great.  I'm happy to be a reference for this group and answer questions.  We will definitely have them back. I've had the pleasure of working with a few lion dance and dragon dance groups in the past for my student organization, and I can say without reservation that White Lotus is the most recommendable lion dance in the Portland area. . in multiple aspects at that.Every year our school puts together a Lunar New Year celebration but it wasn't until coming across this team this year did I realize what we were missing out on. Not only are they a group of extremely professional young members (very responsive to emails and came very early to make sure they had more than adequate preparations to start on time), but they also put together a great show with the most amazing stunning acrobatics and crowd interaction.. The lions are just too cute (especially the little green one.. request him if you can)! We originally went with this team this year because they seemed to be the only team that is not for profit, and that's always a plus. I wouldn't hesitate to hire White Lotus Lion Dance again next year for our event and would highly recommend them for any event. At the very least, if you ever have the opportunity to catch one of their lion dance performances in Portland, I'm sure you will be in for a treat! More...
