Valerie is absolutely phenomenal! When leaving our first consultation with her, my mom and I had no doubt that we had made the right decision on who my photographer would be for my wedding! When meeting with Valerie she made sure to understand what my vision was for our photos. She made recommendations based on the vision we discussed, while being mindful of the budget we discussed. For our engagement session my fiancé and I decided we wanted to include my 9 year old son. Valerie very enthusiastic about our idea and even captured my sons vision for some of our pictures of me pushing him on a swing! Leaving this review is FAR overdue!, but having just received the photographs from our last session with Valerie I wanted to put this down. My wife and I, plus our family have been working with Valerie for going on 8 years now and she has been nothing short of AMAZING!! We first contacted Valerie about doing our Engagement photos back in 2012. Now I personally hate taking photos...it’s just never been my thing. Going into the day of our engagement photos I was dreading what was to follow and wanted to get the day over with as soon as possible, but come the end of the session I had a smile on my face that I couldn’t get rid of!! Valerie is the definition of professional and has an extraordinary way of making the atmosphere lighthearted and fun! My wife and I laughed our way thru the session and it has been that way each and every time we’ve met with her.On our wedding day my wife and I were nervous wrecks, but Valerie and her team went above and beyond to make sure our day was nothing short of perfect. Our wedding planner essentially dropped the ball on multiple occasions that day, but Valerie herself stepped up and made sure that things were taken care of...even at one point noticing that my wife and I had not eaten, so she made us two plates and pulled us aside so we can eat! That might not sound like much but the thought and care that she put into that day is something my wife and I will never forget!! In total, Valerie has done our Engagements, Bridals, Wedding, a Mothers Day shoot, Pregnancy, our Daughters 1st Birthday, and Easter Family photos we just did last month. We have and will always recommend VMA to anyone in need of the very best in photography!Valerie, thank you so very much for all that you’ve done for Jaimie, Amelia, myself and our family. From the first time I met with Valerie to discuss potentially shooting my wedding, I knew she would be a great fit. I had so many ideas and questions that she helped bring clarity to. She is so personable and extremely flexible when discussing your personal vision. My husband and I are two large personalities that are surprisingly enough camera shy, so the idea of doing Engagement Photos made us both a bit anxious...but once the first few shots were out of the way, the giggles came rolling in. Valerie is professional, but also knows how to let loose and have fun when shooting. Valerie made note of those moments and shots important to us and captured them beautifully. Valarie is very professional and up for anything. She flew states away for my wedding, and even in the cold weather she smiled thru it all. She makes sure your wedding is the best ever, and i have a thousand pictures to go back and remember every detail. Even the stuff you wouldn't think to capture she does.
