Can honestly say the BEST Italian food I have had! Birthday lunch today, discovered this place thru Yelp. Easy to find and a gem! They offer lunch menus on a Saturday, food wine selection and a few dessert selections. We were quickly greeted and seated by Wes. He offered suggestions which were helpful. All the food ordered was thru the lunch menu. The food portion sizes were of a dinner plate (bonus). We placed mozzarella fritta as an appetizer. They were light, not greasy and full of delicious mozzarella. Wes mentioned they don't freeze them therefore they taste so good.We ordered a NY style pizza, Kids spaghetti and a huge meatball, Parmesan chicken with a balsamic salad, Marsala chicken with pasta- you have the option to add pasta or salad with the entree. The food was cooked perfect, sauces amazing and the flavors were delicious. Again the portions were spot on! The food arrived quickly. We ended the afternoon with a slice of cheesecake. This will be my go to Italian Restaurant. The place is decorated nice, they have a bar area, lots of seating and parking. The kids have planned to return soon with a big Second visit with a large group, the waitress was unfriendly but the food was great as always! Waitress was so serious and we had to ask for things like bread which we know comes out to the table. All I can say is OH MY GOD!!! Â All home made. Â First time here and it will not be the last. Â Meatballs homemade and hand rolled in-house. I'm so happy to have found this place a taste of NY in NC. If you want to taste authentic NY pizza, this is it....I want to thank them for being so welcoming when I came in Christmas Eve. I have been here 5 times in the past few months with my wife and a couple of those times with our kids as well. Every time has been great. We have had a few of the pasta dishes; Stromboli; and the Pollo Scarpariello twice. Each entree was delicious. We've also had the meatballs and fried mozzarella appetizers. Can't say enough good things about this place. I'm Polish but Italian food is my favorite. Only bad thing is that we've lived here 14 years and just discovered this place. We will continue to make the drive from Clayton as often as we can, because this is the best Italian food we have found in the Raleigh area. More...

My father and I are visiting Raleigh to visit colleges, and I found this place on yelp when we were looking for a good dinner place. When we got there there was a bit of a line, which was our bad we came during a very busy time, and we had to wait about 25 minutes, but it was VERY worth the wait! The mozzarella fritti was very good, they use real mozzarella for it and it tastes great, and I had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken which was amazing. Amazing food! Â I was there to split a to go lunch plate. I wanted the kind server of a location next door to try the amazing food from Vivo. This place is so good. My husband, daughter, her boyfriend, and best friend enjoyed dinner tonight. We wanted to try something different so my husband had the Franciscan chicken, I had the Stromboli, daughter and best friend had Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, and her boyfriend had the Chicken Roll and . y husband topped it off with ricotta cheesecake.My husband's selection was ok but everything else so good! I would love to have given Vivo's 5 stars. Â The Cinelli family provides delicious authentic Italian fare that reminds me of the time I lived in the NYC area. However, the atmosphere and service left my dinner companion and I a bit "chilly". In fairness to our server, Dustin, he was new- he told us so when I ordered the Caprese salad and he didn't know what I was talking about (I ended up pointing to Mozzarella Caprese on the menu). We asked for pepper and he brought us ground pepper in a shaker. I should have specified cracked pepper or a pepper grinder as we intended to grind a little pepper in the olive oil served with our bread. The final misstep was when Dustin brought us our bill at the end of our meal. We were never asked if we would like dessert or coffee. That would have been a nice gesture and certainly less cold. I will return again because the food was excellent. A bit more warmth and welcoming that I have experienced at other Cinelli restaurants would be greatly appreciateMy son and I just had a cheese pizza! We ordered for take away. OMG! I think I have found an authentic NYC pizza here in Raleigh- finally after 25 years of searching! Unbelievably perfect balance of crust, sauce and cheese. We celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday at Vivo Ristorante. It was a wonderful night! Everything about this restaurant was perfect. The food was delicious , the service outstanding , and the owner extremely gracious and made sure we had everything we needed. It is so nice to go to a restaurant where you genuinely see the staff doing their best to make your night enjoyable and pleasant. To top it off, the food was delish.
