Vitamin Chi Acupuncture and Wellness

This was my very first acupuncture session and I really didn't know what to expect. I didn't have any particular pain or discomfort. I just wanted better overall wellness plus some insight into eastern medicine.Jennifer was the perfect Sherpa. She "read" my tongue, took my pulse, asked some insightful questions and gave me information & recommendations about how to optimize health and wellness based on MY specific make up.She proceeded to conduct the acupuncture (which was painless) and I immediately felt an energy shift. Incredible results. I was going to need surgery for brachioplexopathy - a complex and painful numbing in my shoulder and hands. I am a professional guitarist and would have lost 6 months of work. Now I can play guitar everyday! Jennifer has restored me to a health that I never knew possible! I'm more vibrant, energetic, ideas are flowing better, and a bunch of different pains are getting healed - ones I've had for years. Knees, abs, back, headaches...Jennifer is incredible. I hadn't been feeling well recently, and I went and saw Jennifer yesterday. Three needle pokey things and twenty minutes later, the treatment was done. I don't know what kind of miracle was pulled off with those needles, but I feel amazing today!I've had acupuncture treatment abroad before, but I'd never had such a drastic change in my overall well being before. I'm a hairdresser that blow dries hair all day and uses my arms, shoulders and back for everything I do! I developed this terrible pain in my right upper arm that would wake me up at night and ache in the morning! This pain went on for almost a year and half! When Jennifer told me her acupuncture might help, I was totally in disbelief. How could a few little needles actually fix this serious problem. I knew I wasn't going to stop blowdrying hair anytime soon, so I made an appointment! Laid on the table! She put a series of needles on different parts of me, and then the one special needle in the painful spot on my arm! It kinda hurt! I remember telling her I wasn't sure she knew what she doing!! Ha!! I was wrong!! I left, went home, was sore.......then three days later...the pain in my arm was gone! Seriously gone! It has been ONE YEAR and the pain is still gone! Amazing! I went to see Jennifer for some anxiety and neck tension issues. I had never been to an acupuncturist before so I wasn't sure what to expect. She was incredibly thorough and attentive and the results were incredible. As soon as she started working on my neck I felt like I was having an exercise high! She explained that a lot of scar tissue can build up in the neck and make it hard for oxygen to get through so her needling was giving me a huge hit of oxygen when I had a blockage before. It gave me a rush of energy that kept me going for weeks! It's amazing how anxiety can dissipate when your body is just circulating oxygen properly. I moved away from San Diego and was so disappointed with acupuncturists I saw who I hoped would be like Jennifer, but they just applied needles to a few points without working any Jennifer magic and ended up leaving me cold. I followed up with her about the experience and she gave me some recommendations for finding acupuncturists whose practices were similar to hers so I wouldn't have issues again. Luckily I have family and friends I visit in San Diego regularly and getting some Jennifer care is always on the top of my list! More...

I have been going to Jennifer to deal with chronic headaches and hormone imbalance. I ALWAYS leave feeling more relaxed, calm and cared for.  I love the acupuncture and the Reiki healing. Over the past year I had encountered shoulder pain. Sure enough it was my rotator cuff. I'm very gym active and sometimes the workouts were not done properly. For some time I got help from Personal Trainers, massage therapists, online and what not.. however, after a few weeks, guess what? PAIN AGAAAIINNNN... while looking for a new way, I came across Jennifer. With her simple knowledge, experience and victim of the exact same pain she said, "I can help you!" Right away she told me to do random moves and noticed how my shoulder had poor form because it was moving in the incorrect manner along with my back. Within seconds I was sold, I had about 4-5 sessions with Jennifer and man, my shoulder has never felt better. Her level of knowledge in the world of Acupuncture is unbelievable, each time we would meet, she would try different methods, different forms, basically to enable the shoulder to effectively open in proper form with all the joints by decreasing every pain possible. Not only was she great at every Acupuncture session but she also gave me homework for the week. What sort of stretching to do, what sort of stretching to avoid, what workouts to focus while at the gym and those I should stay away from for a few weeks. Jennifer is very in tune to my body's needs. I'll go in because of one thing and she'll find that it is cause by a lack of circulation to my spleen. I never think about my spleen.

My husband suffers from chronic back pain and one morning woke up with spasms and was pretty much unable to move. We laid him down in the back of our hatchback like a freshly caught tuna and brought him to Jennifer, who understood the pain level and saw him right away. I was really impressed by the way she listened and her ministrations were thoughtful and my husband's back spasms relaxed considerably. I have severe shoulder pain after having children. I  couldn't breastfeed and only held my children with my left arm. I have gone to Jennifer intermittently (because of my busy schedule) and not only is she great at what she does, she takes the time to listen to me and get in tune with my body. I've lived abroad in a country where eastern medicine is approached as a viable option for medical treatment and I have also been to very "natural" acupuncturists that have made me feel like I need to bow to the sun god before my treatment. Jennifer is a great balance of giving sound medical advice as well as knowing how important movement and habits are to our daily lives.
