Vital Signs Medically Based Wellness

My husband, Scrog Wood, saw Donnie Sharp, DPT, Physical Therapist, three times a week for 6 weeks following a partial knee replacement. He has been to Donnie Sharp a few times before, so he knew that is who he wanted to see after this surgery. Sharp is extremely knowledgable, very easy to talk to, and follows through with every question. The staff at East TN Spine and Sport is very knowledgable and helpful also. Most importantly, my husband trusts Dr. Sharp. He was referred to him by another friend years ago and since then, we have had other family members choose to go to him. I just completed two weeks of PT at Spine and Sport in Oak Ridge and I'm extremely pleased with my results. I have to say I was surprised that the simple exercises prescribed alleviated my neck pain -- I was initially convinced my condition was worse than it was. I worked with Eric who was friendly, funny, and professional. Eric explained the mechanics, my symptoms and possible causes in a way that I understood and made sense. I was never uncomfortable with any of the manual stretching he did. The long term maintenance he recommended to keep my neck pain-free is manageable and reasonable.

The atmosphere and the entire staff there was great and I felt that the facility and equipment were clean and well kept. Appointment times never dragged on past the time allotted and I never had to wait more than a few minutes upon arrival. The girls at the front desk are super friendly and easy to work with. I've only been to one other physical therapist and one chiropractor, so I can't really compare this one to others but I can say that my experience at Spine and Sport was perfect.
