We took a two-hour Christmas light tour for our anniversary. Our driver Rick Thiesen was prompt and courteous. He had previously gone out to pick the appropriate route to maximize our viewing pleasure. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and our driver had even turned on the seat warmers to be ready for us. He also showed how to adjust the temperatures in the back (where we were).Even though this light tour was more of a once in a lifetime event for us, I can definitely see using this service for transport to / from the airport / train station, so we will probably use them again at some time in the future. We rented out the 30 person bus for my daughters 21st birthday celebration. VIP Limo is such a great company to work with and made it such a perfect night! We had THE best experience on 2/16/19! Booking staff person was top-notch, and our driver was kind and considerate, and provided TRUE chauffeur service, even in terrible weather. We went with a “Sprinter”-type vehicle and had a BLAST of surprise birthday party. VERY affordable! We went over our agreed upon time a bit, but VIP provided great service in keeping our rate for service LOW. Great communication from our driver, and even a courtesy check-in after drop off. By far the BEST limo service we have used in the area. We needed a limo for my husband, six children, and myself on Christmas Eve. I called around and two other places didn't even call me back. Jackie (I hope I got her name right), the lady on the phone was extraordinarily friendly, and she scheduled us an eight person stretch for the exact time we requested.The automated system contacted us by text an hour in advance. The driver, Jerry, texted us a few minutes in advance and let us know he would be arriving early which was perfect. Jerry was a wonderfully friendly driver, and he was extremely kind to our children. We took care to wipe our feet and not to bother with amenities we didn't need, and I could tell Jerry appreciated that.Everything was top notch. VIP is fantastic! I would strongly recommend! They were great with booking communication over email and found a vehicle for my company's holiday light tour party that fit into the budget. There was a sudden change to the date we needed and they were so flexible and helpful. VIP Sedan and Limo came to the rescue within 4 hours of needing a bus after being cancelled on by another company the day of our event. The 30 person party bus they provided us with was the nicest looking bus I have ever seen and the driver, in full formal attire, made the boys' night absolutely perfect. We had a really good time on the Christmas light tour with vip. Marcus was a very attentive driver, he kept his ear open when someone was excited about a particular display, and without any kind of request, slowed the limo down a bit so they could enjoy it a bit longer. We did fill the limo (capacity 8) up! The windows almost immediately fogged up and was a minor issue throughout the tour. Marcus did a great job instructing our control of the climate control system which did help a lot, however with so many of us in such a small space,,we still had some fogging. I will break down my review to my own personal experience. 1. staff I spoke with on the phone,,great! 5* very helpful , polite, and courteous. 2. Driver, Marcus,,If I could give him 6 *,, I would! He was very polite, anticipated needed breaks, knew the controls in our area of the vehicle, and took us out til 11:00 on a Saturday, with a wife and kids at home,,(we tipped him well.(FYI Even if they tell you its all inclusive,,tip your driver if he, she does a good job in cash,,its the right thing to do.)). 3. Equipment, (the limo) A Lincoln I think? Very first thing I noticed was a large rust bubble under paint, on a window pillar, next was a part of the interior actually snapped off and fell onto the street while I was getting in, (retrieved and reported to driver), carpet seemed pretty worn, ceiling lights sometimes seemed erratic or malfunctioning, climate control may not be fully adequate in cold conditions when completely full. I give this particular piece of equipment a 2 star. 4. Price,,I'm a self employed business man so I understand what it takes to run a business. I'm also a fine finish trim carpenter who has exacting standards. Fuel costs, Insurance, maintenance, payroll, etc. I can tell you for the price we paid, 3H and some change + what we tipped the driver 60 I think,,,the price is right,,but this particular piece equipment needs updating, overhaul, or replacement. 5. Price to equipment,,2.5 star. Price, to equipment and driver, 4.5 star. Staff can make all the difference,,and the ones that do, should be compensated well. I recently surprised my mom with a limo holiday lights tour through VIP. I had initially set it for 8 people with a car seat. They called me the day of to inform me the 8 passenger sprinter van had some mechanical difficulties so they upgraded for the same price to a 13 passenger. I was able to invite more people which was great. The driver was very professional and went along perfectly with the plan I had laid out. He knew all of the good lights around town too! Unfortunately there was miscommunication and the driver did not bring a limo with seatbelts so my sister in law and nephew didn't get to come along. When I reported this to the company they investigated and gave me a portion of my money back in less than 24 hours.
