The pastry chef at Velvet's Bakery, Joel Flores, is a remarkable talent, making each creation equally delicious AND beautiful! I've used his work for multiple black tie events, as contributions to the Thompson Family Christmas celebration, as gifts for vip's, birthdays, bridal showers, birthdays and fundraisers....and at each event, his work never fails to earn oooh's and aaahhh's for its skilled artistry (from lace to miniature animals, wedding bells, etc) nor does it ever fail to earn multiple, "Mmmmm's" either! Reasonably priced too, I can't say enough good things about this Dallas treasure loved by "those in the know"! More...

What inspired you to start your own business?
My Partner made me some Red Velvet Cake balls once I tasted them, I asked who made these he said Me! I thought wow this guy can bake. so together we decided to start a little bakery.
