I submitted an online inquiry on their website, but they get BUSY. I would recommend following up or just calling - because you can miss your window. I ended up calling and was able to book my order. I ordered 15 custom cupcakes and they were exactly what I wanted. I asked for space/galaxy themed chocolate cupcakes for a baby shower and they came out PERFECTLY! Simply- Sam made the BEST cake ever!! Asked for a beer-themed decoration on birthday cake for my son, a craft beer brewer. She came up with an AMAZINGLY creative, realistic looking "beer glass" cake topper- she even researched & included brewery logo!! Cake was delicious as well as beautiful. Have been meaning to get into this place for a month-ish (since it opened) but this week Westword gave it a great review and I figured it was go now or miss visiting it as a "hidden secret". You don't have to be ordering a custom cake to enjoy this place: I just bought several cookies and a cake gem :). Not even a mile from Valhalla's front door and the snicker doodle and iced sugar cookie are delicious history. I dumped the crumbs in the take out bag down my throat ;) Now forcing myself to get home before hubby and I devour the cake gem. The delicate texture and moist tenderness of the snicker doodle made it the BEST one I have ever had, hands down. Go Valhalla!! More...

One night, a few weeks before my birthday, I was watching one of the 900 republican debate’s and was filled with a kind of fury that only violence could satiate. However, as we all know, violence against elected (and un-elected) officials is frowned upon in the United States so I figured the next best thing would be to have a cake made in the decapitated image of my favorite person to hate, Donald Trump!

Sam did a job that I can not even describe. So hopefully she'l post a photo to do the talking. I’ve never had a cake made for anything but after this one, I’m looking for reasons to get cakes made for any and EVERY occasion!

Thank you Sam for your beautiful work on the sheet cake for our courthouse after party. She made us a beautiful cake with tons of freehand fondant designs. It was more beautiful than anything I found on google to show her what I wanted. There was a slight snafu and Sam more than corrected the problem. Honestly, Sam could probably charge more considering her talent. Some friends and I walked into Valhalla cakes last week and we were promptly greeted and welcomed. Immediately we felt like part of the "family" while speaking with the gal that helped us. We just wanted to grab a few cup cakes and cookies but we were so stunned by the elaborate artistry that was displayed in the windows of cakes that looked exactly like Thanksgiving turkeys! Also a Beatle Juice Cake and some left over Halloween style creations. They were so amazing! Our cup cakes were scrumptious and the cookies were devoured by my kids with in seconds of being home. I needed a last minute cake made for a birthday party the following day so I did a quick search for specialty cake stores in the area. Valhalla Cakes popped up as a new place in town so I gave it a shot. My custom birthday cake was baked and frosted to perfection within 45 minutes! It looked so amazing that we almost cut a few slices the night before the party (shhh don’t tell). The cake was delicious as expected and guests were asking where we had purchased it.
