As a director of customer operations, I know well the difference a single staff member can make on a customer’s experience. Last month I requested a quote online and was introduced to Trevor. He was courteous and professional. While I did not execute the on the quotation immediately, Trevor remained patient and followed up in a friendly and non-pressuring manner. After my receiving my order I was very impressed with the quality. I followed up my initial order with a second purchase but unfortunately one of the items arrived damaged. Once alerted to the damage, Trevor apologized and went to work getting a replacement sent at no charge. One of Jesse Enkamp's (aka The Karate Nerd) videos got me thinking about the physiological benefits of a standing desk. I spent several hours researching electric sit-stand desks, ranging in price from a few hundred to many thousands of dollars. I settled on Uplift Desk company, located I believe in Austin, Texas. The Uplift Desk website was well designed and the Uplift V2 Desk had received several strong endorsements (especially in Wirecutter). I comparison shopped, I reflected on my preferences, I read published reviews, I read customer reviews, and I worried that I might be making a costly error. But I decided to take the leap and purchased the V2 Commercial (with stabilizer bar) in the 30" x 60" size with bamboo top and slide away keyboard tray. My order arrived at my door in five boxes in about five days from placing the order via Fed Ex. The directions were very well organized which made the desk easy to assemble. I especially loved the individually packaged assembly hardware parts, each in its own separate compartment with parts number printed to make inventory check and assembly most manageable. I LOVE the desk! I popped for the programmable height adjust keypad. I teach classes online and run synchronous meetings frequently. To be able to stand up while running meetings is wonderful. The Uplift Desk is very sturdy and very functional. The company offers numerous accessories, which I am scrutinizing even as I write this review. I like those single file cabinet with drawer on rollers option. It even comes with a padded seat cover. I was hopeful that the Uplift V2 Commercial Desk would be what I needed. I stumbled across this company online, and ordered a lift desk for my new home office. It arrived promptly and it was pretty easy to assemble (says my husband). I’ve been using this desk for 2 months now, and I LOVE IT! I really only use it in the standing position, and it’s so easy to stand all day because they included a FREE bamboo swivel board. Best of all, the desk top is a whiteboard! I have all my notes for critical tasks at my fingertips (literally ;). Seriously, this is the best desk I’ve ever owned, and worth every penny! I recently received my 72x24 standing desk in white and I can't recommend Uplift Desk enough.I ran into a couple of snags when assembling my desk, and their customer service team was prompt, thorough and detailed in helping me through my issues. Just what my back needs. And I love it.I have used a popup standing desk before and it was great for my back but I didn't have enough space to work, it got annoying. So, I started looking for a full sized desk that was affordable and I found UpLift. Very happy that I did.Assembly of the 70" x 30" desk took about an hour and a half with the help of my wife. We read everything before starting a section and had no problems, it all went together very well. I used a battery powered drill with a #4 Alan head to do most of the assemble, just be careful and don't strip anything. I drilled pilot holes for the screws that were needed and it was a breeze.I added the under desk CPU holder, that took a minuter and I added the Privacy panel in front to hold cables. I'm not sure if I will need much else for "Cable management" but if I do I did purchase the kit. In an office with 10 computers there is always a need to manage cables.I also made the decision to purchase the White Board Desk top, It will come in very hand for me and my staff to leave me notes instead of pieces of paper. However, I'll never be able to say the note disappeared, unless I wipe it off myself.If you have been thinking about purchasing from Uplift I would recommend it and if you have been thinking about a Standing Desk for whatever reason I would also recommend it.Thank You Uplift for a great product. After a lot of research the only desk I found that could compare with the quality of the UpLift Desk, was made by Steelcase, cost a fortune and was awkward to purchase. The online purchase experience was fantastic and although I was being up-sold on several accessories, I have no regrets about getting any of them: lamp, big foot pad, power organization and magnetic thingies and some free stuff! I live in Toronto so the shipping quote seemed a little off the charts. I reached out directly and received quick and courteous replies and a new, quite reasonable, shipping quote. The desk arrived three business days later and although there was some very minor damage to the bottom corner of the top, it was assembled within two hours and have been using it happily since.I honestly felt I'd be standing about 20% of the day in order to change it up and relieve my back and neck. Turns out I prefer to stand about 80% of the day. I also find myself moving around a lot to music and feeling generally more free - to talk on the phone, when folks come into my office, when writing and working at the monitors. The desk was as easy to assemble as promised. All the surprises were good ones. A friend brought my desk (frame only) to Kenya (where our NGO is) and repacked into two suitcases easily under the weight requirements for international checked baggage allowances. I bought a frame only for a DIY desk. I started with a two leg product from another company but sent it back because it was too shake with the large heavy top that I wanted. The four leg frame and operator from Human Solution is perfect. it is stable in all positions. Shakes just a tad a fully up position if you really make it do so. Solid as stone at any position below fully up. Great product! Thinking of another to use for a blue print table. I plan to tilt the top. I have chronic back problems and being able to not sit all the time is a huge relief. If you have any skills with you hands I suggest a DYI desk. It's rewarding to work at a desk that you built. Very rare to have a company both make an amazing product, and also have amazing customer service. I purchased my uplift desk a few months ago and have been blown away by the quality of the desk, and the quality of the customer service. I love that they make accessories for everything from lights, to power, to treadmills, and even a hammock. friends,I have had my desk for three days now and absolutely love it. What I truly appreciate about the desk and the company was the assembly process, which was easy to follow. Because when I first saw the packaging and all the screws and the instruction manual, I was filled with trepidation and anxiety. I ordered an Uplift Desk in January when I opted to go back to school and decided to redo my home setup. I went with the 48" with the curve, and let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions I've made. I find my time at the desk is far more productive and comfortable than I had with my old sitting station. I'm almost always standing, and since I can move and shift around, I don't even really need to use the stool I got as well. When I'm watching a lecture or something, I do drop it down for the longer videos, and it is just as comfortable there.I called customer service to ask about some different monitor arms and spoke with Sami, and the customer service received was just as great as my experience with the desk.I've been telling friends/family/work about my experience every chance I get, and if you're reading this, looking for thoughts on going with an Uplift desk, you won't be sorry you did. I ordered a full desk, accessories, cabinetry etc. and after ordering asked tht Uplift hold the order until I moved into my new place. They were a joy to work with and terribly accommodating. I then worked with them on the delivery upon move-in. The packaging is world-class and the quality of materials is very high. The rolling file drawer is seriously built. And the Pheasantwood desk I ordered is thick, sturdy, beautiful and a work of art.Unfortunately it arrived with what I would call a structural crack in the wood. Not damage from shipping, and something that would have been caught upon shipment. It was just destined to crack along a wood-fault-line. I ordered a solid african mahogany top desk and added the optional crossbar. The quality of the materials was excellent, desk is sturdy and stable, instructions were well done with good fastener organization. I think this desk will last a good long time. The only place they fell short was on shipping protection. All of the boxes looked beat up on arrival and all but one of the lifting straps had broken off; the remaining one broke when I tried to lift it. Unfortunately the one damage that occurred in shipping was a significant dent right in the solid wood top that looked like someone took the edge of a hammer to it. I steamed it with an iron placed on a washcloth for about an hour and remarkably I was able to get 90% of the dent out. Adding more sturdy lifting straps to the boxes would help greatly as I could see my burly delivery person was having trouble with the ungainly box sizes. More...

I am so glad that this is the desk that I chose to purchase for my work at home assignment! Although I do feel that the assembly instructions could be improved, everything did come together with perfect alignment. Refreshingly there were no missing parts! The parts used are heavy duty, and obviously for long-term use. I ordered the bamboo desktop, and it is solid and beautifully finished. The design and workmanship are excellent, and especially impressive around the ergonomic curve. The surface is impervious to liquids as a recent spill proved!Most importantly, the movement of the desk when raising and lowering is smooth and almost silent. The height adjustments are exacting, and the digital display provides immediate and continuous feedback. I ordered the casters which have made moving the desk simple.I couldn't be happier with my Uplift desk, and would encourage anyone concerned about the negative health effects of sitting at a desk all day to purchase one.
