Our two year old sheepadoodle Pippa just completed four weeks of training at Unleash Fido. The initial separation is hard but so worth it when the obedience training is completed. Pippa is now a disciplined, well behaved dog. She sits, heals, walks in crowds like a champ and no longer jumps on, chases or herds our grandchildren. She listens intently and honestly shows off how well behaved she is. I cannot say enough good things about her Trainer McKayla. She is incredibly experienced with canines and Pippa’s success is a great example of McKayla’s compassion, professionalism and willingness to help me also be successful with Pippa. Unleash Fido and McKayla delivered extraordinary results with our Pippa. Like I said, the separation was hard, but 100% worth it. More...

Our little maltipoo, Lily, recently spent 5 weeks at Unleash Fido with our new friend, Kendra. Lily is a very smart girl, but was having some aggression/barking/biting issues at times. I have 5 younger children so I knew something had to be done if we were going to be able to keep her. Kendra is amazing! After 5 weeks with Kendra, Lily has completely changed for the better! Prior to Lily’s time with Kendra, Lily was very aggressive when strangers approached and wouldn’t listen when we tried to correct her at home. She barked excessively and was chewing on my kids feet/clothes. I used to feel like I had no control over how Lily responded to anything. Kendra has not only changed Lily, she has been very helpful and informative on teaching me/our family as well. I’ve learned that teaching the dog is only part of the solution, and I feel that Kendra has now given us new insight on what we need to work on as a family. I am extremely thankful for Unleash Fido and our new friendship with Kendra. I look forward to a few more follow up sessions with her to make sure we are staying on track. If you are considering training here, do not hesitate! Kendra & their training program have been a blessing to our little Lily & our family! More...

I cannot say enough about what Unleash Fido did for our family. Over a year ago, we brought in our two rescue pit bulls (one who is aggressive towards strangers) to work on their obedience because when the dogs were excited they did pretty much did what they wanted. After 6 weeks of training, the dogs had become much more relaxed and obedient . Travis and company also did a great job of teaching us how to better communicate with our dogs to ensure long term obedience. Fast forward a year and a half and a new child and the dogs are still doing great. If it were not for Unleash Fido, we would not have been able to keep one of our dogs and would not have the family we do today. Thanks Unleash Fido! More...

Unleash Fido transformed our puppy back into the cute little ball of fur we loved! Travis, the owner and Carley, our trainer have changed our lives. Our adolescent puppy, Calliope was very fearful. This fear was expressed as aggression. She is the cutest miniature Schnoodle, who based on looks, could not hurt a stuffed toy. At 14 pounds, you'd think she could not terrify anyone. Around my wife and I, she has always been the sweetest smartest loving dog imaginable. Around everyone else, she was unholy horror unleashed. This Jekyll and Hyde routine got so bad that we considered giving her away. We loved her too much to do that and instead went through hell. Calliope would bark and lunge at strangers of either the dog or person variety. She would never get close enough to bite but put on a truly fearsome show to drive away what scared her, and at times it felt like everything scared her. We could not take her for a walk. We could not have guests over. We could not find a place that would board her. So we could not go on any trips. We tried every boarding option from posh pet hotels to vets, and all were calling us within an hour to come get her because they could not handle this 14-pound Tasmanian devil, which she became when we left her in a terrifying strange place. We tried vet behaviorists. We tried trainers. We tried positive reinforcement. We spent a ton of money on a doggie psychiatrist who was rated the best in the entire state, and drugs, lots of drugs. Calliope was on Prozac along with four other psychiatric drugs, some of which made her more aggressive. Over a ten-month period, we spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on psychiatric treatment and training, and everything failed. This cute little monster had taken control of our lives and not in a good way. In the middle of moving from Boca Raton to Jacksonville, we found Unleash Fido. Calliope spent 6 weeks with them over the summer while we moved. It was a minor miracle that they could board her for more than an hour, let alone work with her to resolve her fear issues. It was the best money we ever spent. We left Unleash Fido with our little Jekyll and Hyde and got back The Princess Bride. Calliope is now extremely happy, playful, and amazing. She is now so much more confident and walks with a prance. She no longer gets upset when the lawn crew or pool man comes by. She can walk by strangers and strange dogs without a care. She listens to every command. We are now in control instead of her. We dictate where, when, and how, and she listens. More importantly, she is thrilled to listen and obey. It gives her doggie pleasure to please us. It makes her relaxed and happy to have us in control at all times. If we tell her to go to place, she does so instantly. Her "place" is a small Persian rug. No matter the distraction, she will stay on her place for hours playing until we tell her she is free. After coming home from Unleash Fido summer camp, she has been weaned off the psychiatric pills. I suspect the pills were responsible for some of her stolen confidence, and confidence is what she needed, and confidence is what Unleash Fido gave her. She needed to lose the fear. At Unleash Fido, she made friends with a dozen strangers who worked there and countless stranger dogs. Before Unleash Fido, training was all praise and no correction. Part of the solution was both praise and correction in equal measure. I suppose the 100% lovey-dovey training that is in vogue now works for more docile or less bright dogs. It did not work for a genius puppy, which was half poodle and half schnauzer. Schnauzers are terriers, and that means they are strong-willed. Poodles are smart, almost too smart for their own good. So we have a 14-pound super-smart strong-willed puppy. The bottom line was that we were giving Calliope all praise, all the time, and not communicating "no" in a language she could understand, and turning her into a confused spoiled scared dog. She needed to hear and truly understand "no" as well as "good girl." This may sound simple, but it is far more complex than you can imagine. You need to figure out how to speak dog. We needed as much retraining as Calliope. Unleash Fido was worth every penny. If I had known the results would have been this life-changing, I would have paid twice as much! I only wish we found them sooner. As someone who has hired eight different trainers, not including the renown doggie psychiatrist, I can tell you that Unleash Fido is the absolute unchallengeable best.Sincerely,Kevin Bohaczkevinbohacz.com More...

The team, especially Ashley who trained our hound Marley did an amazing job transforming our dog. Marley is a rescue who had major anxiety, didn't listen or learn commands, pulled you everywhere, destroyed everything and anything he deemed worthy and just pushed me to the edge of hopelessness. We ended up doing the 5 week boot camp which was the best decision for Marley because not only were they able to teach simple commands but Marley was able to perform off leash too. The weekly updates were the best, definitely something to look forward to, but the transformation was very noticeable. After graduation the work doesn't stop there. As a parent you have to constantly go over all the commands they were taught but at least the outcome is more positive and workable. I could not be more pleased with the training our German Shepherd received at Unleash Fido’s Doggie Boot camp. Travis met with me and my dog Kona to evaluate her prior to the training, and detailed exactly what would occur during and after the training period. This is an investment you make in your dog that will pay dividends during the entire life of your dog, and exponentially add to the enjoyment of your relationship with your dog. People are always impressed by Kona’s ability to walk off leash throughout the neighborhood and with her calm demeanor around people and other dogs. I have also boarded Kona multiple times since her initial training, and have been extremely pleased with all aspects. Although you may be hesitant to board your dog for the amount of time required for the Doggie Boot Camp, it really is a relatively brief period of time that is well worth the increased enjoyment you will have with your dog over its lifetime. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with this company as a whole. Travis met with me on short notice, and due to personal circumstances, I was unable to have my 4-5 yr old rescue Pit Bull, Sox, with me (he was in Detroit). Travis gave a very honest review on realistic expectations and was able to give me a solid confirmation of what he would be able to do and what we would have to wait and see on. I truly appreciated the honest approach, as well as the confidence in what I could expect. They were super accommodating with taking my dog straight in the day he arrived. My dog was super dog aggressive (we believe he may have had a history of being trained in dog fighting in Detroit and had a history of attacking a dog in front of me), pulled on the leash (we would need a backpack of weights on him just to walk him and be able to control him), and was so stubborn/absent minded with listening, and God forbid we walked by another dog! Also, he hated his crate and wanted to sleep EVERYWHERE! We enrolled in the 5 week training and Carly was his trainer. She is absolutely amazing and such a pleasant person overall. We got weekly updates with photos and videos, and his acceleration in the program was jaw dropping! The day we picked him up Carly spent ample time reviewing with us and was able to truly show us how to handle him on our own (which we were nervous about). She quickly put us at ease and was super supportive with us! Sox has been doing great since being home, and you can feel a total change on walks and his listening in general. He still does not really like other dogs, but again, Travis advised us this would be the case. But now he ignores them very well, doesn't pull on the leash, and just keeps it moving. He is crate trained, and although he still isn't the biggest fan, he will go in without a battle. The biggest thing is if he does get bothered by a dog, he is WAY more manageable and I feel like I am safe, as well as the other dog and dog owner. We still have lots of work to do with cats (we have two in home), but Carly has been nothing but super supportive via text and I truly feel like we will also get him there with lots of work and patience. I love Sox with all my heart for so many reasons, and I can't thank Travis, Carly, and the rest of the Unleashed Fido team for making what we have possible. Sorry for the long post, but I really felt like I needed to write what I wanted to hear when reading reviews. Just have a realistic goals and expectation and listen to the team at Unleashed Fido. And know you will still need to put the work in. We have used their boarding for a few nights and they always do refresher training there. We have yet to do a refresher with Carly to aid in Sox's adjustment to listening to us now, but look forward to utilizing those as its most likely not Sox that needs to be refreshed, its us! :) Thank you all for giving me a solid chance to honor my Brother and keep Sox with us. ** Side note: The cost is reasonable considering all the work they put in. Unleash Fido is worth every penny!!!!!! I was very hesitant to leave my puppy for three weeks but the results have been amazing. I dropped off my 16 week old Sheepadoodle who had a STRONG herding instinct and corresponding nipping issue and three weeks later I picked up a well behaved, affectionate, sweet girl who no longer nips/bites me every time she gets the chance. Travis and his team absolutely know what they're doing and Jade is a spectacular trainer who kept me informed of my pup's progress and is continuing to work with us to make sure we reinforce at home everything she learned at Unleash Fido. I couldn't be happier with my experience or the results! Everyone who spent time with my pup before and after her stay at Unleash Fido is equally AMAZED at the progress she's made! Thank you to everyone at Unleash Fido for taking such great care of my sweet girl!!!! More...

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!

Tony did some amazing work with my American Bulldog. She was a nightmare before taking lessons. Now she's a great guard dog. Literally took her from the worst puppy I ever had to the best dog. Her basic obedience is so great. She's very protective now and can even go on walks off the leash.

If you're contemplating whether or not to go to Unleash Fido. Let me tell you, you should have called them last week!!

Travis you have a great operation going on. I'm highly recommending your business to everyone I know.

Jade changed our life. Our little white 3 year old dog lunged at cars and barked uncontrollably at people, bikes and skateboards. Garbage trucks and lawn mowers sent him over the edge. We were unable to take him on a walk or leave him by himself without him freaking out. We tried all kinds of dog classes and dog training. Nothing worked. We were really at our wits end. Then we went into Unleash Fido just for doggy day care and met Jade.

Jade was positive she could work with our dog and change his bad behaviors. She was right. Our dog stopped lunging and barking uncontrollably. He is also well-trained in come, sit, heel and stay. People can come to our door and he stays in his bed until we say free.

We did need weekly follow with Jade when he was finished with his training. We live over 3 hours away but we always felt she was right there with us. We sent her videos and texts. She responded with suggestions and coaching.

The difference this has made in our life has been remarkable. The first time I walked our dog to the mailbox I sent her video. We were all so happy. She has been a true partner in this experience and I can’t recommend her or Unleash Fido enough.

Travis was excellent and very knowledgeable. The facility was very clean. A persons Time is very valuable. So I understand the need to ask for so much. They are very willing to work with you. Unfortunately I have a large family and will not financially be able to afford these services. If I could I'm more then sure this would be a 5 star place for your pup! More...

Travis is great. He's worked with several of my dogs and has a gift for understanding not only the dogs, but their owners as well, which I've learned is very important with dog training. He's always been very upfront and honest with me and goes out of his way to answer any question I have. His new facilities are awesome, and the staff has never been anything but polite and helpful. I highly recommend Unleash Fido for training and/or boarding. More...

I wanted to take a quick minute and tell you about our experience with Unleash Fido. This summer, my family and I decided to get our first dog. We chose to get a Boxer dog who was 9 weeks old. We quickly realized that she was extremely strong for her age and was somewhat out of control with listening and behavior. After a few months, we decided to start researching a dog training facility. After thorough research, we chose Unleash Fido. Bailey stayed at the facility for 3 weeks and the results were beyond amazing!!! Truthfully, it was the best money I have ever spent in my life. She came back a completely new dog and so well trained and behaved. The love we have for our dog now is more than I could of imagined. She is the talk of the neighborhood behaving way better than I could of imagined. She walks by our side, sits and stays upon command, and stays in her 'place" until we release her. Thank you to Unleash Fido for being so professional and amazing at what you all do. The team of professionals were amazing and so insightful and communicated with us whenever we wanted to. I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND Unleash Fido to everyone who has a dog as the results will be astonishing. More...

I visited unleash fido after adopting my dog Ellie. She had separation anxiety and was a very hyper girl. The training was a life saver and worth every penny, and that's coming from a penny pincher. The day care is incredible, after a long day at work it's so nice to pick up a dog that's as worn out as you are instead of coming home to a dog bouncing off the walls. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable.  I have total confidence that every time I drop her off she will be in the best hands.  If you're considering a visit I strongly urge you to check it out. You won't be disappointed. More...

We have a beautiful, amazing 22-month old yellow lab. He is happy, friendly and loves everyone. He was also stubborn and out of control both in public and walking on a leash. We tried everything and have a library of "How To" books. Angus was embarrassing to take anywhere, and is 80 pounds of pure muscle. In desperation, we asked our vet, Blythe Waters, if she knew of any "in house" training programs. Without a second's hesitation, she said, "Unleash Fido." It was the best advice we could have gotten. Travis and his team of trainers worked magic with Angus. They pair your dog with the best trainer for your particular issues. It is not a quick fix. The parents have to be heavily involved for the program to work. If you board your dog with them, they put him back in the training program while you are gone. The "Off Leash" program is for life. If you have problems any time down the road, you can take your doggy back for a refresher course. It is not inexpensive, but it was worth every penny and more to us. Thank you Travis, Tony, Jacob and especially Chuck! More...
