This place really went above and beyond to make my dinner anniversary super special. They were able to accommodate me to an earlier time so we can make it to a comedy show. We got seated right away and was served two glass of champagne. Then we got the 3 courses menu for dinner. They cost $129 plus tax. Gramercy Tavern is a non-tipping restaurant. Hospitality Included. Fantastic food and service in a fairly relaxed atmosphere. We had lunch on a weekday and it was a good mix of business and casual diners. The food here is pretty damn good. If you're not used to New York City prices then you might freak out but all in all the locals love it. The staff is very good as well. Number one meal we had in New York! This was what I was just what I was expecting. Great selection of courses. The place was extremely busy which was a good sign of the popularity and quality we were receiving yet it did not impact on the service, only added to the atmosphere. The head waiter kept the service and standard high and did a fantastic job. The food itself was at the highest quality, well worth the money. Overall may appear slightly expensive but well worth it for the meal and with no mandatory tip tacked on at the end it puts it in line with most other restaurants prices. I attended a bridal shower at Gramercy Grill and was very pleased with the cuisine, everything was delicious (I had the scallops, duck and fantastic pudding) The reason for my review is for the service. It truly was exceptional! I accompanied the mother of the bride, who is wheel-chair bound and from entry to exit, the staff was accommodating while not being overbearing. I cannot say enough about how amazing Gramercy Tavern is. Have been on numerous occasions at this point, and it never fails to amaze me on so many levels.

Their seasonal menu is well-thought out and put together, and the food is always delicious. The flavor combinations are out of this world and are balanced perfectly. I can honestly say 3 of the top 5 meals I have ever had were here at Gramercy. Also, the cocktails are complex and delicious, and are always made with such care.

What stands out to me the most is the level of professionalism and knowledge of the staff. Any questions regarding the food or cocktails is answered with exquisite detail. On top of that, the staff here is so welcoming, engaging and friendly, and every time I visit, I feel as if I am at home. I can personally vouch for the services of the bartenders Siobhan, Ali, Victoria, and Mark, and the servers Christina and Rob.

All in all, if you are looking for an amazing overall experience, from the food, the drinks, and the exceptional service, I would highly recommend checking this place out. More...

The steak was delicious. I am a HUGE steak lover and I never had anything that good in a long time. My favorite part about the place was the design, the aura it gives off. It was beautiful. I loved it the moment I walked inside, the food was incredible, and walking out, I actually tried to walk back in but my dad made me leave. This is a special place deserving of a Michelin star. We decided to try the taster lunch menu and boy was it good. 8 course meal with perfectly paired wine. Not a fan of red wine but Gramercy Tavern managed to convince me. Try the California red wine, less talin'y than normal red, more fruity. What an incredible place. You pay what you can. You can also work for the meal if you can't pay at all. You can also work in the garden next to the restaurant where they grow most of the veggies used in the meals.

You would think the food would not be that great but that is not the case. We had chicken curry with roasted vegetables and it was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. And the veggies weren't overcooked like they usually are. More...

Went here on a Monday night for a Burger because I heard that it's a must-try. Server highly recommended it, but then came back 5 minutes later to tell me that it wasn't offered that night.
