Very good food, great atmosphere and professional service. Highly recommend that you check this place out. Also worth mentioning, the sizes are pretty generous!
This place is certainly one of the most pleasant place to eat in the area. Anytime I go there I am profoundly glad. They maintain their very high standard service and the highest level of food they give. You can never go wrong with this place. Warmly recommended. More...
The food is delicious. We enjoyed Georgian wine. We will definitely come back.
Great food. Great ambience.
Really flavorful Turkish food, presented so beautifully. Service was excellent. Nice wine selection. Loved the ambience of this restaurant -- it has a sort of Parisian boudoir vibe and they had some fantastic vocal jazz playing -- and it made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening out in Andersonville. I'm planning to return when my out-of-town friends visit Chicago. More...
This is the real deal, very authentic and the family that runs this place is wonderful!

The food was fresh and very tasty, exactly like Turkish homemade. Will definitely come again.
The lamb and the lentil soup were both great, nice space, too.
Great food, pleasant atmosphere, good service!
Very, very good food! The space is beautiful, and the service is very friendly and helpful.

A top site for delicious turkish food. The food was tasty. The service was very helpful and observant. I can see why they have a lot of great reviews.
turkish food... so fresh. Came here on a Friday I think. I had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here.
I will definitely visit again
Such an amazing menu! Delicious & moderately priced.
The place was almost empty when we arrived, only a mother and child there, no wait staff. My sister and I took a seat and waited. Eventually someone came out to give us menus. She brought out pieces of bread which had a hard crust and fluffy tender insides that went well with the olive oil. Asked about the Turkish pizza and was told they were out. Ood add the other table had it but we ordered falafel on a bed of hummus. It went quickly, both humus and falafel being top notch. My sister ordered a tilapia dish and I a ground lamb one. Entrees came with a generous portion of rice and salad. I quickly made short work of mine and my sister saved enough of hers to have lunch the next day. We ordered dessert. It was a tasty treat but it was missing the berries. Total bill was under 60 for 2 dinners, an appetizer, 2 desserts and a Turkish tea. As we left. More customers were in and what did they have as one of their appetizers? Yeah, the Turkish pizza they were out of. Food was good, service was okay and the fact they lied about the Turkish pizza and no berries on the desert was just ood. I'd go back again as they have a lot of dishes that look great. More...
Very nice, clean place, serves delicious and tasty kebab, lamb chops, tilapia dish, variety of appetizers.
Fresh and flavoful food, friendly people.
We used to live a block away from their previous location and became friends with the owner. It's been some years but the food is just as good and so was seeing our friend. Everything was delicious!
Fast service and the best food for authentic Turkish food! My husband and I really enjoyed it thanks!
We have been there only 3 times in about a month ❤ and we loved the food, atmosphere and the lovely team working there. Thank you dear Marina!!! We loved the appetizers cigar (cheese filo), eggplant and walnuts, the main dishes musaka both with meat and the vegetarian one, lamb and okra, meet balls ...... too many to list, the desert is also excellent. Airan, yogurt drink is the best we have ever had, I grew up drinking this almost every day for over 40 years, so I know what I am talking about . We are bringing one of our Spring festival nights to this restaurant on March 22nd, 2019, try to imagine how satisfied my family are with this lovely place. Thank you again Marina & your husband for having this fine restaurant!!!See you again very soon!Galia, John and Mimi Kuo More...

Excellent hydari, I have been eating here for years. Love the food, the bread is excellent and the service has always been friendly.
The new location is very good. I felt it's the best turkish food I can find in Chicago. It would be great if they add Turkish hookah in the near future.
My family, friends and I frequent here. This is my father's favorite place when he is in town. We had many birthday celebrations here and they do a wonderful service. Everyone joined dance if it was the belly dancer night. Even the shy members in my family, like my mom and my uncle would get up and dance with the dancer. This is a place full of fun, kindness and I love the bread here. More...
This place used to be on Clark and the new space is very nice. The thing that makes it great is the bread. I always get the hummus and the bread isn't like pita, it's more like bread. The Tavuk is my favorite dish. It's pieces of kebab chicken and cubes of the gteat bread all on a yogurt bed, broiled a little I think. I've never had anything but good service at this place and the food is always great. More...
My brother and I had been going to this restaurant for many years at the old location on Clark Street, and it was one of our mother's favorite places in town. Yesterday evening was our first time at the new location (sadly without mom), and we tried their special Georgian menu, and it was wonderful! Whether it's Turkish or Georgian food, this place is excellent; we'll be back soon! More...
Fantastic place great environment and lovely staff, highly recommend!
Perfect, authentic, generous tasty portions Turkish Food! If you enjoy genuine Middle-Eastern, Mediterranean cuisine - THIS IS THE PLACE to go and have it! I am a picky eater and was extremely pleased with everything we ordered. I found the food to be better than anything I have had over a 5 day stay in Istanbul last year!
Most highly recommend going as I will go back when I feel like having lots of great tasting, authentic Turkish food, which is also reasonably priced. Your taste buds and sultan like feeling in your tummy after your meal with a cup of Turkish tea, will be happy for days! More...

Food was great, very close to real Turkish food. I give it 4 stars because the first batch of bread had mold on it. They changed it of course.
This restaurant was hard to get to, but it was absolutely worth the trek. After over a year without our beloved Turkish food, this was our first time having it in the States. The food brought tears to our eyes - it was that good. I have such happy memories from living in Istanbul and they came flooding back with this meal. We spoke to the chef to let her know how special this meal was to us. Absolutely go here if you love Turkish food or are interested in learning about it. But don't expect to compliment the chef unless you can speak Turkish! More...
Excellent food. Only problem is price but the quality reflects the price and makes it still a great value. Tea is great and was served with warm fresh bread. Seriously the best food I've had Turkish or not. More...

Such delicious food! Thanks for the great service and beautiful atmosphere!
The traditional dishes and the stadard bread are superb comfort food. I highly, highly recommend the hankar bagendi and the karides guvec. Service is good too. This place is not like standard Turkish restaurants but is better for it. It's more like home cooking. My wife and I regularly travel an hour to get here and we always leave satisfied. Can't say enough good things about this place. More...
It's my favorite place
The food is out of this world. Best ekmek (bread) of any ethnic restaurant. Iskeder is too die for and the Groupon was a great deal when you can find it, but some things can't be bought using Groupon (like iskender) and the menu is marked with NC (NO COUPON) for those items. Everything has been amazing from this restaurant. More...

One of my favorite restaurants--been going for years. I really miss that it's no longer in Andersonville. The best baba ganoush in town!
