A great example of what a good neighborhood Italian restaurant is supposed to be, I'll never go anywhere else.My favs? Any of the pizzas (they make their own dough) or the linguini with clams, white sauce.Decent wine selection, with local wines too More...

Best Italian food in town or anywhere in the 50 miles I live from. Food is always amazing whether I eat in or order takeout. The staff is always friendly and food is always prepared delicious. The raviolis or the lasagna are my favorite. I eat here like twice a week. My kids love it and they have a drive through to pick up orders. So convenient. More...

We love this place so much. We recently had our friends go with us and they have not stopped asking about going again. Always delicious food, great service, and never disappointed with the atmosphere. My husband and I have gone for our anniversary, we go for birthdays, and most of the time just because. It's such a great treat for us. So glad we know about this place. More...

Trupiano's came through for me again tonight . Out of town guests with severe gluten issues. I ordered a gluten free pizza, a long with our typical meat lovers  , added the amazing antipasto salad because it too is gluten free . Our guest raved about the pizza , and the antipasto salad was a huge hit with all of our guests. Honestly, it's a meal on it own ! Everything is quality, the service is always top notch . More...

We had such a terrific dining experience on 7-23-2019 here that we couldn't wait to return to Trupiano's this past Sunday evening and also to once again to see our superb affable and very proficient server Tonya.  Why?  Since our visit we've learned that Trupiano's Italian Bistro  is a well-know and beloved name in Fallbrook.  Simply put, it's a terrific place for exceptional service, an appealing atmosphere and incredibly well-prepared food fare.As soon as we walked in the door upbeat and effervescent "Nedi" Sanchez our hostess welcomed us and promptly seated us in Tonya's section.  Beverages and the breadsticks that Trupiano's are so well known for were promptly brought to us.  Not only are the breadsticks aesthetically appealing to look at they're even better to eat.  Why?  With a golden buttery exterior and warm fluffy interior, its virtually impossible to have just one, even with the anticipation and promise of an appetite-satisfying meal ahead.  Our Italian entrees were so delicious the last time we dined her that we thought we'd also try their cauliflower encrusted pizza Trupiano's special with Pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, black olives and Canadian Bacon too.  What a terrific choice because it was one of the very best pizzas we've ever eaten anywhere and trust us throughout our many years we've gorged ourselves around the globe on a lot of 'em!  To top-off our meal we had a scrumptious Mama's tiramisu that is to die for because it's just that exceptional.  Needless to say we aren't going to be strangers any longer and we look forward to returning to this delightful Trupiano's restaurant again and again.  If for whatever reason you haven't had the opportunity and/or the pleasure of dining here we respectfully suggest that you do so at your earliest convenience!Jutta and Fred Harden IIIRancho Santa Fe, CA More...

The food is very good and if I could rate just the chefs alone it would be 5 stars. Our server was nice but she was already presumptuous and already assumed we needed a take away box when we ordered....Umm...has she seen my husband and his appetite? She was actually surprised that my husband ate it all. The hostess was not pleasant - no smile, not even a smile in her eyes, just very stoic and looked like she was looking right through us. We asked for a booth and she said it was reserved even though there wasn't a reserved tent card on the table. We've been here about 3 times already but I think it's our last time here. Last night was the first time in awhile that I've eaten here. It's hard to eat at an Italian restaurant being a low carb eater. Eating here was usually a cheat meal. I could just say this is not only the best Italian food in Fallbrook, but possibly the best in the entire area, perhaps the best I've ever had, and then leave it at that. But then it wouldn't be much of a review. My wife and I have lived in Fallbrook for over three and a half years and have enjoyed Trupiano's excellent Italian cuisine many times. I was actually surprised I hadn't written a review yet. If you're looking for great Italian food in an Italian countryside ambiance, Trupiano's is the place to go. They have a nice mixture of lighter dishes or hardy heavy dishes. I'm not big on super heavy cheesy plates, but if that is what your craving, they certainly have several to choose from, as well as, lighter no cream and light on the cheese options. The staff here is always friendly and seems like they truly appreciate the business. If you want a nice booth or table near the window, make sure to call ahead and make a reservation. Everything hear is delicious. The only critique I will mention, but not enough to reduce my score, is the repairs and maintenance of the building. It could use a little TLC. Oftentimes there are lightbulbs out, or the wrong lighting color or wattage will be used in the pendant lights or other lamps around the room. Sometimes the lighting can be a bit blinding when looking at the person across the table. Also the bathrooms and other areas could use some repair, paint, and elbow grease. All in all, this is a quaint Italian villa type restaurant with great food and service that I would recommend to anyone. Cheers! More...

We came to the area to buy some stuff, and the lady recommended some pizza places. So we googled it and this place popped up, so we decided to stop by. As we're sitting they bring us water than few minutes later our waiter comes. They brought breadsticks that were amazing! Than we placed our order. Our pizza came out, say 15 to 20 mins later. Even though we live in Oceanside, I bought a $25 Restaurant.com certificate to Trupiano's mostly as an excuse to checkout Fallbrook and surrounding areas. The town is certainly small but there is no shortage of highly rated cafes and bistros.  Trupiano's is a smallish restaurant which could use a few touch-ups (both booth seats had duct tape over what I assume were holes) but the service was friendly and they do offer a lunch menu on Saturday.  Prices are slightly cheaper during lunch and some items, like Veal Parmesan are only on the dinner menu.First off, you get an order of six breadsticks.  They are phenomenal, like "Olive Garden" breadsticks phenomenal.  They do have a kids menu (I forgot to take a pic sorry), which includes a drink...all for $7.  On the kids menu was mac n' cheese, buttered noodles, spaghetti, chicken fingers, plus a couple of more items.  Portions are on the smaller side so if you have a "big" child, I would pick off the regular menu.We ordered: * Tortellini al Pesto (regular menu) * Ravioli (kids) * Penne Rustico (for me) * Ravioli Ripieni (regular) * Fat Tire, Pinot Noir (adults) * Shirley Temple, Lemonade (kids) * TiramisuOverall, the food was great.  The regular lunch portion was a decent size (the breadsticks are quite large, so they'll fill your bell and almost guarantee leftovers). After the certificate was applied, our final post-tax bill was under $40.  We most definitely will return for dinner next time ;) More...

A friend brought me here while I was visiting the area and I enjoyed it. I got the Alfredo with shrimp and it was delightful. The sauce had something special to it- not plain like most places. The restaurant was on the smaller side but felt homey and intimate.Staff was very friendly. My only down side and why I gave 4 stars is because the waitress took forever to even come to our side of the room. We had to stop a busboy around 10 minuted after we were seated just to ask for water. The waitress did however notice a larger group that came in after us. After we ordered though the waitress was more attentive. I hope to visit again on my next visit to the area just for that Alfredo :) More...

There is an amazing white-haired waitress (I don't know her name unfortunately) that is simply the best. A couple times I have asked for a surprise order, and she is always gracious about it and every single thing she has brought has been delicious. Thank you so much!

What can I say, I love this place.  Def the spot for the local and visitor alike. The food here is excellent! Always a good experience warm and welcoming environment.  I could just fill up on bread sticks and the balsamic oil blend alone, but then Id miss out on all the great this place has to offer. We made the mistake last week of trying the new MountainMikes pizza that opened up, walked out of there with our money back. I was telling a fellow patron that we where we were headed to Trupiano's that makes a really awesome well priced pie. As we sat at our table, that same patron walked in not 5 minutes later. I love supporting local and love to encourage people to do the same, This great town doesn't need more chain restaurants, we need unique home grown places such as this. Cheers! More...

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!  They remembered us from a year ago - can you believe it!  We passed through while my husband was doing his 500 mile bicycle ride around California - this was one of our favorite stops on the route -   It was like seeing old friends - ambience is so warm and inviting, the water is crisp and fresh and filtered (sounds silly to mention the water quality, but my husband had 5 glasses and he NEVER drinks water) - had a wonderful glass of Malbec for only $7 - duo ravioli was superb, husband's farfalle with chicken (excellent) - the whole experience is just superb - it's one of our favorite places in the world.  Prices are extremely reasonable - and the service is also wonderful.  cannot praise it enough! I've been going here for 4 years.  It isn't the best Italian food so put that out of your mind.  But they have an extensive menu, quality and taste are consistently good, and they are open every day.  They deserve a 4 Star rating.Their Penne Rustico is my favorite, albeit a little salty due to the prosciutto.  On the milder side is a very good Mannicotti (the sauce is killer - do they use San Marzano tomato?).  Don't bother with their wine.  Selection is of poor quality chuck wines (surprising since owner also has the D'Vino Wine Bar too). Delicious high-quality dishes, delivered with great service, From the moment you walk in the door, the interior is impressively homely. Service hands were quick to respond to our arrival and take us to our table. The waiter was also spot on with his recommendations. As the Penne Rustico (Chicken, Shrimp, Prosciutto, Toasted Romano) was incredibly good. The fried calamari hit the spot, and oh man, what a tasty fresh sauce it comes with.Everything here is made fresh, and the bread served is a testament as to how far they go for the little things. As it comes freshly baked and spiced. Unfortunately, I can't recall my girlfriends dish, but I do remember it was equally well-made.All in all, this is a solid place to eat a delicious, and well priced, meal. We love Trupiano's and the Trupiano family. The food is great. We have been going for a few years now, and it just gets better and better. Tonight it was Orichiette with Lobster sauce and shrimp, portugese sausage and chicken pasta (both are award winning dishes), fried mozzarella, pizza (awesome as usual) for one kid and penne and cheese for the other, and a beer from the tap menu who's name escapes me. It was all wonderful with superb service. We called ahead as we usually do and had no trouble getting a late-ish table. I have never had a bad experience here, wether take out or eat in, snacks and drinks, big family dinners or a date with the wife, it's always great. On a personal note, Faro Trupiano himself once opened up early to make 3 pizzas and deliver them to my son's school for a little party. We've welcomed Faro Trupiano to Fallbrook since the day he arrived and opened his Trupiano's Italian Bistro. Excellent Italian food in a restful atmosphere. We knew that they did catering although never availed ourselves of the opportunity until yesterday when we held a celebration of life for our dear, departed mother at our Fallbrook home for a small group of sixteen people. Whatever could go wrong - didn't. Faro was right on time and had every delicious item neatly packed and he and his lovely lady when right to work setting it all up. My wife is a gourmet chef and knows food. She was able to relax a bit as Faro briefly took over her kitchen to set up the Italian feast he prepared for our guests. We went here the first time for my son's birthday and I really try not to eat Italian food; however, this place is the real deal and we discovered that they have the most amazing hand tossed pizza.  On my first visit, I couldn't decide so I split Filet Marsala and a cheese hand tossed pizza and was blown away.  They also offer gluten free options which are pretty good for gluten free.  Their sauce is perfect and they use real cheese -- I had almost forgotten what that tasted like because most pizza places use some type of blend that only partially resembles the real cheese I grew up with.  It has made me fall in love with pizza all over again.  I think that's a good thing (ha) More...

I'm pregnant and had a craving for Italian food so my boyfriend and I looked up some reviews for this place and thank goodness we did because the food was absolutely delicious! First we pull up and the sign light was off so we figured it was closed. We look down and it was 8:59pm so we assume we just missed it, but me being pregnant and wanting my Italian food I send my boyfriend to go see if the door was open and if they'd take us in anyways (crossing my fingers and hoping since some people we already inside still they'd let us in). I was happy to see my boyfriend give me the signal that we were good to go and come on in. We sit down and look through the menu quick since they were nice enough to take us in we should be kind and hurry to order, even though the waitress wasn't rushing us at all. We started with calamari and it was just perfect! For our main dishes we ordered the Parmesan crusted pork chop and the shrimp lobster cream sauce pasta (can't remember the exact name) and both dishes were just amazinggggg!! Food came out hot and tasting like they were made with the best ingredients and full of love! Should have written this review last year at this time, but hey we were a little busy getting married. =) We did our rehearsal dinner here a few nights before the big day and my mother in law coordinated the whole thing. Just to comment quickly on that whole experience - she said it went incredibly smoothly and she had good communication with the manager through the process. We ever got personalized menus that we could take home which we loved. The food was great. We did revisit this place for our first anniversary recently so here goes a more updated review for a "regular" restaurant experience. Location: Located on what is pretty much the main drag in Fallbrook, Trupiano's is a little, somewhat plain building on a corner. It does have a parking lot attached and there always seems to be plenty. The sign is a little small, so make sure you slow down so you don't pass it up! Service: We have had great service every time we have visited this place including the most recent visit. I would have to be hyper-critical to find a thing to harp on so I won't. Food comes out hot and quick and VERY large portions. This last time we actually ended up ordering an entree to share and the waitress was great about splitting the order for us prior to bringing it out. Love it. Food: Italian food. All the italian food you could possibly think of and then some. I'm a sucker for spaghetti and meatballs so that is what I normally get, but the sauce that comes with it...YUM. I'm not one of those people who likes everything soaked in sauce, but here, its more than okay. We also tried the corn chowder, which I believe was the soup of the day and it was delicious. We ate it despite the fact that it was 90 degrees outside and there was no AC (only minor complaint - if its hot, it is VERY hot inside). You also get a generous order of fresh breadsticks coated in butter every time. I don't think I need to elaborate on that. Overall: Great little place for Italian if you are ever passing through this area... More...

It's not about the aesthetics.  I had to try this place.  Been here in Fallbrook almost 2 years now and wanted to see for myself.  Wow!  It is a little dated but cozy, low light at night and huge tables and booths.  I ordered the Chicken breast Griglia with spinach, mushrooms, red onions.  It was that good.  Fresh sauteed vegetables, zucchini and carrots.  It was fresh, not out of a can but fresh.  I also had the Caesar salad with grilled salmon.  They cooked the salmon to perfection and the salad had just the right amount of dressing, not too wet and not too dry.  Perfect.  I highly recommend this place.  It only took one stop for dinner to write this review.  I will definitely go back and try something else.  In Fallbrook, not too many places cook fresh food.  This place is excellent. A very quaint and homey Italian restaurant. The staff are very nice. The food is a little overpriced but excellent, especially the bread! The fettuccine alfredo is very rich so watch out. My favorite dish of theirs is by far the gnocchi. My boyfriend and I went there for valentines day last year and it was an amazing night. I definitely recommend it. More...

We celebrated my parents anniversary here and it was just perfect! The eggplant parm was really good.  The calzone is HUGE so be prepared to have leftovers.  The tiramisu was light and scrumptious!  It's a quaint, cozy little place that is perfect for a nice Italian meal.  The only down side is the front of the restaraunt is a wreck.  If I was driving by and didn't know that the food was good I probably wouldn't go in More...

Husband and I are new to the area (lived in San Diego for 20 years and have eaten our way through great Italian restaurants and, yes, we are food snobs).  Our neighbors invited us to try their favorite Italian place -- Trupianos.  I was hesitant (to say the least) about this place.  But the blase exterior and the homey interior belie the sophisticated food that is being served here.  I almost rolled my eyes when my neighbors raved out the free garlicky breadsticks (I thought to myself, Oh great, we are going to eat at an Olive Garden wannabe). [Warning:  these breadsticks are pure evil -- you can't stop eating them.]  They are crispy and buttery garlicky on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside.  They are served with a plate of balsamic and olive oil.  OMG.  My inner monologue was repeating "OK, so their breadsticks are the best I have ever had.  Let's see if they can make pasta and other stuff."   Simply put, they can and they do.    I had the cavatappi and was blown away.  The dish was perfectly balanced in terms of flavors and the pasta was perfectly cooked.  The portion was very generous and loaded with artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes and shrimp -- the shrimp were prepared in a way so that they mimicked the shape of the cavatappi pasta.  Brilliant.  Hubby had the crespelle (crepes) which were delicious.   There is a small but decent wine list.  We ordered a bottle of Robert Renzoni, which went perfectly we our food.  We are going back and will sample some of the other menu items.  Bottom line - don't judge a book by its cover. My fiancée and I are relatively new to the area of Fallbrook and just move here. The town is so small that being a foodie might seem to be at a disadvantage here; but I could not have been so wrong. While dining options might be limited here, there are a few gems amongst the bunch and one of them is this establishment. Trupianos excels where other Italian chain restaurants fail to please. Being locally owned and operated and this means you'll always see familiar faces and will receive personalized service from their staff. After a few visits, you're now a regular and the staff now ask you for "your usual". They are also very flexible in their menu, allowing customers to be able to swap-up items together for "customized" meals. They even have a gluten-free section! The decor here is very homey and authentic and the entire establishment, including the restrooms, are spotless. A cozy ambiance, with friendly staff that almost feels like family and great Italian food is what this place is all about! More...

I have been to their Oceanside location years ago and since I was in town dog-sitting for my sister I decided to meet my other sister here for dinner.  They have an excellent menu, offering gluten-free dishes as well.  They serve excellent bread sticks with a dipping sauce while you're waiting; I had their Baked Ziti and it was excellent, we also ordered garlic bread...I'm a huge garlic bread fan so I feel I can rate honestly.  It was on French bread with cheese melted over it...it was good but not the greatest.  I prefer authentic buttery, garlic bread without the melted cheese and very garlicky.  For dessert we had the Tiramasu and Cannolis, again, not the best but tasty and I would order again. As for the service, it was a Tuesday night and extremely busy, I was quite surprised.  This is the reason they got 4 stars, they don't prioritize their patrons very well, we were one of the first to be seated early on and they had taken other orders ahead of ours, it was a bit of a wait for our food which didn't bother us because we weren't in a huge hurry, we were done with our food for a good 20 minutes before anyone came to take our plates away and ask if we wanted anything else, again, others plates were taken away that were served after us.  Not a huge deal, unless you've got somewhere else to go...just not too professional.  I would definitely go back again as my Baked Ziti was very good! We are SO glad we picked Trupiano's Italian Bistro for our Rehearsal Dinner. Faro the owner was so great to us. He took the time to meet with us on several occasions in order to help us select our menu. We had a private menu for our quests to choose from (all of which selections we got to sample before hand). The quality of service and food were amazing. All of our guest kept saying how good their food was. Trupiano's is no "Olive Garden", the food here is authentic! We definitely want to find time in the future to come back to Trupiano's for dinner! It's worth it! It's also really close to the Grand Tradition Estate where we had our wedding rehearsal. It may take a day or two to receive a response when corresponding in email, but this restaurant is worth the wait. More...

Hot double plated dish of italian chips topped with (pulled pork?), tomatoes, fresh basil, and bechamel sauce. Blew our minds. He ordered the Fettucine Pescatore: Calamari, Shrimp, Scallops, Green Lip Mussels in a tomato cream sauce with fettucine. I got the Penne Caprese but with angel hair pasta instead. We eat out around 4-5 days a week.  Sometimes 7. We are busy and we have this thing where we would rather spend time WITH one another eating food than cooking it and cleaning it all up.  Problem with this? Well, we live in a town called Fallbrook and, as much as we love our lil' town, we are limited in our choice of eateries. Even with what there is to offer, we eat at Trupiano's (either dine in or take out) about 2 days a week. The week we moved to Fallbrook, we found Trupiano's (we call it Troops).  It was good, and maybe just OK.  We quit going because all of it's dishes seemed to be over-cheesed and loaded with just lots of heavy cream and salt.  A couple of years ago, I gave it another chance and much had changed.  They must have gotten another chef or something.  It is not super fast service, but I don't care.  The food is so good to me that I just don't care.  Good food cannot be made at lightening fast speed and I don't expect that when I go to dinner. Everything I eat here is really, truly good. What is good to eat? Well, this place has the best marinara sauce I have ever put in my mouth.  I never even liked marinara sauce that much before.  I think I could just eat it like soup. Some nights, we just go by and pick up a hot jar of sauce and put it over our pasta at home.  The owner, Faro, holds this recipe close to his heart and won't part with it - I've tried. More...

We held our wedding dinner at Trupiano's and I am so glad we did.  From the beginning, we knew that we did not want all the typical traditions of normal wedding receptions.  We wanted to feed everyone great food, have solid drinks and enjoy a semi-casual dinner with our close family and friends.  We had about 45 people and Faro closed the restaurant for us.  My main goal was to have great food that our guests would talk about even after the wedding.  Faro and his crew blew everyone away.  I still have people telling me, almost 1 month later, about how amazing the food was and their favorite parts of the meal.  The stars of the buffet dinner were the coconut shrimp, farfalle pasta, tri-tip w/avocado chimichurri sauce and the raspberry cheesecake.  They were also very flexible with special requests.  We had a few picky kids that were able to get chicken tenders or mac-n-cheese and a vegetarian that ended up being full and satisfied.  The service was also spot-on and we could not have asked for a better location for our wedding dinner.  If you are in the area for lunch/dinner or looking for someone to cater an event, Trupiano's is definitely the way to go. We love, love, love Trupianos! Although I do agree with many of the previous reviews that mention the slow service. It's not bad, just slow.  However, once this place becomes a favorite for you, too, the wait becomes part of the experience. The wait can begin from the time you get there, to when you finally get a table, and you can always count on slow-going once seated, until your bill is finally closed. Just plan on it.The wait is worth it though, and the staff is always friendly -- and always the same. It's like a family there -- the same four or five folks doing all the work. They really do have a system for what they do. It just takes a while when the place is busy. But of course its busy. The food is fab! Pretty much everything we've tried we've been happy with. You will love the hot from the oven breadstick, which are to die for -- and don't leave without the creme brulee. A must!Reservations can be made and I would highly suggest. More...

Very good food :) last time I was there I asked about the pasta being made in-house and the owner was friendly and responded no but informed me of the high quality pasta they use and that most everything else there was made on site. Definitely try the penne rustica if you're up for it, it is all very delicious. The service is a little on the slow side but bring a friend and chat and the breadsticks and food will make up for it :) More...

We drive here every once in a while because the food is just so delicious! The people are very friendly and make you feel like family. The only downside is that the service is a little slow. They bring lots of fresh bread to keep you from starving before your meal comes. More...

We love it!  Been here several times, and have been so happy with the food and service.  Everyone from the busers to the wait staff to the owners are very nice and welcoming.  We recently moved from Winchester, and were sad we would not be as close to Rustico.  On our first visit, we found that the owners of Trupianos and Rustico are related.  As much as I love Rustico, I think Trupianos is better.  The bread sticks are great, fresh out of the oven with melted butter.  The different pasta dishes I've had are VERY good.  The pizza is very good too.  Good wine and beer selection also.  We are so happy we found a new favorite. When I first visit a new Italian restaurant my usual m.o. is to try out the spaghetti and meatballs plate.  It's a staple of mine.  It's also something of a bench mark for me since if a place cannot make a decent spaghetti and meatballs, there's not much hope they can make something a bit more sophisticated.  However, when I came to Trupiano's the first time something drew my eye to Linguine Volgare, with its fresh clams and appealing red sauce.I'm glad I switched up the way I operate because that was one of the best linguines I've ever had.  The pasta was perfect.  The clams were divine, tasting almost ocean-fresh even though we were several miles inland.   And the sauce was a light, yet tart, marinara that was the perfect consistency that never drowned out the flavors.Trupiano's is a little gem in a little town that I may have to consider driving down more often for. The setting is wonderful, breadsticks are good, speedy food, but here is my complaint. Having 3 servers is better than none, but when it came time to pay the bill, the hostess brought the bill, not the person who took our order. Each person passed us on different occasions & did not pick up the book. We had it at the end of the table, standing up. My fiancé ended up handing it to the lady who had done the most serving and she said "your server will pick it up". Well who was the server We said will u please just give it to then because they've walked by twice now. The place is small, but there were only 4 tables & everyone had finished eating so what was the big deal? We spent more time waiting for change than we spent eating our food. I would say the food was good but I wasn't actually a fan of what I ordered. I don't blame the cook, I had something similar at cheesecake factory & didn't care for it, but thought maybe the recipe was different & may like it this time around. Not every cookie tastes the same, ya know? I will def come back again & order something different. Hopefully a different way of serving will take shape.Well, I have eaten there 3 times now, and the service has gotten better. Food is wonderful. Must come and try for yourself! More...

These people and their food rock. Three of us wandered in there at the height of dinner hour while they were very crowded on mother's day, and they were nice enough to find seating for us. The food was absolutely divine. From the long soft bread sticks which we couldn't get in our mouths fast enough, to the eggplant, to the meat balls, to the pasta primavera--it was all perfect. Even when the owner whispered in my ear that the food (we were starving) would be out in 45 seconds and it wasn't--he was sweet and you just couldn't ding him for it. If this restaurant were in my town I would be a regular! More...

LOVED this place for my birthday dinner.  The service was on point and the staff is super friendly.  It was kinda crowded and so we just grabbed a seat at the bar and iate there.  We had the Trio which was the bomb, lasagna, ravioli and chicken parmesan.  Also had the pizza which was really good.  The wine was awesome and they gave me a yummy cake to take home cuz we were so stuffed!  It's nice to find a great restaurant when you're outta town.  GPS led us the wrong way, so make sure you map it out first.  It's near a Cold Stone Creamery and McDonalds. Great customer service.  Very dependable and consistently good food.  We usually get take out, they have yet to make a mistake and we have called them on the busiest of holidays.  Not many Fallbrook restaurants are willing to to do last minute take out on a busy holiday- let alone get it right. Excellent dinner for 4.  It was our first time here, and I have a habit of  having the Veal Parmigiana the first time at an Italian Restaurant.  It was very good.   The Red Velvet Cake for desert along with my Mocha was excellent.   The pesto made my wife smile.  She said, we'll be back.  The staff was very attentive and helpful.  We had reservations for 6 and the place was not packed but a half hour later it was filling up and by the time we left it was full.   It is definitely a favorite with many. After reading the previous reviews, my family decided to give this place a try. You definitely have to give this place a try.  We went here a few months ago and just LOVED it.  We only found out about it through Restaurant.com.  We liked it so much that when we saw another Trupianos in Oceanside, we thought it would be just as good...but the food just wasn't as good.  I'd definitely go here again. Wow. The food provided by Faro was absolutely AMAZING. Everyone loved it. No question that this is some of the best Italian food (and we even had a buffet) you will ever have the pleasure to eat. Not only was the food delicious, but also Faro was very flexible, listened to me, kept in contact with me, and just did everything he could to ensure that his catering would turn out just the way I wanted it to. Also the tasting was really fun (not to mention mouth-watering). Overall, I completely recommend Trupiano's Italian Bistro for any catering you might need. More...

This place rocks.  Faro the owner is one sexy beast.  and his food rocks my socks off.  Try all of his award winning food.  I live in Chula Vista and I will still drive up there.  I had Toscana Farfale and it was super duper good.  Seriously, the food is incredible. Plus it is actually a cute place nestled in the the heart of Fallbrook. Go there you wont be disappointed. More...

Trupianos is authentic Italian at it's best.  They have a full wine list with an excellent house cab.  You can either sit down at a table or enjoy their full featured wine bar.  Their food is excellent. I would recommend the chcken parmasean sandwich for lunch or the lasagna for dinner.  The chicken parm sandwich is served with marinera for dipping and comes in generous portions with fries.  The lasagna is meaty, cheasy, and yummy.   Great place to take a date.  If you are ever in Fallbrook, this is the place to go.  The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. I recently discovered this place, and, after having zero expectations, I have been back every week since I did. As an east coast Italian, I'm always searching for decent Italian food. This place just knocked Vigiluccis off the top spot on my list. Despite a rather extensive menu, I have ordered the same thing each time...some kinda crepe thing that won some food award in 2007. I feel bad for not trying other things, but it's THAT good. In fact, I've brought two couples up there so far, and each time somone ordered it based on my recommendation, and each time they were beyond happy. Their breadsticks are so good that I'll just assume their pizza is, and I'm actually gonna go verify that tonight.Update: I'm removing a star for lousy service. I ordered a bottle of beer as soon as I sat down, poured it into a glass, and the bottle stayed on the table for the rest of the night. Even through desert. My wife & I even started making a game of it...putting the bottle where it would be in the way when they brought food/etc. They'd move the bottle out of the way, but never think to pick it up. I'd put it so it was only 1/2 way on the table, ready to fall off, and they'd move it back on. At the end of the night I put the check on top of the empty bottle. Ridiculous. The pizza was good. Not like Basic, but a step up from normal SoCal stuff. However, like a lot of places (I just don't get this), there was hardly any sauce on it. So, if I get it again (if I'm gonna drive that far for pizza I'd probably just go to Urbn) I'd order it with extra sauce.Update #2: Had the crepes again yesterday. The food is outstanding, but the service keeps getting worse. So what do you do? More...

Fallbrook seems like the most unlikely place for Trupiano's. A town on the border of North County and East County. When you walk in the lighting is dim but not too dark. It's not a big place and has a small nice looking wine bar near the back. Too bad I don't touch the stuff. It defiantly feels more upscale the the prices are. Whatever you end up getting, you will have the best bread sticks anywhere. Shaped like a mini baguette with the perfect amount of garlic. Warning: It took me several times to resist the urge to eat the bread stick and spoil my appetite. My favorite is the Pene Vodka. Penne in a orange Vodka sauce with grilled chicken and chopped bell peppers. The Garlic Parmesan is outstanding,  as is the pesto sauce. It's all great basically. You can't go wrong. The service is fast and friendly and the owner (whose name escapes me) is always helping out and talking with everyone. This place has a very strong customer base. This concludes my first Yelp review ever. I think it went well. More...
