Harper is an anxious pup who gets very nervous around new people especially when they were entering into our home. William has been helping us teach Harper what to do in situations to not get nervous and to listen to us when she is unsure what to do. We have had a few different trainers and have not had much success. In only a few sessions with William we have already seen great improvements!!! We've so appreciated the help that William has provided since bringing home our Sheepadoodle puppy a month ago. Rosie, our 10 year old Lakeland terrier, is very particular when it comes to interacting with other dogs. Though we intended for this puppy to be her companion, we became anxious that Rosie would exhibit territorial behavior and scare or hurt the puppy. William did an amazing job with helping Madison, our Schnoodle, transition from a house in the suburbs to apartment living in NYC. He is dedicated, well-informed about dog behavior, but most of all was patient and made sure we were taught how we needed to take control and redirect her energy. Barking is no longer an issue. William is amazing. Our dog had some behavioral issues and had bitten two dog walkers! Gulp. He showed us how to modify our behavior so that our sweet pup felt safe and in a very short time our fur baby was almost back to the loving puppy we knew and love. "My one-year-old corgi, which I'd had since she was two months old, suddenly developed some serious behavior problems just after her first year. She was unwilling to walk on a leash; corgis are not only much stronger than their size, but they are extremely headstrong, and she would alternatively dig in her feet, lie on the pavement, and even roll over on her back and dare me to drag her.Walking with her had become such a consistent trial, three times a day, every day, that I was at the point of seriously considering placing her in another home. I was directed to William, and, in essence, he gave me back my dog and our relationship. In only three sessions, spaced out over about a month, I was able to reassert control over the dog. William was extremely patient, both with her and with me. He has a myriad of different techniques and approaches, depending on the dog, the owner, and the situation, and above all, your goals, which he helped to establish for us, are his goals.One example, after the first lesson, she disappeared behind a row of hedges and led me a merry - to her - chase to find her. When I discussed this with William on the next session, rather than just dealing with it quote “theoretically” or in the abstract, we walked together to the part of the park - exactly where she disappeared - and went through training on that very spot.I bump into William frequently, and he's always more than open to listen and give advice. My approach to finding solutions that work for you, your lifestyle, and your dog are based in teaching you habit-forming training techniques which your dog can understand.
I've trained and rode show jumpers, dressage and hunters (horses) at the highest level, re-trained and rehabilitated off the track racehorses for a second chance in life, trained children and families to compete at A-rated competition events, and trained a large variety of dogs as companions in advanced obedience.
Along with my companion Troubles, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever who needed a change in his life, we provide training services from puppies who need a good start to adult dogs with specific problems like, aggression, behavior issues in the park, recall, fear of strangers, and other puzzling behaviors.

What inspired you to start your own business?
I was a professional show jumping and dressage rider well into my thirties at the highest levels. When you work with horses , you learn a lot about teaching people how to do things that you've trained the horse to do. Along the way i always had a higly trained dog by my side and worked with the most renowned trainers and veterinarians.
Three years ago Troubles was gifted to me by Vivian Marchetti & Victoria Mayers, his breeders in Rhode Island after he became a bit too aggressive to be part of their pack. My 12-year-old, track-bred, Jack Russell, "Ripley", had recently lost her wheelchair-bound dachshund sidekick and needed a companion. She picked him, and they were inseparable until her death in 2015. Now I'm his sidekick.
During his rehabilitation into a NYC Service Dog, who can ride crowded subways, buses, deal with loud noises and stay focused. People often ask how did we achieve this? And several asked for my help. Now I work privately teaching families how to live better with their dogs and training dogs on how to understand their families.
