Tropical Dog Training

We have had a wonderful experience with Tropical Dog Training. Steve came to my home to work with me and my French Bulldog puppy on general obedience training. It was very obvious from the very first visit that he is highly skilled and knowledgeable of animal behavior. My dog was very comfortable with him and responded so well to the training. I found Steve (Tropical Dog Training) after calling a few places and wasn?t sure about the which one to choose. I had the option to go for a less expensive 4-class package or a more personalized unlimited experience with Steve. I decided to go with Steve as he provided a sense of tranquility and patience *** needed. It was no surprise to me when he converted *** into a obedient girl and taught me how to provide her with the direction and leadership that was lacking. His technique was excellent and his ongoing availability complemented the lessons. Where do I start?! I can not express my gratitude for Steve Cohen and Tropical Dog Training of Florida. We purchased a Bull Terrier puppy and we were experiencing a difficult time from day one. We contacted Steve and made arrangements to visit the training site. It is a beautiful , well maintained, spacious , air conditioned kennel with acres of land for your pet to play and learn. We made arrangements then for Max to attend after he had all his shots. This was several weeks away and the problems continued. We were reassured by the breeder and this was typical "Bully" behavior. I felt like a failure! I could not get this puppy to do anything! The day came for Steve to come to our home and pick Max up. While bringing him to his van he noticed that Max's eyes did not constrict/dilate in the sun. Steve stopped 1/2 back to let Max get a walk and noticed Max could not coordinate the curbs. I received a call from Steve the next morning. There was something very wrong with Max. Not only was he genuinely concerned for Max's well-being, but he was concerned for ours as well. He took the time to board Max for days, have his vet look at him and take Max to a neurologist for an evaluation. Sadly, Max should never have been sold and is a very neurologically damaged puppy who is almost completely blind and deaf! His behavior was cause by these ailments and needed to be returned to the breeder. Steve went out of his way and returned Max to the low life breeder himself. Eventually we will get another puppy but it will be from someone Steve recommends!!! We can not thank him enough! He came recommend to us and we sure would recommend him and Tropical Dog Training to every dog owner! More...

Steve's techniques are hands-down brilliant. He is so patient with both the dogs and the folks he is training to handle them. Steve did with our 2 German Shepherds in one session what other our previous trainer failed to do in months. The difference?  Steve's specialized training techniques based on his animal behavior studies. Steve and his organization are fantastic! We sent our 5 month old Golden Retriever, Maisy, to him for a 3 week board and train. We were planning a trip to the Bahamas and we wanted to make sure she would be able to follow some basic commands. She came back a different dog, obediant and followed all commands. We were so pleased that our daughter from LA decided to send her dog Riggins to him also for behavior training. We would highly recommend Steve and Tropical Dog Training. More...

Steve came and trained us to control our VERY active lab mix dog. Before training we were ready to send "Connor" back to Rescue. After 4 visits he is now a calm, cuddle, loving pet. Wonderful organization I enrolled my 4 month old Australian Shepard into their 3 week program they picked up an unruly puppy we couldn't do a thing with a returned us a fun loving eager to please pup. She is so secure in herself now understanding whats expected of her. Thank you! More...
