I’ve been working with Brittney for the past few months and it has been the most powerful, liberating, transformative time period of my entire life. I can honestly say she is the best personal trainer. I’ve struggled with weight issues since I was a child; at my heaviest I was 180 lbs during my adolescent years, and eventually got to my thinnest at 130 lbs as a teen. This pattern of yo-yo dieting followed me throughout high school and college, and has since been the cause of much frustration and confusion about my body; I had no idea how to eat healthy or figure out what makes my body function optimally. I also was never really a fan of intense exercise. Brittney has helped me with all of this. I came to her at 148 lbs and she has helped me lose over 20 lbs (and counting) over the course of 5 months and keep it off (which in my opinion, is the hardest part). She has not only helped me to reach all of my personal fitness goals, including building a nice butt and building the stamina to be able to run on hikes, (and made it super fun while doing so), but also has inspired me to create new goals constantly. I now plan on training for a triathlon in the near future. And all of this is just the physical aspect of her training. Brittney knows SO MUCH about food and nutrition, which has always been my downfall. As I mentioned, I have always struggled with this, so being able to have someone to guide and teach me about my individual dietary needs has been so incredible and extremely beneficial. I now know what foods my body thrives on, and which ones it does not need. I now have the knowledge to be able to lose or maintain weight for the rest of my life, and that is priceless. Brittney is so good at what she does, and there’s a reason for that–passion. She is super passionate about her work and her clients. You can tell that everything she does, she does with so much fire; you can’t help but feel that way too whenever you’re around her. She goes above and beyond the typical “trainer”, as well. She has taken a range of science-based nutrition classes at UCLA in addition to her multiple certifications for personal training. She is more than a trainer– she is a mentor, a life coach, a wonderful, amazing friend who needs to be in your life. And while I've learned so much about fitness and nutrition, reached and broke through my goal weight, gained muscle and curves in all the right places through Brittney, the most invaluable thing I’ve learned from her is the importance of inner strength. She has helped me to cultivate an inner power and confidence without even realizing it. Every session empowered me and inspired me to be better in all aspects of my life. This has been the best investment I've ever made, hands down. There is nothing more important in life than being healthy and happy, and Brittney has allowed me to achieve this. Brittney is the best trainer ever!! I owe all of my acl surgery recovery to her. Brittney got me in even better shape then I was before and managed to regain all the muscle in my leg in just 6 months of recovery time. I have been seeing Larry for roughly a year now and I can't overemphasize how great it has been for me and the level of results I've been able to see. Larry has a great deal of knowledge not only when it comes to training, but he also knows a ton about nutrition. I think at any given time he is always the nerdiest person in the gym- his knowledge of physiology and nutrition is very extensive. I tend to ask a ton of questions about our workouts and he always has the answers. He is extremely easy to get along with and it's obvious how much he really cares about his clients. He caters to your specific needs and works with tenacity to help you reach your goals. I'm about to move to a different state and although I'm sad I won't get to see larry anymore he will still be working with me to develop routines. A truly fantastic trainer- I highly recommend him. Larry is an incredible personal trainer. I've been with Larry for about 6 years now and I am in the best shape of my life thanks to him. Larry has been my trainer for more than 10 years and I see many other trainers every time I work out with him and there is no doubt Larry is about the best available. He as worked on different goals for me at different times. Weight loss worked great and he has helped maintain the goal weight I set. Muscle mass and strength training goals have also been achieved. Larry rocks! He transformed my Dad-Bod in only 2 months, and got me back to my College body in that short period of time. Hes a great trainer in, and out of the gym. He actually sincerely cares about you, and focuses on your individual goals. He's taught me so much about exercise, but he's also schooled me about overall health, diet, nutrition, etc. I can honestly say he's taught me things that will be beneficial to me and my health, for the rest of my life. Larry Cook is the best there is! I have been competitively bodybuilding for the past 2 years. I have worked with two other personal trainers to help me reach my weight loss and muscle gain goals. But it is really in the past 7 months working with Larry that i have learned the most about muscle gain and fat loss. The only regret which I have after I started to train with Larry, is that I did not discover his services even earlier... I have been going though various types of training with him - weight training to gain some more muscle as well as variety of cardio sessions to shake off the fat. Larry ensures that an individual approach is applied to your case, and that it all works towards your personal goals and considering in which condition you are at the moment. For example I have been dislocating my shoulder a couple of times in the past while snowboarding, so I was not comfortable performing some weight lifting exercises (specifically shoulder-related) fearing the injury. Thanks to Larry I feel much more confident with what I would not even attempt to do before, not to mention I feel better now dealing with heavier weights, which is important for successful workout. What I especially appreciate is that while training with Larry I also have a chance to get more educated about variety of exercises and nutrition practices, which in turn motivates me even more, because I like when I understand how things work as opposed to blindly follow checklists. I also enjoyed that his nutrition and training guidelines do not get over complicated, but instead they are rather practical and easy to follow. I highly reccomend Larry Cook as a personal trainer. I'm a professional dancer, choreographer and fitness instructor and wanted to tone my body up and loose fat. I wanted a new image and wanted to increase my chances of getting callbacks at auditions. I have a very busy schedule and I'm tired the majority of the time. Therefore, I knew I wouldn't go to the gym and eat right if I didn't have someone who would hold me accountable for my eating habits and push me to workout (especially when I'd rather sleep in on an early morning!). Thus, with this motivation in mind I started my search for a personal trainer. My first step in finding a personal trainer was "googling," personal trainers in Woodland Hills. Lo be hold he came up highly reccomended. I called him, had a meeting, started his program and lost 39 pounds with his guidance and encouragement. It was an amazing experience and helped me not just loose weight but also learn about nutrition. It's been a lifestyle change and I've been able to continue with the structure he introduced me to in regards to cardio, weight lifting and healthy eating. I was noticing that I put on a little extra weight, and needed the extra push to get back into shape and motivated. I'm glad that I went to Larry as my personal trainer. In an 8 week time frame, between dieting and his exercise program, I lost 20 pounds (170 lbs to 150lbs) and over 7% body fat. I had muscles, abs, and was very toned and defined. He took the time to do weekly checks to ensure that progress was being made, and made changes on the regimen based on the results. He's not only the best trainer I've had, he makes the time go by quickly by being friendly, personable, and an all around caring, great guy. Larry Cook is a terrific trainer. He has the ability to ask the right questions in order to glean exactly what I needed in a training session. He is an expert in kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology along with different training methodologies. Larry comes to each training session with a personalized program just for me, that being said he can also modify that session if I am injured. He has worked with me to be able to continue to train while healing previous injuries. Larry listens and communicates exactly what is needed to make my performance the best it can be. He motivates and inspires me to continue my training. He works with me daily to achieve my nutrition and dieting goals. I have been working out with Larry for almost 2 years. I have had trainers before but he is the only one I felt had a true mastery of his craft. His Knowledge of exercise and nutrition is beyond impressive. Previous to meeting Larry I would have considered myself advanced in the gym with 10 + years of experience, but even so, I learned far more with Larry in a relatively short amount of time than I had a decade before. Larry is all about the form, not the amount of weight. He breaks down the exercises into small movements while making sure posture and form are perfect to maximize effectiveness. He'll kick your butt with half amount of weight you think you can do. The toughest part for me out of everything was nutrition. If I can give one key piece of advice it would be.. Follow every bit of instruction he gives to a T. Don't think you can cheat a little here.. a little there.. and still get the results. It will literally sabotage all the effort you put to your workouts. I could go on and on about exercise and diet.. but the best thing I got out of my time with Larry was a friend. More...

He knows exactly what he's talking about, makes the time go fast while putting you through your routine and because of his extensive knowledge and understanding of how your body works gives easy to follow intelligent suggestion about how to get the best results for YOU, for your body type and your fitness goals. Professional, motivating, first-hand experience and knowledge of nutrition and proper form and dedicated are a few words to describe LARRY COOK. I trained with Larry for about a year, and within that year he truly tranformed my body, workout ethic and nutritional habits. Larry is friendly, he always kept me focused and pushed me when I needed a little extra focus. I checked my weight and nutrition with him regularily, and he was ALWAYS available to help me with my nutrition questions/concerns. Larry worked around my injuries (& schedule) and still managed to get (me) results, even with modifications. Not only do I feel stronger and healthier, my family and friends have noticed too (and it makes me feel good to look great:)
