We have a 7 year old dog that has severe anxiety issues, was pure chaos and completely uncontrollable on walks when he saw other dogs, bikes, golf carts etc (would injure himself trying to get at them), and had a few others issues. We'd tried medication to no avail and thought our dog would need A LOT of work to get even remotely controllable. Not only was it hard to manage him in public, he'd be clearly anxious, amped up and not happy in these moments. I'm not exaggerating when I say after our first session our world was changed. Lauren showed us easy steps to help with these issues that were immediately effective. We've had a few session now to work on other basic obedience and will ideally continue over the next few months. We also appreciate her philosophy in that the goal of her obedience training isn't cool tricks in the house, but in having control and safety in those "squirrel runs across the busy road" moments. She was always punctual, communicative and it was also appreciated she would often just "dish" about dogs a bit after our session - her knowledge of dogs is amazing! More...

Lauren was extremely clear in her directions and explaining why she was doing things and how it generated responses from our English bulldog. We learned a lot in just a single lesson, and our dogs were completely enamored with her (normal for one, not at all normal for the other.) She also brought the tools she recommended we use to sell us so we could immediately put them into play and work with our dog. After attending several group training sessions, I finally admitted that those did not work for our family. Transferring what was learned in a group session at an unknown facility into our home was difficult and exhausting. My husband and I lacked consistency which led to frustration, and then we'd give up. We needed individualized help that was adjusted to our lifestyle and my dog's temperament. Lauren has proved to be invaluable! Her patience and ability to simplify the delivery of commands has totally worked for us. She has packages and services that can fit any budget. Trainings are indoors and outdoors, which we need in our dog-filled Uptown neighborhood--plus, it helps in practicing in real-world circumstances. Lauren was so helpful. She had exactly the training style we appreciated. I was able to watch her do simple things from the moment she walked in to prevent the bad behaviors I was trying to change in my 7 year old boxer, they worked! She was so thorough and explained everything so it made sense, but it wasn't hard to learn and easy to facilitate. She showed me areas where I was lacking in my own authority with my dogs that could be contributing to their lack of security in me and causing some of the pushiness, demands for attention and some aggression with our other dog. Even areas I didn't think my dog needed training with, like the walk, Lauren showed me so many changes i needed to make and it was a move leaps and bounds ahead of where we were. Â I'm so proud of my dog (and me!)! I think we are well on our way to our goal. Will definitely use Lauren again! Already know we'll need her when we get our puppy, then I'm sure, refreshers. Lauren has extensive knowledge of dog behavior and helped me with the 1 year old German Shepherd I rescued from the shelter. Â When I first got him, I was afraid he would be difficult to train because he was all over the place and unfocused. Â It was evident he had not had any training. Â After a few sessions, he could do his obedience commands with no problem. Â I have continued to implement Lauren's training methods and now have a calm, focused, and happy pup. Lauren is about as knowledgeable as anyone I know when it comes to dogs. She patiently walked me through the process of training two newborn puppies, from everything from housebreaking to teething to obedience training. Â She's as good as it gets!
