Matt was so sweet and just an amazing caterer. Everyone loved the food, the ice sculpture was beautiful, and the ice cream buffet was super sweet. I would highly recommend to anyone. They did a great job. They were very accommodating with their menu. Both my husband and I are vegetarians. He offered vegetarian and vegan options for us and our pro-plant friends as well as adjusted his appetizers and meat balls that normally included red meat to using turkey instead because we told him that we felt really uncomfortable with serving any red meat to our guests because we are just very against it. Matt was great. He also offered one vegan ice cream option at the ice cream buffet so everyone regardless of their lifestyle/diet restrictions could enjoy some sweets. More...

I am SO grateful for Matt and Jess and their crew. My new hubby and I were paying for this wedding ourselves so we were ON. A. BUDGET. Not gonna lie, that's what drew me to Top Shelf to begin with- their awesome prices. I was worried that I'd have to sacrifice and that it wouldn't be the best food ever, but figured at least it would suffice. Well, I am here to tell you I was wowed! Matt is a trained chef and he can make whatever you want! The food was really good for the price. He included a wedding cake AND an ice sculpture with our catering package and both were phenomenal! Don't be turned off when you go for your tasting and arrive at an ice cream shop... it's his HOMEMADE ice cream and it's DELISH. I really wanted to add the ice cream bar but it wasn't in the budget this time... but you can count on it for when we renew our vows at 10 years! His staff was professional and helpful. Overall, I can't believe that he was able to give me all of this for the price I paid. If you are on a budget, you should DEFINITELY check out Top Shelf. Top Shelf Catering catered our backyard wedding for 60 guests. After searching through many caterers for many hours, we found TopShelf to be the best value. We wanted good food AND a good price (I am a huge value shopper). They included everything in the package... table linens, plates/cups/silverware, appetizers, dinner, beverages, cake/ice cream, ice sculpture, servers, etc.! And the food tasted great too! Matt and his team were professional and provided great service before, during, and after the wedding. They were all also flexible with our requests, even doing an ice cream bar for dessert rather than a traditional wedding cake. After many stressful hours of searching for a caterer within my budget, I came across Top Shelf Catering and emailed them for a quote. Matt (the owner), immediately responded and assured us that we would be able to get everything we wanted within our budget and invited us in for a tasting. Needless to say, everything exceeded our expectations and he made everything fit into what we wanted to spend. There was no haggling or trying to cut corners, if we wanted, he gave it to us. Everytime I emailed, I receieved a response immediately and was never left with questions. On the day of the wedding, they were at the venue hours in advance setting up and were so accomodating to us and our guests. The servers were beyond nice and made sure that the bride and groom wanted for nothing and didn't leave until everything was cleaned and done. Top Shelf Catering and Events is a really really good place to start off with. Matt the owner of Top Shelf Catering and Events has a Chef degree in Culinary Arts.
I, William Musial go to his shop on my days off and help out cook the food. I even test the food for him and see what is missing in the ingredient(s). I've know the owner for about 19-20 yrs and haven't seen him for about 6-7 yrs. The Owner of the company makes every thing right there at his own shop in Northdale. Come by the shop and talk to Matt about your next event and make your day glow... Call him at (813) 625-5820.
He also does Ice Cravings too at the shop 24hrs before the event. Ask him about the prices for the Ice Cravings and hell make your eyes glow even brighter.

We used Top Shelf catering based on a recommendation from a couple we know that used them. Matt and Lauren were awesome. The menu selection was up to us. Matt can make anything! They did an ice carving for us, we had a nice selection of appetizers, a drink fountain, ice cream and pie bar and they even did our wedding cake. It was gorgeous. I would definitely recommend Top Shelf Catering for all of your Catering needs. Charlene was very helpful in every way and she will do whatever needed to make your day special.
I also loved the fact that the linens were included, which is one less thing I had to worry about. Last but not least, the food was excellent!

I found Top Shelf Catering almost a year ago and since then they have not only catered my wedding but two of my girlfriends wedding also. Matt and Charlene really go above and beyond your expectations and truely do their best to make your big day run smoothly. Charlene expertise is outstanding, and she does whatever it takes to make your big day reach every vision that you have.
