Shout out to Janzel, an outstanding and informative docent, who braved the weather yesterday to give a few of us an incredible introduction to this lovely place. (Not sure if I got the spelling of her name right) More...

The walking trails are beautiful and peaceful. There are lovely places to just sit and soak in the desert scenery and little critters. Every season brings its own beauty; some are more colorful than others. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and accommodating and willing engage in conversations of any length. The park is beautifully maintained. More...

my favorite place. I come often after church at St. Andrews just a block north. I've enjoyed many of the outdoor music events & they are 1st class. My family has a bench at Tohono for our beloved parents who also loved coming. I'm always thrilled with the bird life & the wonderful variety of plants. I enjoy the art gallery shows & the Bistro & take guests to the gift shops & plants for sale. When ever I had any energy while going thru chemo I would come to Tohono to raise my spirits. Tohono Chul is Tucson's precious jewel. More...

Have enjoyed each trip to the well maintained grounds of the park. So glad this land was set aside for the native plants to thrive with education for generations to enjoy. Just love it .

As a photographer of wildlife and nature I really enjoy coming here for the great artistic photos I can get on these well kept grounds. I have been to the park 3 times and always find something new to set my focus on for a good photo. Anyone, especially nature lovers will love this park for the peaceful settings and trails and gardens where there is a lot you can learn about the flora and fauna and desert life all together. One of my first and most memorable places upon moving to Tucson. It quickly became my go-to relaxing space. I bought a rainbow cactus there that lived many years and it's babies after it.

I have been enjoying and promoting Tohono Chul Park since it's inception. It was formally dedicated and gifted as a 37-acre desert preserve on April 19, 1985. I have been an artist at the park in the past. Everyone should come! More...

Tohono Chul is a great learning experience as well as a pleasant place to visit. Information about all sorts of plants you might expect, but it's also filled with other treasures: a geology wall, for example, plaques identifying birds, and various demonstration gardens. It feels small when you enter, and it is intimate, but there's an awful lot there. If you live in the area get a membership and plan on many short visits. Taking all of it in at once is just not possible! More...
