Tiya took me on a journey. I expected a deep tissue massage however, this was an experience. Tiyas ability to provide a deep tissue massage is extraordinary. She was able to work past the surface knots and dig deep into the muscles. She discovered and corrected knots that I may have had for 10 years. I have been going to Tiya for over 4 years. She is the only care provider that has been able to resolve a pinched nerve in my neck and frozen shoulder.
Through her thorough and holistic understanding of how the body works and deep tissue massage, she has been able to stabilize and then eliminate the pain.
Four years ago, I suddenly was suffering from a pinched nerve in neck. I spent 6 months and hundreds of dollars with the orthopedic doctor and physical therapist and had no appreciable improvement. In fact, the orthopedic surgeon suggested that I surgically fuse my neck vertebrae. At that point, I walked out. (Later, I called him back to tell him he was a quack.)
I read of a friend who had a bad case of frozen shoulder that lead to a cracked vertebrae. Armed with this insight I searched for a deep tissue massage therapist and found Tiya. By loosening the muscles that support the spine and then the muscles around the shoulder blade, I was free of the pain.
This year, the pinched nerve and shoulder pain came back to my other side. With the previous experience, I went straight to Tiya. In 5 weeks, versus 8 months with a orthopedic doctor, I am close to pain free. The lesson learned is that in today's world of limited movement and stress, it is good to have regular deep tissue massage with Tiya to combat aging and the loss of range of motion.

Tiya is an amazing and very experienced masseuse. She is great at what she does. If you have chronic back pain, knots, neck pain, Tiya is the person to see. Tiya figured my source of pain instantly. I went to Tiya's today for the first time for a deep tissue massage. It had been almost 2 months since my last massage. I had a lot of muscle knots and tightness from playing a lot of tennis and from working on the computer all day. She knew immediately what muscles needed work. She feels her way around and goes right to spots in need. She has great hands.
