What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I believe Style is the key to a great photograph.
Over time, a good photographer becomes more complex, intentional, and bold in their posing, styling and editing. Keeping these choices consistent, cohesive, unique, foward thinking and timeless all at once is the mark of a fine art photographer.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I would ask a client what traits are most important to them in a photographer. For The W Brand, professionalism, quality & creativity are basic expectations we expect of ourselves and our peers. What do you love most about your job?
I love that I make art! And with every portrait session or wedding, a client is giving me an opportunity to be an artist, trust my vision, and be the creator. This level of trust in my skills and work is more special than that of any other service worker because what’s I am providing my clients is inspired and emotional, and that is so soeacial to me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My business allows me to put my touch on my art, and sign my name in the corner. As an artist I’ve had the pleasure of second shooting for other photographers and there is an added level of trust and passion when you’re responsible for the business they are investing in.
