Jake and Nicole don't just keep the dogs and cats happy, but other pets as well! My awesome friends have watched my rabbit for me over the years, but as we've all gotten busier, it's been a harder favor to ask (and harder to schedule). Before we moved to Boston, we were able to rely on our parents to take Max for the weekend. Max knew them and felt comfortable. Being new to the city, we didn’t know who we could turn to or who Max would like. Then a friend of ours recommended Nicole and Jake. Upon first meeting Nicole we could tell that her sweet kind demeanor would be a good match for our loveable, cuddly cock-a-poo. After 2.5 years, our previous cat sitter retired and we were struggling to find someone who we trusted to take care of our 13-year-old cat, Lucy, when we go away. Nicole and Jake watched our beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog Buster many times while we resided in Boston. They were wonderful care givers, great house "guests" (they stayed in our house when we vacationed) and they left the house cleaner than when we left. We have had each independently watch Buster and they are respectful of our home and our space. Buster loves them equally and went crazy when either walked into the house! I have used Nicole multiple times now and will continue to use her services in the future. I have two cats, one with special needs, and she has been great with them. When you meet her and see her with your animals you can see that she is clearly an animal 'person' letting them take the lead in interacting. Nicole's experience walking dogs from a wide variety of backgrounds from her time volunteering with the ASPCA made us feel confident choosing The Urban Leash an she did an awesome job petsitting for our aged Boston terrier. While he is incredibly sweet, it is frankly a pain in the neck that he would prefer none of the rest of humanity to touch him besides me and my husband. We were so worried when our previous petsitter moved abroad and now we're so happy knowing Dewey is happy hanging with Nicole when on we're traveling. I can't say enough about how great Nicole and Urban Leash are!!
She stayed with our dog Nico and cats Archie and Baby for 10 days. She sent daily updates with pictures. I had no doubt they were well taken care of.
When we got home the pets were happy to see us but not frantic the way they have been with previous pet sitters which means they had a good time while we were gone! :-) That alone says it all. I think Nicole is professional... diligent... and loves animals. This is not just a job for her... it's her passion! More...

Nicole is a lifesaver! I have two 13 year old cats who are brother and sister and I have always felt tied down with them but with Nicole's pet sitting services, I no longer feel guilty leaving them alone - after a visit, she will send me photos of my cats and also tell me sweet stories of how they acted when she played and cared for them - she is invaluable if you are totally attached to your pets - she has a keen awareness of the love and attention cats need and as an owner you can have 100% peace of mind when away from your pets - 5 stars for sure! Nicole is the best dog walker in the world. She took such patient care of my old, terribly spoiled 11-year old yorkie. I would have used her services until the end of time, but am moving to from Back Bay to Seaport. She never forgot to text me to let me know how each of his 2 x a day walks went, and always sent a picture too. Totally made my day to get her messages and a pic of my fur baby. She was never late and was always felexibke accommodating if our schedule needed some minor adjusting. On Dolces last walk before my move, she even left a thank you card with little pictures printed of dolce during their walks. Her pricing is fair and affordable and she has a wonderful personality. She always invoices by email accurately and accepts easy payment methods, from cash and check to Venmo! If you’re looking for a dog walker in the Back Bay Area, look no further than The Urban Leash.
