Great Atmosphere. Good
Beautiful property, excellent service, reasonably priced, great location.
The drinks were great and it's a cute quiet little spot but the bartender was a bit unprofessional, taking shots with friends while we waited 10+ minutes for drinks. Would go again but it would of been perfect with someone slightly more attentive! More...
My experience at the Tillary started out terrible. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, so we went upstairs to the restaurant to eat while we waited. After an hour, we still hadn't received our food and went inside to check. The server dishonestly told us that the food was coming up the elevator as we spoke, but thirty minutes later we still had no food. We decided to cancel the order and leave the restaurant, when Andy (the front desk manager) overheard the situation and stepped in to help. He ended up upgrading our room to an amazing suite, gave us drink vouchers for the bar, and breakfast coupons! Andy really turned our stay around. Thank you! More...

Great Bartenders, Staff and the outside Bar area.
I love the Tillary. It’s very comfortable, clean, and affordable for the area.
Our room was very clean and we enjoyed the contemporary design throughout the hotel. There is a small cafe on the ground floor and a rooftop bar/patio on the second floor. We enjoyed the ability to get coffee in the morning at the cafe without having to leave the hotel. The staff was always helpful and accommodating to our needs. Good value. Only small issue would be noise ... I would suggest a quieter, slower door closure for the hotel rooms... It was also a bit loud as there's construction going on around the property currently... if traveling with kids I suggest packing a noise machine!About 10 min walk to subway. We would stay here again. More...
Wonderful stay. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious, clean, and very affordable. The rooftop bar is fun and an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn. Steps away from great restaurants in DUMBO too. Stay here. You won't regret it. More...
Visit my Brooklyn and stay at The Tilary Hotel and tell them World Bride Magazine sent you!

I love it!! Beautiful view and excellent service!
Great location. Very helpful staff
Thank you Hotel Tillary, my stay was great! Having stayed there for the last three weeks I got a pretty good overview of the whole place. And you did not disappoint. The staff was always accommodating and answered every question I had upon arrival. The hotel vibe/decoration was well thought out. I never once felt unsafe. My room was great. Spacious enough for a long stay. Yes, the shower had no door and does spray water onto the floor but it wasn't slippery because I used the mat...lol. And it was very little at that. Small fridge made it easy to shop and have some beverages/meals on hand. Keurig coffee maker made my morning brew easy. The bed was huge and super comfy. And my room was serviced and perfect each and everyday I arrived back from work. I stayed on the back side of the hotel so no real street noise. But you are in the city ! So not sure what you would expect otherwise. No restaurant but to be honest food delivery was easy door to door and why wouldn't you want to eat out! It's Brooklyn! And I heard a restaurant was coming, so I'll be back to check that out! The Secret Side Bar upstairs! The best! The staff there were so pleasant and always ready to chat and make a good drink for you! I looked forward to my after work evening cocktails! I also loved the Brooklyn snacks offered in room and at coffee bar. What a great way to promote actual Brooklyn based businesses. And the fitness center was just right for my needs and had enough equipment for just about anything and anyone! If I had one negative thing to say and really just a side note....the doors! They are quite heavy and they close loudly. So some nights if others had late nights that would wake you up. Thank you Hotel Tillary for making this stay so seamless for me. Really being away for so long... is well long! And you made it feel like home! More...
This hotel is pretty cool. I liked the art deco-like theme and the oversized board games in the lobby. The hallways on the way to the rooms could definitely do with better lighting; I get the whole mood lighting thing but this was kind of creepy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, although when I was checking in a large party was arriving and the staff was more focused on helping them (understandable). Also, I noticed that one of my towels had a hole in it and they forgot to give me a rag, but when I told the housekeeping lady she was totally nice about it.All in all, I had a good experience here, the price was reasonable and my room was nice. Kudos to you Tillary Hotel! Ramone at the front desk is amazing! I had a whole slew of questions, and he had so much patience! I am not sure I would have had that kind of patience! I was so impressed. What an awesome experience, to speak and deal with someone so pleasant, so caring. More...

Stay at the Tillary Hotel in December 2018. Room 337 at the back of the hotel. + Positive points + Beautiful lobby Great location (near the Manhattan & Brooklyn bridge, 8min walk from Dekalb Av station with express metro line to Manhattan, easy for Uber, Lyft + bus lines) Welcoming staff Nice room, well equipped and big comfy bed ! Affordable Afropunk Brooklyn : the Commodore park is at a walking distance from the hotel - Negative points - I wouldn't recommend this hotel for winter stays : I'm usually not sensitive to cold but the rooms are below the normal temperature and it's impossible to adjust. Always in my bed when I was in the room. Better for warmer months : there are 2 beautiful and well equipped terraces. Poorly isolated from noise and from the outside : cold, you can hear neighbours talking, noise of the street (but I was at the back of the hotel, it's lower). Be aware that there will be $75 fee or guaranty/night charged on your credit card (refundable after your stay). There's no mention of it anywhere, even if the booking was done on the hotel's website (no general conditions sent to the customer, which is practically illegal on an e-commerce standpoint). It is only mentioned verbally during the check-in. And when you're asking questions about the fees, no-one feels confortable talking about them There's also a resort fee for 2 bottle of water/coffee-tea in your room, access to "the business center", for the complementary wi-fi, access to the gym that isn't included when you're doing your booking via third party website (hotels.com, booking.com,...) No brush in the toilets. The shower is badly designed : there will be water everywhere. No restauration at the hotel. More...
Just not sure where to start, made a reservation through the hotel website directly, received multiple confirmations and even a phone confirmation when I called the day prior to my arrival to confirm my suite. I get to the hotel and they tell me they don't have a room for me and there was a glitch in the system. After standing at the from desk for over 40 minutes with no one giving me an answer besides "we are working on it" ... she finally came back and said "we can give you a room but not a suite" ... fast forward after I pretty much yelled, they "FOUND" me a suite and were able to accommodate me. Staff at the whiskey bar was unhappy and wouldn't honor our free drink tickets that were given to us in lieu of the room mishap. Never again. This is an update from my original review. After this review and reaching out the hotel, we were accommodated more than graciously by the hotel manager, he did a more than exceptional job at making sure we were taken care of and happy. On top of that the staff this time around was so much better and we left feeling pleased. We will definitely be staying here again, due to the hospitality provided by the hotel manager, it has now become the hotel of choice while in the area. More...
From the minute you enter the amazingly decorated lobby you're in love! The staff treated me like royalty. They thought of everything. And just wait until you see the room....your mouth will drop. Beautiful. And the bedding was like sleeping on a cloud. Can't wait to return. More...
beautiful very plush hotel
I love a good paint & sip but this henny and paint night at the Tillary hotel for Columbus day weekend was super lit!! Hence the term "henny & paint the super lit edition". The tillary hotel is located right on Flatbush Ave and easy to get to by public transportation. My review isn't of the actual hotel itself but my experience of an event that I attended. There's a bar upstairs with outside seating that's super cute, small but chic. The front desk staff was friendly & welcoming as well. The event was located on the lower level in the basement which you had to take the elevator to get to and the rug in elevator made me smile. Being born & raised in Brooklyn, us Brooklynites rep our borough like no other. The theme of the night was from a famous lyric from a Jay-z song (oceans) stating, "The only Christopher we acknowledge is Wallace"Did Christopher Columbus really discover America? Anyway we'll save that discussion for another day....The venue was nice & accommodating, the event was well organized, the drinks were flowing, the music was popping and it was an incredible event. I had a blast!! More...
Really nice hotel! Nice and vlean
More...
I went back a second time to the hotel and my second stay was great. Very comfortable and everything perfect. The staff was exceptionally nice as well. Highly recommend.
I love this hotel it always smell like perfume
This was a great place to stay the night before boarding a cruise to Quebec from the Brooklyn cruise terminal.
The TillaryThe staff was pleasant and helpful.Pros-The rooms were clean. The rooms were spacious . The bed was comfortable. There was a cute rooftop-like area with games to play like connect four and Jenga. It is close to the Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO.Grocery store nearby. Swanky boutique decor. Cute photo booth -esque camera in the lobby.Cons-It is located directly off of a busy street . For visitors who use car share apps it can be difficult to find address. Breakfast options were limited and overpriced .There is not a soap dish holder in the shower. The shower doesn't have a full door, the floor gets drenched. More...
Absolutely brilliant courtyard area to chill out in on a Balmy NYC SUMMERS NIGHT! Fantastic location, and awesome friendly vibe with all the Staff!!
I don't understand the bad reviews. We just spent 5 nights here and we had an amazing time! The staff was friendly and accommodated an early check in since we got on a red eye. We truly appreciated that. The drinks at the bar on the 2nd floor were good and affordable. Plus they have some family style games for you to play. Super cute. If you've been to New York before then you know the lodging is never really spacious. So I didn't expect too much. But we still fit comfortably in our room and had some of the best sleep ever!! Literally 10 hours, the beds were great. We were in town for the VMAS and it was a quick 12 minute Uber to the radio city hall. It was also super convenient getting into Manhattan on the subway (2 stops) which was our primary transportation the other days. It's also a 10 minute walk to dumbo brooklyn which is a site to see. We had a blast. Will definitely recommend to anyone. More...
Abdolutely incredible experience with this hotel, if i could give them more stars i would. My boyfriend mentioned it was our anniversary and they went above and beyond our expectations. We received a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room, a room upgrade, 2 free drink vouchers for their hotel bar, and a gift bag of snacks! Everyone in the hotel was super nice as well. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in Brooklyn, definitely returning soon! More...
My partner and I chose the Tillary Hotel for ourselves and our guests for our wedding in DUMBO. We found the hotel to be comfortable and clean and the staff were kind and accommodating. The second floor bar and outdoor area was a great spot to relax before and in between events. While there is not much going on in the surrounding area, it was a quick walk or Lyft from downtown Brooklyn and our wedding festivities in DUMBO. Easy access to the Manhattan Bridge and the BQE for those that were driving. Would definitely recommend the Tillary if you are visiting the area or need a wedding hotel in Brooklyn. More...
It's nice and elegant very cozy.
Great room and very helpful and attentive staff. Close to train lines and to local restaurants.
Place was a life saver. We did everything last minute because of an family emergency and not only did they take the time to make sure we we comfortable, the didn't charge any nonsense fees that the rest of the hotels we tried to book did. Super friendly, amazing rooms and awesome outdoor space. Will def be coming back just to hang at that bar! More...
Really great hotel staffed by nice people. Cool, stylish place that still feels comfortable and relaxed. Also, it seems to be owned and staffed by very diverse people which is excellent. Even the little coffee shop in the lobby is delicious. Only complaint is the walls and windows are a little thin, especially if you have a room looking out onto Flatbush. But that kinda comes with the nyc territory. It does seem that there are some homeless folks staying here as other reviews noted, but so what? They're all very nice and keep to themselves and behave just like any other guest. And good for them for getting the chance to sleep somewhere nice for a change. Also, great gym in the basement! Really nice hotel in a great location. The walls are a bit thin, my husband I had to listen to someone yell at herself and curse all night for 3 nights, but the staff was really nice especially the door man, I wish I could remember his name. The bar was small but nice, great bartender. I would stay here again on my next trip to NYC. More...
Beautiful space, great location-- clearly the walls are made of paper Tissue? Clouds You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are . ... doing.... saying.... thinking? The staff is so nice it went from 3 stars to 4 But thin walls can be a game changer if you're a light sleeper or require privacy .... or you know- want t More...
My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Dazzler and it was the best! Employees were great, room was beautiful and the coffee shop was great. We dream of it everyday! We're definitely staying there next time. Love you Dazzler! More...

Honestly not a bad hotel at all, even though we only stayed for 1 night! The only downside we experienced is that since our room was facing the street, it made the quality of sleep a bit challenging because of outside traffic noise (ie. Trucks, aggressive driving). Other than that, the staff never bothered us, neither did other guests surprisingly, considering we came pretty close to the weekend, and although the bathroom situation (wall dividing the bathroom to the room) seemed a bit of an odd thing in terms of construction placement, the room seemed very chic and we enjoyed our stay to say the least despite a lot of people stating that the walls seemed paper thin. Best value hotel in the entire NYC metro area. Clean, hip, understated, comfortable and incredibly affordable. Forget I wrote this.
This place is a hidden gem that is walking distance from my job. I came here with a friend during the playoffs to watch the game on the rooftop and I enjoyed myself.
Random Hotel bar I encountered with my cousins while in Brooklyn to catch up. Kind of hidden inside the hotel but there is an outdoor patio with a heater! Anyways, nice staff & Ritzy was an awesome bartender with great suggestions in the area!Kind of a small place inside but definitely cozy and nice if you wanted to catch up with a few friends. More...
Great new rooftop outdoor bar to grab a drink in downtown Brooklyn! I'll be back more often!
I hosted a work event here and both Steven and Daniel were extremely helpful and accommodating. Beautiful ambiance and they adjusted the music to our liking without any complaints. will definitely visit again.
Loving my new local!Gorgeous outdoor bar space in Brooklyn, right on the Manhattan Bridge. It's in the Dazzler hotel but open to everyone (I live im the neighborhood). And the bar is nicely stocked--cocktails plus great beer and wine. And they have respect for the beer--the right glasses for a Carlsburg are hard to find. I can't wait for summer! More...
